I miss seeing your floss tube! I good all is well with you and look forward to seeing you share all your amazing work with us.
Love your finishes and your progress on your wips. Happy stitching!
LOVED everything about this!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Loved seeing your wips and new starts. Stitch North sounds like so much fun and looked like so much fun on ig. Some year I will be there. You made great progress on Thirza. I agree, that center rose bunch was quite a project! Congratulations again on being a model stitcher. Your stitching is beautiful. Gigi was smart to grab you!
You choose projects with such intricate borders - and you match them up on the first round. Please share your wizardry for making that happen. Those complicated borders intimidate me.
You are always such a joy to watch, Lauren. The model stitch came out beautifully. Gigi is an amazing designer. I finished Demon Copperhead and enjoyed the Audible version very much. It is a hard read as was The Four Winds. Take care.
I watched elizabethanncanstitch vlog about Stitch North. You guys had so much fun and enabled each other beautifully 😂. Great wips and your scarf is amazing. Learning all those different stitches. A piece of art for sure.
I just love that Moonbeam Tea pattern and the flosses look so delicious!! I might have to get that for myself. It was great to see you at the retreat.
Congratulations on being a model stitcher!! Such a great video ~ so excited for our BBD Jolly July!! You kept me company while stitching BBD Summer Jubilee 😊
So much enablement this episode! I ordered Moonbeam Tea and Coffee & Eggs - might have to get those Roxy Floss conversions too! Great episode, thanks for sharing :)
Your Artsy Housewife pieces look great. Didn't know she has a Patreon account. I will check that out. Thanks for sharing your books and the reviews. I usually have a fun book (mysteries, thrillers, action) and then a serious book going at the same time.
Love your videos! Everything you stitch I just want to stitch too!
I just finished a Moira Blackburn pattern called Season And Time. It took 3 months of monogamous stitching. It was so fun watching you ladies at Stitch Con. I live 15 minutes from where it was held but have never attended a retreat.
All of your projects looks so good! I love all of them. The artwork print you ordered is beautiful! I’m trying to find things that aren’t cross stitch to put up in my house too, so I know the struggle!
Beautiful progress on your pieces and love the Coffee and Eggs piece! I can relate re: your book talk and the heaviness of some books. I know people are obsessed with Kristen Hannah but I find her books to be depressing at times - I've read The Nightingale and The Great Alone. One of my favorite books I read recently was The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes. I also enjoyed The Collected Regrets of Clover.
I agree with your assessments of Emily St. John’s books except I dnf’d glass hotel. You might enjoy Herve Letellier’s the Anomaly too. Also some o Stephen West’s shawls have really fun stitch patterns similar to the rectangular shawl you are knitting. I recognize his color choices don’t align with your preferences but hey you can pick a more subdued palette. After knitting several of his shawls I find myself using more outrageous color combos which has been great fun. Happy stitching and knitting.
Your color choices for the shawl are gorgeous! I love your work, it's so good! I'll read anything by Barbara Kingsolver! I think the Kristin Hannah book is Four Winds. I found it to be a little depressing, but that's the way things were.
Your stitching is amazing and love your tips! Demon Copperhead was a good read - and agree. It was terribly heavy. It does end better though! Try ‘The Gargoyle’ by Andrew Davidson. I listed to it in audio and it is similar, but an interesting story. Cheers.
I’m also stitching Summer Quaker, so I put in some stitches on that while watching your video. You’re much further along than I am, so no tips on how to tackle the inside portion. Your other WIPs are beautiful. I’m enabled. 😊 I’m listening to Demon Copperhead on Audible as well. It is heavy and takes longer to listen to it. Great video! Take care!
Love your stitching, Lauren. I love the Artsy Housewife too, so glad that you are doing some model stitching for her. Have you been doing any jigsaw puzzles lately? I’ve done a couple “Galison” puzzles from Amazon. They are very nice puzzles and fun to do. Happy Stitching!
Wonderful video, Lauren! Your model stitch was stunning and I really appreciate your tips on that border. I truly love your fabric choices for your stitched pieces. I also enjoy your knitting and book reviews. Happy stitching!
Your stitching is fabulous! I’m impressed with your knitted scarfs too! Thank you for sharing!
Great video. Your finish is awesome, and your model stitch is stunning! I love seeing your knitting as well. You choose such pretty projects.
Your Coffee and Eggs is gorge😮💨! Love all the Stitch North starts. Great Video as always 🌷-C
I always enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing your beautiful projects
Great video, beautiful stitching projects and knitting, lovely starts and haul,Thankyou for sharing 🇳🇿❤️🪡
Your model stitch is beautiful. Every time you show the snark shawl I get the itch to start it.
Your hair is SO CUTE! Ok have to come back and watch later after work, but cant wait!
Beautiful stitching as always, and I love your scarf!
Your stitching is beautiful, you are an inspiration. 36 is so far the highest I have done on small patterns. Please keep sharing.
That Summer Quaker is GORGEOUS😍
Thanks for the book recs! I avoid heavy reads, it’s just too much for me. So I tend to go for historical mysteries or “fluffy” reads most of the time! 😁
Watched your video and knitting on a baby blanket as I’m waiting for my car to be serviced. Loved seeing all your stitching. I wonder if a red frame might pull out some of those reds in your Artsy Housewife stitch? I just finished The Women by Kristin Hannah and understand exactly what you mean. It was an excellent read but difficult at times. I had forgotten how divided the country was at that time. Haven’t started anything else yet but it will be something light for sure.
Thank you for the shoutout! I love The Flower Pot Sampler and need to buy it and kit it up immediately-can’t wait to see your next model 🤩
Always enjoy your stitching! Was good to see you on Elizabeth Ann can stitch at your retreat in Canada! Keep stitching.
Your finishes are lovely. I think the Artsy Housewife has some really fun designs. I enjoy seeing the progress you have made on both your xstitch and knitting. Nothing wrong with having 3 shawls on the go 🙂
Thank you Lauren for another great video. My suggestion for the Coffee and Eggs frame would be a Red Frame (vintage). Thanks for the kind mentions and for not having an intro to your videos !!!
Love all of the Artsy Housewife stitches. Beautiful knitting projects, too - glad you show us your knitting. I also really loved Station Eleven - haven’t read any of her others. I loved Demon Copperhead - I’ve been up and down with Kingsolver but this is one of my favs. Kristen Hannah is an amazing writer - give The Nightingale a try - so good. And, I just finished The Women - excellent; lived that time and it was so nostalgic for me.
Your stitching is beautiful, Lauren! I enjoyed your explanation of how you attacked the border for your model stitch. I like to have a plan before I begin a border.
Can’t wait to see progress on all of your great new starts. I have been putting off Demon Copperhead for the summer when I have more concentrated reading time. I will also be utilizing the audiobook. I was very happy to see the author wasn’t reading her book this time. I have had a hard time with some of her audiobooks in the past because she was difficult to listen to without nodding off…no voice inflection, etc. Love seeing your knitting as that is a craft I have never been able to master.
❤❤❤
Hey there..loved all of your stitching! I’ll be watching to see how you figure out Summer Quaker. I’ll be starting it next month 🥰
Love all your conversions to Roxy Floss, I love Kerri's floss and fabric I will definitely have to check out the colours you used! I'm heading to Stitch North in the fall and really looking forward to it, my first retreat! Love your floss tube and your stitching is gorgeous. 😍
Great to see your projects and congrats on your finishes! Thank you for verbalizing why I am struggling with reading Demon Copperhead... I am enjoying it, but it's a tough read!
🌸
What beautiful work!
Hey Lauren! Greetings from Dallas! It was so great meeting you at Stitch North! Are you going next year? I’m already signed up for Weekend Two. Really like all the pieces you’re stitching. I’ve been eyeing Summer Quaker for over a year now. May need to go ahead and get it. LOL!!
You have to get Jacob's new sampler that you are ignoring...😮
This is harassment Betsy!!
@@newhampshirestitcher hey it’s what I do
Hi Lauren I just have a quick question. Do you use a rechargeable portable lamp when you go to retreats? I’m looking for one for travel and I’ve seen you all use those. I didn’t know if you did. I was just trying to think of someone that could give me the name of it thank you so much. Love your videos.😊
You are absolutely getting momentum on Thirza! I know you might not believe it (😂) but that center bottom tree looks huge but I swear it stitched up surprisingly fast! I think you will be surprised how fast she goes next time you pick her up ❤
❤️❤️❤️
