Hi Matt and Wil! My dislikes are the bathroom is a little small and the other is the steps outside like you said. But not a big issue. That’s all my dislikes. My likes are the whole layout. Kitchen in back the desk the counter space the storage and the outside storage. Thank you Matt and Wil. It’s a very nice fifth wheel.
Good review. I ended up with a Class A because the one concern I had with the fifth wheel is most use a solid axle and leaf springs. Given how they are constructed I felt things inside would get a beating with each road trip. One thing I’d like you to point out when you review fifth wheels is whether it has an independent suspension or a solid axle. The independent suspension with disc brakes is far superior and will help the RV owner minimize maintenance and repairs.
Nice video guys, and great unit. But just so you know, the furniture is by Franklyn Furniture. Not sure on spellilng on Franklyn. But they are made in USA and the most comfortable and well made out there.
I would never pay alot of money like that for a travel trailer. NEVER unless I was rich in which case i am not..With that said..the kitchen is FANTASTIC. And FINALLY a desk for working. FIRST time to see that. Yep agree...bathroom is too small. one sink..turn that toilet straight...remove one cabinet door.....and add about another foot to the bathroom atleast. but i am in love with the desk and that awesome kitchen.
There are a lot little things that make this 5th wheel go from if to amazing. The cabinetry is top notch. I love how the storage compartments underneath are carpeted and divided so things are not sliding all around during travel. The handrail on the interior steps curved in so you don’t catch your clothes on the end. The lighting, ceiling fan and TV placement just add to the comfort of the adventure. I just wish VanLeigh would come out with a VanLeigh shorty so that could be towed easily without a duelly. PS: Thank you for the dishwasher. No one wants to be washing dishes while on vacation.
Couple little things...1. No fifth wheel has a rear fiberglass cap when there's a big passthrough storage door. 2. Very few Alpines or Montanas have rear caps

We love this unit! And will most likely be our next trailer. For our likes: the desk with overhead storage, storage tray in the back, and the bar that looks out over the living room. I have more than 3 dislikes: the placement of the outlets on the front of the cabinets ( this seems a big dangerous), no shelves in the shower insert and it looks really cheap, the W/D closet door doesn't open far enough for the doors on the W/D to open all the way, and the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom do not go all the way to the wall leaving a gap to drop things in.
My favorite kitchen so far from a Beacon!! With all the years I've been looking at fifth wheels, VanLeigh Beacon seems to be the best 👌. Guys.... please point out the details on the cables that they do on the kitchen cabinets to avoid damage on cabinet doors and the fridge... just saying. Would love to see tile in bathroom
Gents, great review! One thing I noticed is that the equipment you’re using is great for audio! This unit has all the bells and whistles, as it should at the price point. My only dislike, and you pointed it out, is the two bathroom sinks. Stupid and really limits the amount of counter space. Additionally, if it was a single sink bathroom they could have put the toilet east/west making it a prime pooping position for everyone. 💩
There's so much to like about this one. It's got just about everything I would want. I like that there's no dinette that I wouldn't use. I like the "breakfast bar" and desk a lot more, as I would use each of them every day. A little touch that I really liked though, was the cable stops on the cabinet doors, keeping them from getting banged up, or banging up walls or trim. A simple idea for a meaningful benefit. I agree about the double sinks in the bathroom. I don't like the Class A's I've seen that are so nice, but have a stackable washer/dryer in the bathroom above/next to the toilet. Yes, please, let me bow my head over the toilet as I pull stuff out of the dryer. 😒 Same goes for the sink. I don't need to be stradling the toilet while brushing my teeth, unless I'm in a Class B #VanLife.
I'm normally not a 5th wheel fan, mostly because they're far more than I would need or could manage, but I love rear kitchens in ANY RV and this one is BEAUTIFUL. Edit- I forgot! I've been meaning to tell you that you have Delaware and Maryland labeled wrong on your map of the dealerships.
Nice review. I love Tiffin because of the build quality that you're getting whereas other companies cut corners on. I've never been a fan of the front bedroom models, hopefully Tiffin will make this same floor plan but with the bedroom in the back.
It's not Thomas Payne furniture. They use Franklin furniture. And you don't get fiberglass rear caps with any brand when you have the big slide out storage tray.
I currently own a 2019 Tiffin Class A. Bought in to the quality narrative when I bought it. Then I looked closer after buying it. Behind cabinets, under the coach, and any place a customer can't easily see is a terrible mess. Construction debris not removed, wire bundles not properly secured, raw flat steel stock not coated properly and several pieces not even touched (under coach). Anyway I've learned that although Tiffin definitely has issues, it's not as bad as many other manufacturers. I had to reset my expectations of coach manufacturers. I'm considering a transition from my Class A to a 5th wheel. Based on reviews of other manufacturers, yes, I'm back looking at Tiffin.
I love the desk, dishwasher, and the amount of storage inside and out. I agreed the second sink was a design flaw. It should have been a single sink and more given for the toilet. Also love the videos.

Beautiful kitchen but there's nowhere to put your drying dishes at the sink except in the dish washer but even then it's not an easy process. It would be just slightly annoying every time but that adds up
Yes! That’s the first thing I noticed when I saw the sink in that short island. The sink should be on a side wall so there’s enough counter space to put drying dishes.
Anyone have any idea on something with sleeping space for two parents and two toddlers WITH space for a motorcycle to be parked in everyday? Looking to purchase but having a hard time on sleeping situation for kids and having the motorcycle locked up. Seems like we can either have an extra bedroom or the “garaged” motorcycle but not both! Thanks in advance for any advice!
The one thing we didn’t like was the outlets on the front of the counters in the kitchen and the bathroom. Everything else was awesome. Guys, stop yanking the cabinet doors and drawers open!
Love the review, we've been waiting for you to do a video on the RKB!! That is the model that we are getting ready to order with a few changes. No dishwasher and a different color. We agree with all your 3 likes/dislikes. We wish the bathroom was laid out a bit differently but all the positives outweigh the negative in our opinion!
Three things I like about this fifth wheel are: 1. lots of storage. 2. The switch for the power cord real is on the outside and not the inside, 3. I like the Lipert steps. Three things I don't like are: 1. The door facing the rear of the trailer. 2, The placement of the kitchen should be in the middle and not the back. 3. No washer/dryer prep.

Likes: Basement storage, electric cord reel, and a ladder. Dislikes: The kitchen is inaccessible with the slides in, the three chairs take up too much room in storage while traveling, they should fold up, and the front closet doors should be retractable for better closet access.

Nice 5th wheel but not $20k nicer than the Grand Design 390RK with a similar floorplan . And there are several design choices that GD does much better. I can’t believe the awful slide ledges in the kitchen slides did not make the 3 things you dislike.
I think that this Review was Horrid, I hate how you do your Reviews, Too Choppy, pulling out drawers you almost pulled them out of their socket's. You skip a lot of features, and don't give special Details on many things. About the 5th Wheel, you can buy a house for what this costs!
Cant do a rear fiberglass cap because of the storage sliding tray on back. No 5th wheel that I am aware of offers rear fiberglass cap with rear sliding storage tray or any rear storage door at all. Montana same thing, on their legacy package, their rear den model doesn't have a fiberglass cap because of the arrear storage tray. Small sacrifice to get awesome storage. Although I agree on the bathroom, why do these manufactures keep adding 2 sinks to the bathrooms what a waste.
So the interior furniture is made by Franklin not Thomas Payne. Also, when it comes to quality with Tiffin, unless you get the flagship Beacon.. their fifth wheels are garbage. They spend way to much on the interior and lipstick and skimp on everything else from the frame to materials and build quality where you can’t see. I’d stay away from this brand all together. UA-cam the nightmare stories around these Vanleigh fifth wheels.
I love that desk. it moves this to my favorite 5th wheel. I also like that the kitchen is raised separating it from the living room. However I HATE that there is no dining table. This is not the waffle house we don't eat at the counter. I would gladly give up some of that kitchen space for a table and chairs. I like the size of the fridge but I hate the stainless steel
These 5th wheels all offer so much a flaw like a poorly designed bathroom actually is a huge problem. The desk is nice and kitchen is almost to big. When handling raw meat, I don't want to prepare it in one side then move it across the room.
For that kind of money and quality those steps should be a zero effort automatic hydraulic operating system ... period... love the rig seriously turned off by those steps, I'm to old with a bad back to worry about folding those in or out... and when was the last time anyone has ever needed two sinks in a bathroom? Loose that extra sink add cabinets give that shitter more room..
I didn’t like this 5th wheel at all. I understand that the bedroom & bath have to be up a few stairs but that kitchen layout just made it seem so tight. All in all, the layout doesn’t work for me. Dislikes, chunky valences, stairs to kitchen (also, I think slide out makes kitchen impassible when slides are in)toilet position and useless 2nd sink. Likes dishwasher, brighter decor, outdoor storage.
The kitchen slides are a disaster 👎👎 Why do they have such a huge edge on the bottom front of the slide!! Headroom is very marginal in the front kitchen. 6’3” should have more clearance than that, given where he is standing. That kitchen is going to be claustrophobic for anyone over 6foot tall.
This Beacon is not worth s16000.00. It has Westlake tires, steps with no hydraulics, worst bathroom I ever seen. The rear cap has serious leak potential. Seen better 5th wheels 100k cheaper. Also some of the drawers did not close very good. Should have included solar for the fridge

It looks like you would have access to only 1 Refrigerator door with the slides in. I've seen front kitchen models that can avoid that problem.
