looking good, a 40mm lift is all i would get because it a independent front suspension setup and you don't want to run to much angle on the cv's. and that will level it up.
You said the carpets were wet in the first video. Floors in these things get wet from block drain tubes in the sunroof (unblock with whipper snipper cord) and re-tighten and re-seal the roof rail bolts. That will stop your new carpet getting wet and yuck.
Diamond in the rough looks mint mate you can get fabric dye for the back carpet so it will at least it will be the same colour and I recon black out the rims and take the side steps off also gives the illusion of it being a bit higher before the lift
Good on you thanks. For carpet use bar of sard wonder soap 3$ Coles. Strip out use air to blow interior out don't be shy to pressure wash inside and inside door skins it will dry it saves lot of time looking good
I have one of these but the 3ltr turbo diesel. Absolutely love it. Tows my drift car around and use it as a daily driver. Just quick question. did you treat the rust before putting the new carpet in?
I have an 07 diesel with the 5 speed auto and only 150ks on it. My paint is stuffed however, clear coat is gone. Still love it! Mine has the cream interior and was mouldy when I got it. 40 mins per door and another few hours for the rest! Haven’t tackled the carpets yet…
Massive improvement over what it looked like. How did the hoid lining turn out? I need to restore my hood lining in my 80 Series, but not sure if it is salvageable
A product called G101 is a game Changer when it comes to cleaning cars. I own a panel shop and we use it one full car interior hood lining and all! Buy it by the 5L and it lasts for ages.
Looks good mate! Definitely take your time and do it as best as possible the first time round. Takes a bit longer but is definitely worth it in the long run.
Cheers Pat! I haven't been this excited about a build for a long time now. Absolutely will be taking my time to make this thing as awesome as possible.
might wanna look into some air lockers if you plan on offroading, i heard some horror stories of the rear diffs crowns shredding when offroading, though have had no experience with that so far thankfully.
Get a leaf blower to blow all the crap out before you put the carpet. Also would hav been a good idea to use soapy water to wash the inside chassis, just to make sure no stink while the car was apart.
Exactly what I was waiting for moite! I'm gonna be following the build every step of the way. Btw is your car petrol or diesel? I was thinking of getting an exhaust done on mine but my mates a truck mechanic and he said that exhausts on petrol cars doesn't sound as nice as on diesels. So I'm not too sure if I should run a straight pipe or not.
Toyota usually site them behind the glove box. Glove box locating lever disconnects and the glove box drops down. Filter then behind little access door 👍
I can’t wait to install the fun mods on this thing 😈.
A trd supercharger?
Is there any place where they do builds like these in Melbourne ?
Hey man, enjoying this series so far. Great work, you're smashing it.
Cheers Brian!

Good info! 40mm is plenty anyways. Some nice biiigggg tyres and we’re on 😈

Wow! It’s looking great man!!! Nice work!! I think you should murder it out! Black wheels, black bull bar, black tints!

Reckon you should peel them 4000 V6 stickers off and debadge the grande badge on the back would look pretty good! Up to you tho whether you like them
Black it all out and no badges ya reckon? Not a bad idea!

Thanks! I’ll look this product up and give it a try 😈
2 inch OME kit front and back. I love mine.
New carpet made a world of a difference
It’s going to be nice work horse 👍
Small bottle of eucalyptus oil, dab onto cloth and wipe it round the cabin/carpets, smells amazing.

@@itsmikelake It'll look good in the end!
Good series. My prado had leather seats which were damaged with age. Another option could be to replace it with the cloth trim.

Hey man. Shouldve gotten a steam cleaner for all the interior pieces man. Works a treat and then protect with 303 protectant
I’ll be sure to do this still, they definitely need it 😅
Let’s gooo! Loving the content mikey
Hey Mike could you tell me where you got your carpet from ? Love your content!

Chur bro!
Put ROH rims on and dobinsons 2inch lift kit as well as maxxis rzr aggressive alterations
The songs are probably on the loud side mate.
I reckon it needs to be toned down a little bit
Where did you get the carpets from great video

Exhausts on petrol cars sound much nicer imo.... His prado is a 4L v6 petrol varient btw
@@mohammedhameed7891 oh thanks brother! Yeah I think my mate thinks that bc he likes the sound of the turbo
Should chuck some bucket seats or just some supercheap SAAS seats in cos whyyyy not haha
Would be sick if there was some TSG rims for it 🤔
Run an ozone generator through the whole car. Helps kill organic smells in awkward places
Fun
Make sure to replace the air con filter
Oh yes, completely forgot about that one. Thanks!

go grey wheels, like a lead/ dark cement colour
Where did you got the carpets from? and how much were they?
Knox auto carpets 🤝🏻
Get a steam cleaner from Kmart. Easy for cleaning
Please leave the original wheels silver. A nice bit of originality 👍
Agree with you David! Will be repainting them silver as I really like the look
Is that Daniel Leone
Hey I have canvas covers front and back
Slam it on 22 's bit of camber good to go. 🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
If you put sheep skin seat covers on those seats they will be more comfortable than your bed, believe me.
Great series but the motion sickness from watching is a bit rough.
Mike what’s up nephew
Don Vito my guy! How’s it travelling?
I'm chasing a bullbar to suit a 2009 120 Prado. Interested in selling yours when done?
I have an ARB one if you're interested.
@@michaelblair4744 I'm interested depending on condition, price and where it's located. Any chance of a phone number please Michael

Go silver on the wheels😊
I would rather clean up the original carpet rather than have an aftermarket one.
There was no saving this carpet 😅
Not the best idea to pressure wash the engine you could accidentally knock a hose or fitting loose or wreck a sensor.
I’ve ever experience this with the many 100’s of cars I’ve owned over the years personally! But thanks for the advice 😁
