  • It's hard for parents to realize that they are separate from their children, and vice versa. In this deep conversation with @Oprah, I explain this concept. In The Parenting Map, I state that we often see our children as our representatives, intertwined with their destinies. Gave birth a week ago . And she is right, the love that you feel for this tiny human being is excruciatingly painful. And when you become a mom you start appreciating your own mother like never before and this realisation is so painful. Now I want to take care of my mother like I'd do for my own child.
Respect to all the mothers ❤❤❤

It gets even worse when you read stories about all the bad things that happen to children, and how you can't actually protect them from everything.
