You're absolutely allowed to have your own opinion about every performance. Aoa stans trashed mamamoo for their good luck performance. They still do. Even tho moomoos were kind about aoa's egotistic stage (even tho it was plain, not at all dynamic and the whole stage was a copy of mamamoo's mma 2016) many moos were disappointed by aoa's stans behaviour that's why some pulled receipts and changed their minds. Don't mind them. It's no shocker that they attacked you too for having an opinion. Keep doing you and thanks for the reactions💗 if you have time you should react to Mamamoo's FULL mama 2018 performance and the mma 2018 one.

I praised them for trying to put their vibe/style in the song and suddenly all those comments from their stans insulting not only mamamoo's cover but mamamoo themselves made me change my mind. They're also sabotaging Mamamoo by reporting (thus the comments getting deleted) good comments on Naver & UA-cam and of course sites such as Genie. I will be sticking with Mamamoo and BTS. The only groups with respectful fandoms.

Soyeon- leader, main rapper, vocalist, center, producer, genius. She was in Produce 101 and Unpretty rapstar. She is the fastest girl group rapper in kpop.
Miyeon- main vacalist, oldest member. She was a trainee in YG and was supposed to debut with Blackpink. She can play guitar and she has a lot of covers in youtube that you can watch.
Minnie-main vocalist, can play the piano. She also has a lot of covers in youtube. She is Thai. Can speak Korean, Thai and English.
Soojin- main dancer, vocalist, rapper. She is the hot one in the group but a cutie off stage. Just watch her Hot Issue fancam and you will get it.
Yuqi(pronounced as Uki or Ugi)- Lead vocal, lead dancer and the cutest one. She is Chinese. Can play guzheng a Chinese instrument. You can find a lot of videos of her playing it. Looks cute but has a deep voice. Can speak Chinese, Korean and English.
Shuhua- vocalist, visual, dancer. Youngest in the group. She is Taiwanese. Is in love with Soojin. Can speak Chinese and Korean.

It's because of the fcking nature of the show. I'm a moomoo and a want to enjoy, for example, aoa performances, but the fanwars are making me feel sick. I'm definitely still gonna follow their music after the show, but right now I'm feeling kinda weird about it
Understandable. I just felt I needed to address the suits and Egotistic performance by Aoa being better than Mamamoo. Didn’t mean for it to come off as biased, my point was they were both good in their own way, to say one is better is just wrong.

I was afraid that would happen with this show, but absolutely everything I have seen on UA-cam and Twitter have been pretty much unconditional support for all groups. Everyone, of course, has their favorites and preferences for the outcome, but I haven't seen any actual fan wars yet. There's even a multifandom cooperation going on to sub the show together.

Its so funny , your confusion about G Idle and Soyeon.. ....Thats literally the exact thing that antis use against G idle fandoms-"Soyeon and friends"...My opinion is that G idle without Soyeon would be a pretty good group. So, I've never watched your videos before. I just wanted to watch other people's reactions to Queendom performances because I think everyone so far is doing great, and I wanted to see people share their first time experiences watching these amazing stages.
That being said, as someone who has been a Mamamoo, 2ne1 and AOA stan since literally the beginning, I think you show A LOT of bias to Mamamoo and kind of rank them slightly unfairly. I only say this because of course you know MMM's songs but as you said, you don't really know anything about AOA, who (other than Bom) is the senior group of this show. If you haven't watched Queendom, there are challenges every week. They had to essentially recreate another group's song (AOA did Egotistic and MMM chose Good Luck, an AOA song). I love MMM and they're one of my favorite groups and even though I liked that they created their own flair, I don't think they kept AOA's energy in mind. I would've loved to see them do something different and try a new concept as a group. As you said, Solar's part of Good Luck was "very Solar" and for the most part, I don't think they did anything that was challenging for them as a group. They still sound great, yes, but I don't think they pushed themselves to be new or to show another side of them. They all played into their own niche.
AOA, however, kept the integrity of Egotistic and changed their concept to be more mature/sophisticated and less sexy like they're usually known for/marketed. They changed up the song but still kept it recognizable. MMM's essence was still a part of AOA's performance and that's what I think was lacking with MMM's cover of Good Luck. All traces of AOA's color and style were completely wiped away where as I feel AOA integrated MMM's flair and even fashion into their performance. Obviously, it's a matter of opinion and you're totally entitled to yours, so please don't misunderstand me and think that I'm bashing you because I'm really not. Just trying to give insight. You just have to judge the performances as its own masterpiece and not try and compare them so heavily to the original.
Alsokeep in mind everyone's group dynamics too. AOA is becoming accustomed to being a 5 member group after not being on stage together as a 7 member group for quite a long time. They lost their most popular member, and after Choa left, a lot of people are upset. Choa was the face of the group and really boosted AOA's popularity. Plus, if you knew the significance of their Miniskirt performance, you'd understand why it was so iconic to watch on Queendom.
When they first started doing live performances of Miniskirt, many stations banned the original choreography because it was deemed too sexy and too scandalous. The song and video blew up and Miniskirt was essentially the reason AOA became so well known despite releasing songs prior to Miniskirt. Because of that, they were asked to do a lot of live shows, but because of their "sexy choreography bạn," they had to redo nearly the entire piece. Coming back to perform live for the first time as five members and to embrace and PERFORM the BANNED choreography for Miniskirt was probably the most bad ass and feminist statement I've seen in quite a while in the Kpop world. Not only that but they made it even sexier than the original. Please support AOA. They work extremely hard and are senior members who deserve just as much recognition.
Sorry for the long comment, btw. I just want to make people understand why AOA is so incredibly bad ass. Seohyun and Jimin have been through a lot as well, so please root for them. (:

As for what you said about Mamamoo, I can see where you're coming from- it WAS very "Mamamoo", which usually I would say is a good thin but since it was supposed to be a cover; a bigger influence of AOA (whatever that is bc idk) would have been nice. And considering I don't know much about AOA I can only judge based off the performance. And my opinion on Egotistic still stands, the first half was forgettable until the drag Queens came out. The mini skirt performance made the viewer want more and to see what they would do next. The other idols even commented on that aspect. The first half of Egotistic kinda left me saying "okay, is this it?" That's not shade and I'm not taking away from AOA's accomplishments or hardships, to me the performance just wasn't that good. I don't even want to get into the suits and LGBT argument bc I think I've already said enough about that in other comments. Glad you took the time to share your perspective bc it let's me see things from another light 👍🏾
I disagree vigorously on your Egotistic stance. It's supposed to be a cover, not an impersonation. MMM competed as MMM, not as AOA wannabes. If I wanted to listen to AOA style, I'd listen to AOA - there's noone who keeps more to AOA style than them. MMM's rendition of Good Luck was an amazing MMM song (just like the original was a great AOA song).
And while one can certainly empathise with the problems of losing members and a long hiatus, I don't want to give them a sympathy vote, and I doubt they would appreciate it if I did.

AmadanMath true!! A lot of people have been telling me to cut them some slack but I'm confused, isn't this a competition? They have to do their best regardless of anything going on behind the scenes. It's hard for stans to think outside of their own Fandom so I don't hold grudges. Again, I agree. Miniskirt performance left me wanting more, it was exciting. Egotistic was overhyped. 😪🤷🏽♀️
I guess since AOA has come back after a hiatus/ long break , any performance from them is different since people missed them. Mamamoo is so versatile that everyone has already seen so many different sides of them through their title tracks n bsides n performances.
The Egotistic rendition was good but I disagree that it was better than the original. For me the lyrics did not have the same impact in the pop version of the Egotistic rendition. I was hoping for a genre other than pop n latin.
Although mamamoo kept the adlibs of original in the last section they added two new raps ( one of them was Jimin’s diss rap in unpretty rapstar) and “you like me I like you” segment in their rendition. Apart from Jimin’s rap at the start I didnt feel any thing else was included musically and lyrically. (Dance and Drag queens were part of performance).
I am just stating my opinion and I dont hate AOA. Jimin has become my fav in AOA after watching queendom and AOA MMM interactions are so cute.
Let me just say, you don't always need to make a complete concept change to look better. Lovelyz did it and it didn't work out for them while in AOA's case it did.
I also find it weird how moomoos didn't hype the first stage because we thought it's regular mamamoo, but we were shooked by the second stage! Yet, non fans are calling this regular mamamoo. Like we get they're fantastic 😂, but that's not the level we get daily. This something we only see for special stages.
Soyeon have more stage experience then the other members. Ofcourse she is look dominant. As self producing group, soyeon always try to make other members show their best. You can check their preparation of this stage. It's just about time to make them a top tier group and conquer the world.

I wish you would watch the whole video before making a judgement. Also women support other women. The suits I feel like are one thing, but the dance break made a lot of people tear up. They were also included a lot more than in the original Mamamoo performance and without laughs from the members. I think that's where the bulk of emotion is coming from.
If you react to/ watch the Hann (Alone), Latata, or Senorita music videos by Gidle I think you will see more of the other girls and have a better understanding of the group compared to what you have seen so far. As for AoA -- they lost 2 members and this show is the first time they have performed as five, one of the members who left was the Main Vocal & one of the most popular as well-- If you wanted to see what they used to be like i'd recommend Good Luck ( the song that Mamamoo covered of theirs), Excuse Me, and Miniskirt or Heart Attack. Jimin ( the rapper you liked) was also on a show called Unpretty Rapstar where she has solo stages , I think the most well known song is "Puss".

Just to give an idea of what AOA is dealing with. It is the equivalent of losing Moonbyul and/or Solar in Mamamoo and then trying to go on a show with just two or three members. Everything is different and changes. That on top of them not performing for quite a long time and one of the members being an actress now. It is an extraordinary effort. PS, Soyeon is unbelievable and a once in a generation talent. She writes many of the songs for G-Idle and is a legit all rounder with a fantastic singing voice

And about Soyeon, I must have been working overwhelmed by her raps bc I don't remember hearing her vocals 😳 haha definitely going to check out some G-Idle now! I'm excited!

I agree with you that mamamoo Version is unique no one can do like them but the best performance in that episode was aoa because they changed the song and it became more like them not like mamamoo even hwasa said that after aoa performance

Gidle is a 6 person group. The leader is soyeon(the blond girl). Soyeon is well regarded in the kpop music world, especially with idols. Soyeon participated in two reality shows before this one of which was a rap elimination show. Soyeon produces literally all of gidles songs and choreography. Minnie the girl that was talking in a foreign language is Thai and she writes some of gidles songs too. She speaks three languages(Thai, Korean, and English). Miyeon is the unnie of the group and she used to be a trainee for YG and was supposed to be in blackpink till they pulled the plug on her. Yuqi is from China and she has a really deep voice and is a Maknae. she speaks three languages Chinese, English, and Korean.Shuhua is from tawain, speaks Chinese, and is a maknae. Soojin is just an icon and is my bias, she is Korean and has a very good voice, also a really god dancer. (G)I-dle are really popular for doing hip hop songs which is kinda really rare in kpop for girlgroups but they don’t give a fuck and we love that. They debuted in 2018 and have released three albums with some good ass songs. They are really popular for legit just there talent cause they don’t come from a big agency like YG, bighit, or jyp. All the contestants on the show are scared of gidle because they are so talented and write their own songs and just bring an unexpected aura and style everytime they walk on stage, and there the Maknaes on the show👏🏽👏🏽

(G)i-dle -while yuqi (my bias in i-dle) has one the most unique voices in kpop, and the others are decent singers (especially minnie), the group is for all intents and purposes the soyeon show (at least for now); she's the leader, the eldest, the most veteran/experienced of the girls, and she pretty much controls/directs everything about the stages/songs/etc... She is a whole entertainment industry on her own. the group is in their 2nd year and are considered monster rookies and got a high ceiling with a lot of the other members' skills still not explored or highlighted fully yet. Super excited about what the future holds for them and what they hold in store for us.
While AOA's first stage was breathtaking. I share your comments on the 2nd AOA; Jimin's parts where great, the drag queens was a strong message that commands respect and they almost stole the show imo, and the song overall was a nice refreshing remix except for a few parts I felt were a bit off (for me, it's usually in the transitions and around the pre-chorus).
It's just (perhaps the MMM bias in me, or being so used to the orig.) that I feel this stage of theirs lacked that extra thingy that would've possibly made this a groundbreaking, jaw-dropping performance I've come to expect from a senior group like them especially after the stage they did before (which might have set my expectations unreasonably high for this new debut as 5 of theirs). I'm sure they'll come up with something more impressive in the later rounds.
idle is more comfortable with soyeon (the blonde girl) being front and center bc she is confident. you should react to them since you don’t understand. get to know how they work since your confused. she is the leader and starts off their performances usually.

few points first i respect your opinion so on that lets agree to disagree(i won't go far into the fact that mmm fans attacked aoa for theres but hey yoou can't always see two sides of a coin), i like aoa's better bottom line, won't convice me else wise and yes i saw both.

second the facts. the unzipping was actually the origonal choreo but at the time it was seen as to racy the whole chore(at the time) had to change it was great that they went back to the origonal and i think it linked with what jimin said about how they had to practice so hard from scratch and it made them feel like rookies again. the suits was part of a statement aoa was making to quote seolhyun "At first, I was amazed and excited because people began to notice me… But since that, the public has wanted to see only that side of me. Just that and nothing else. It troubled me for a while. I began to question why I had to wear cropped tops all the time. I wanted to try other things too, you know? The cropped top Seolhyun is me too, yes… but I have so much more to me than just that." they chose it becuase they thought it was cool and wanted to show that side to the fans when they chose it the song jimin said she had a suit design they could wear, based on the reaction of both the audience and the other idols i would say it worked.that being said thank you for reacting to it i cant find many reactions to aoa's performances

Since I haven't seen a comment addressing this yet(might have just missed it), the "opening performance" for (G)I-dle that you watched wasn't a live stage like the rest. It was just a little trailer for their group being on the show. Their actual first performance was Latata, which you cut short. All 6 competitors have opening performances, you just missed Mamamoo's and AOA's. Soyeon, the leader, was rapping about how they're young and underestimated but they're bulldozers in kpop and will take the crown with skill or something like that. It is a bit odd that she was the only one who got to sing/rap, but she did a good job of introducing them and their mindset. Also, most of the other opening performances didn't have lyrics at all, just choreo.
Also, to clarify the structure of the show, there are three rounds of stages and then all 6 release a single on the same day and how they do on the charts is factored into the scoring. Round 1 was to transform one of their hit songs. Round 2 (for which we only have seen 3/6 competitors so far) is to cover one of the other competitor's songs: Mamamoo -> AOA's Good Luck and AOA -> Mamamoo's Egotistic. As to your comment about AOA not changing Egotistic, I think that a lot of the competitors lost points for not transforming their first performance enough, so making the cover your own is important. And, on a personal note, I think that a good cover requires transformation; otherwise it is just a copy or, more harshly, karaoke.

I do wish all the members got more screen time tho, this being my first time seeing them/ hearing their songs it did seem sort of Soyeon biased in a way? Idk. And I see your points on the covers. I just didn't like the Egotistic cover until the drag Queens came out, it seemed to drag on up until that point.
@@Favourreacts Yeah Soyeon does get a lot of screen time. I can't deny that. I found that once I got to know the group, it's more balanced than it first seems. She just has a way of really standing out. At least, that's how it seems to me. As a fan, I do hope they go far since I think they are really doing something different in this industry, but that's also what's holding them back. They are very popular internationally, but not so much in Korea (until Queendom that is).
Totally fair to not like the cover that much. I think that what a lot of people thought was so surprising is that AOA is known for their sexy concepts and Egotistic is arguably Mamamoo's sexiest concept, but instead of playing into that, AOA decided to pull a fast one and go with suits and a more classy electro production instead. Still if you don't like the cover, you don't like the cover

@@AmadanMath Well then, Egotistic is arguably their sexiest title track concept cuz you have me with Words Don't Come Easy. I don't think Decal is really that sexy. It's about letting go of social, personal, environmental restrictions and embracing what makes you happy. In the case of the music video, it's certainly implied to be sex, or at least love, but it's about the euphoria that comes with release. Sensual? Definitely. Sexy? I don't really think so.
What AOA did with Egotistic was amazing. It's not "better" than the original, it's just distinctly AOA and since I love both groups I can understand why people really enjoy it. Mamamoo's version is still my favorite but I just love our Radish Queens. I also feel you on that the parts they try to change up aren't hitting perfect but the rules of Queendom were that they HAD to change the song up to fit them. They couldn't do a full exact cover or they'd be DQ'd.
It would be lit if you watch Gidle's MV's and their b sides it shows more of the other girls strengths and well as a Neverland fan I think why they put out most of Soyeon is that because she tends to be charismatic af on stage and gets the crowd going hence some parts emphasized her a lot but as Soyeon said she doesn't make music just for her but for all the other members too you'll see more of stuff of the other ladies style on their mv's and b side, highly recommend, and also to the other GG's they too have a lot to show also recommend their stuff uwu

Miyeon is a former trainer from YG, she almost debuted with Blackpink. Minnie has a distinctive voice, her voice is very soft. Shuhua is a model from Taiwan, she has a beautiful face. Yuqi is a Chinese artist, she has a deep voice, but she has a very funny face. Sojin is a dancer, no wonder people like Sojin so much.

Yes. That's just the Moomoo in you. Being a multifan is hard because you can appreciate everything. Being a loyal fan to one group is stressing because one try to downgrade the other of their baseless and unfounded accusations. Making up something that didn't even exist can be very toxic. What I mean is, fans were probably just saying that it is better than the original out of awe, not to demean Mamamoo. (Buttt if there are actually people thrashing Mamamoo for it, those are just probably bandwagon.) Each group has their own theme or concept so their performances gravitate towards that. To call the first part of Mini Skirt boring is very wrong; it should be slow in tempo that way, kinda mesmerizing, to allure the fans into a sexy concept. In Egotistic, as I was saying, they added a 'sexy' flavor to it (in terms of vocals), making it 'plain' on other's standards as it is originally a very vocally powerful song. I think that the 'no hate', 'no shade' phrase is just a petty excuse to violently criticize AOA.
p.s. that Park Bom reaction from the beginning was very disrespectful. I will take into credit that you are a non fan, but to blackjacks and the rest of 2nd gen fans, that was very emotional...

I thought aoa did a great job we surprisingly don’t see too many covers/renditions of mamamoo compared to other popular groups so I was excited for this. Thinking back I was almost always left with a feeling that something was missing in those covers & I finally figured it out. Most of the time when we see covers they focus a lot on the choreo or just copying the original which usually works just fine but not with mmm songs. Mamamoo is all about energy & personality & just going thru the motions & singing the right notes doesn’t cut it. Plus their voices are so distinct it’s better to try to put your own energy & personality into it than to try to copy the original. In that sense this was by far one of the best if not the best mamamoo cover I’ve seen
I also didn’t agree with the opinion that this performance was groundbreaking I liked what they did with it & thought they did a great job & think it’s great that it sparked a conversation about lgbtq+ & male female dynamics. It was just the groundbreaking part I didnt agree with.
I also liked the story telling In jimins rap she says “I don’t want to be a flower that wilts. I’m the tree” women are often called pretty like a flower & flowers are delicate & dependent on trees for their survival. I saw a korean reaction to this perf & they mentioned it looked like the guys were handing over power/control to the girls when they passed the handkerchiefs & how they thought it was refreshing the traditional gender roles were reversed. They were doing pretty much what’d we’d normally see in co-ed performances but because the roles were switched it hit differently with the girls kind of just looking cool & suave while the guys strutted their stuff doing the more flashy stuff being the “flowers”
Being familiar with the original song can be both good & bad. While I know how iconic mini skirt was not everyone will so you can only judge on what you see & feel in that moment. For example gidles cover of fire. Fire is ICONIC & i can’t help but feel the girls would’ve been better off doing any other 2ne1 song. The girls put on a great performance but I couldn’t help thinking of 2ne1 the entire time it prevented me from fully immersing myself in their perf

2ne1 is a 2nd gen group. 1st gen would be late 90s to early 2000s. 2nd gen from late 2000s to early 2010s. While they debuted 2009(?) they only disbanded a few years ago so their music isn’t that old. But then again considering how popular 1st gen songs are still well known today in Korea the recency doesn’t matter too much

Edit: As a competition Queendom is a joke. Everyone is using pre-recorded vocals, including Mamamoo, so it's more like a popularity contest but the performances have been fun to watch. Some groups seem to be mostly lip syncing while MMM is mostly singing live over a pre-recorded vocal track but that's a meaningless distinction as far as the competition goes.
Mamamoo performed Decalcomanie the day after two consecutive days of 4+ hour 4 Seasons F/W concerts and I thought it showed, though not enough that non-moomoos would probably notice. They always bring it regardless of their health and tiredness but it seemed like Hwasa was pushing through vocal strain, Solar had to hold back a bit when she belted, and Wheein looked ready to drop.
For Good Luck each of the members took elements from their solo work, esp their solo stages for the 4 Seasons S/S & F/W concerts. Hwasa used the reggae feel at the end of Don't for her verse and matched it with a Queen of the Pirates of the Caribbean look. lol. I thought she was doing a stylish take on sailor pants + pirate head scarf and that it was clever & funny and her performance had a take no prisoners, walk the plank ferocity. I wouldn't call her head scarf a durag, tho some people do and have posted yt videos to give her shit about it.
Park Bom looked nervous and uncomfortable. She doesn't belong on a bogus competition show.
AOA's voices are softer and thinner than Mamamoo's so I don't know how anyone could say their version is better but I enjoyed their cover, esp their dancers.
(G)-Idle is a group and everyone pronounces their name as Idol. I agree that Latata came across as a solo with backup singers and dancers but it was still an impressive performance.

As someone who didn't know about the fans war until I read the comment section, I was very frustrated during the whole video. I was just watching a reaction but every 10 seconds you were stopping it "it's not better", "people are saying it's amazing but it's not that good", "MAMAMOO already did the concept"... What is going on? Should the video be titled "MAMAMOO stan shit on others performance"?

The funny thing is that I'm not even a AOA fan, I'm not a fan of anyone on that show except maybe MAMAMOO, but I was still frustrated by this reaction. It wasn't a reaction to AOA, it was a reaction to the "reason for the fan war". From the beginning, you weren't watching the performance, you were judging if it was indeed better than MAMAMOO's one.
It's a shame, because I loved it, and there was a real difference between their 1st & 2nd performance, MAMAMOO did amazing, but I didn't really saw a challenge from them between the 1st stage and the 2nd.
And right now, Korea loves MAMAMOO a lot more than AOA (except maybe Seolhyun because she's a very popular model/actress, it's the one you were saying she is gorgeous), so it's not a popularity bias. People were just enjoying the stage, done by a group that challenged themselves.

What a lot of people seem to be missing to say is that Choa wasn't just the most popular member before leaving AOA she was their freaking main vocal. Most groups outside of MMM don't have everyone being able to belt for their life so losing your main vocal is absolutely massive. Even worse in AOA's case since she was also the most popular member. And yea like you said the black haired girl is gorgeous and was/still is known as the CF queen/main visual of Kpop. Like she was everywhere and everyone knew about her beauty. There is a video where she is posing next to her cut out cardboard version of herself taken from a commercial and she looks exactly the same. Like no Photoshop or anything required, absolutely nuts.
I quite agree that you quickly judge other performances, but hey it's the first reaction videos so bc MMM is your bias you will automatically praised them, not gonna lie bc I did too when watched Queendom. It is a bit pointless to opponate these two groups considering the fact that Kim Do Hoon, the CEO and producer/songwriter of Mamamoo, is also the one who made AOA's debut song "Elvis" (2012, before mamamoo) and several of their hit songs including their last comeback "come see me", after queendom. These groups are very different and stand in different concepts and styles but their musics are closer than we may first think.

Pd: I'm a hardcore moomoo but soyeon is in her way of becoming one of the queens of rap of 3rd gen. Soyeon, moonbyul, yeeun (clc) and LE (EXID, they debuted on 2012 so I don't know if they 2nd or 3rd gen, or maybe in between 🤔)
Also soyeon is kind of the soul of g-idle, she writes and produces most of their song. And something tha happen is that she has a natural charisma that sometimes overshadow the others

Bluewater Veei Moonbyul kills me everytime. And exactly, idk why Aoa fans are mad? The Egotistic performance didn't "pick up" until the drag Queens came out, like idk how they can argue this. The first performance with the mini skirts was amazing, bc it kept you wanting more/ to see what they would do next. The first part of Egotistic on the other hand, was just karaoke.
