Folks, being a classic car guy and now a pontoon owner, It is great to see that folks are saving the vintage toons and putting a smile on our faces for those of us that have done this on 4 wheels for years!!
I have watched about 30 vids showing pontoon restorations, this is the best by far! I just got a 1990 24ft Harris Float Bote and was thinking of restoring it myself but after watching your video, I might need to find someone with experience to restore it. Great job & great video!
Absolutely beautiful!! I recently purchased a neglected 21' Voyager tritoon and have been pondering a restoration on it. Your video has inspired me with with ideas. Once again absolutely beautiful job on your boat.
Dude man.....boats sick musics sick, the aluminum polish is what got me all hot and bothered. Wow wow wow! Kicking it on that boat would be a good time! Mad Props!!!
If it is not too much trouble, could you please post a product number for the flooring you used? Also, if you could say if you put it over plywood, or just on top of the toon members it would help us to understand how you did it. It looks great.
I cant really break it all down. I have alot invested in just my time. This started as just a simple replace carpet with vinyl and just got way out of hand. There are about 20 lighted cup holders at about $9 bucks a piece....so $180.00 in just that :)
@@deerejon17 Well, the finished product is indeed something to be proud of. I just acquire a 24' Fisher and am intending to upgrade it with new lighting, upholstery as needed, amenities as skill will allow, and to unscrew what looks to be the wiring nightmare that's in place. Your example is far beyond my skill level but at least I have some ideas now. Thank you for the reply and, again, OUTSTANDING job, sir.
Great transformation! Question on the flooring, after you took the old flooring off, what did you use to get the old adhesive off? Or was that left on there? Prepped at all? Thanks in advance!
@@deerejon17 thanks for the quick reply! Do you remmeber what grit you used? I assume around 60 or 80? Also, what type of new flooring is that? I cant seem to find that look in a wide strip like that. Thanks for all your help!
Wow. Super impressive I am doing a rebuild now and using some of your ideas what thickness is the bar top and end table material and the end table looks to be 12" x 24" ?????
I got the flooring from a salvage guy who buys leftovers from all the manufactures around Northern Indiana. You can purchase it from lots of different places online...Overtons etc. It is kinda pricey.
Nick S I had about $7500 in upholstery, seating, lighting, stereo, plumbing, new ladder, flooring, etc. 4 months work working most Saturday and Sunday’s and evenings for a few hours.
@@Jack-ng1su if you do the work your self there is nothing close to 50k in this build unless you count the hours also..... probably around 10-15k in parts and materials, maybe slightly more or less.

Amazing work! The LEDs, the fire pit and the polished aluminium really pushed this project over the top. Very nice 👍

Good job. I keep seeing these remodelings on pontoons. Makes me want to do one just for fun. Lol
I also would like to give it a spin, I am inclined this way, but it is not as easy as it looks

Yes very nice job unbelievable looks beautiful can’t wait to do mine read ideas you have thank you sir
I like the plank deck
Well done, very cool!
A price for the pontoon before and after would have been nice along with the costs for the rebuild.
Great job. Love it.

In the trash now....

ONE TERM, TWICE IMPEACHED FAILURE!!!!
Wow awesome job!!
Hainzie 73 thank you
Really outstanding job. Not prying into your business but if someone wanted to replicate your build, how much should they expect to spend?

Jon Scott did you glue vinyl right over the old carpet?
How much did it cost you in material. This is the coolest pontoon ive seen restored.
Great job.
Excellent. Where did you get your furniture?

Ruslan Zhuk I rented a big floor sander. Worked pretty good!

Emory Vaughn. Thanks
@@deerejon17 thank you for the reply... i am just torn about using 1/2" or 3/4" thickness on the tops i am building
Sweet
Nice job!
What kind of vinyl did you use? How well has it held up, has it sun faded and is it slippery? About to remodel my toon your input would help.
It’s all marine grade...glue is important don’t skimp. After a good swan of the deck it looks like new
TheOwen1974 not slippery either
If you don't mind me asking where did you purchase the flooring my pontoon is a couple years old and is ruin.
Cody Miller second that... where is it from?
I got the flooring from a salvage guy who buys leftovers from all the manufactures around Northern Indiana. You can purchase it from lots of different places online...Overtons etc. It is kinda pricey.
billsboatstuff.com he has some cheap overstock on woven and basket weave. Prices are unbeatable but his colour choices are limited.
The flooring is called AquaTread.
Is that a portable fire pit? Can you give me some more info on that please!
Lucas Gregroy yes it is. I will look. It’s been a few years and I purchased it on ebay
Roughly, why did this build cost? I really want to do a refurb but need to weigh the cost benefit. Thanks.
Nick S I had about $7500 in upholstery, seating, lighting, stereo, plumbing, new ladder, flooring, etc. 4 months work working most Saturday and Sunday’s and evenings for a few hours.
Where did you guys get the flooring?
Locally here in northern indiana from a pontoon overstock/salvage place
@@deerejon17 if you can think of the name I would appreciate it I need a lot of stuff for my rebuild
what did you use for counter tops
HDPE. High Density Polyethylene.
Where did you get the seats?
Megan Trejo pontoon salvage places around northern Indiana
That is sick, what does that cost to do?
Kelly Andersen around $20
I’m guessing there was more then 20 bucks in coors light drank.
How long is this one
Bladimir Siri 22.5’

I got it locally as I live in Northern Indiana where there are a lot of pontoon manufacturers but you can source it at PontoonStuff.com

Lights are nice but they will rarly get seen
Ricky Bobby not during the day but at night it’s awesome
What no disco ball
Video should be titled how to turn 5k into 50k
NO, how to SPEND 50k on a restoration!

Where is stripper pole? Lol
Too much useless light.
