So sorry for the delay, I hope you check back and see my reply. Several methods can be used to polish your toons. 1. Pressure wash, then Diluted hydrochloric acid which is muriatic acid found at Homedepo or pool supply. Put it in a pump up sprayer and don't let it dry, rinse and repeat but once is good. then a quick sand with 320 or 400 sand paper with a sander (don't stand in water pug into a GFI be safe or you will be the light bulb). then buffer, compound found at auto parts store.

I am overwhelmed. I just came in the house in tears and gave up. I can't do it. The task is so overwhelming. I have a different kind of boat, but it is so filthy, it looks like your did. I don't know what to do first. Can I get the counsel wet with a hose and brush?

Great job! I wanted to ask how you cleaned the pontoon tubes to get it that shiny? Did you use a polisher/buffer? If so, what brand of cleaner did you use? I want to do my pontoon tubes like that. Btw, I hope your family enjoyed the boat before you sold it. Peace to you.

Oh don't forget a breathing mask for any acid used bad stuff to breathe. I used a aluminum wheel rim clearer from a auto detail shop that I had to dilute about 5 parts water to 1 part acid clearer. started buffing but was way to messy you will be covered with black buffing compound.
