Hey guys , so I’ve been seeing a lot of comments about Jessica and I know it can be a sore subject so maybe I should have left it out of the video but I want you guys to know that if it came across that I was picking sides I’m definitely not if anything like I said in the video everyone has the right to speak they’re truth and I’m more so curious about the whole thing because I watched a video that didn’t have the best things to say about her so I wanted to know if that stuff was true or not 🤍 anyways I hope you guys are having a amazing day 🤍 love y’all ✨
The theory I give the most credence to is this one: ua-cam.com/video/8h2iwQEQ_IA/v-deo.html While the channel name (Golden Star) would indicate a definite bias, s/he doesn't run away with it. It follows my thinking, that *when a corporation or corporate entity does something utterly inexplicable, the reason why boils down to "money".* That the "insufficient devotion to the group" Jessica was accused of was monetary in nature. What was that money? Projected profits from Jessica's proposed business venture. Who would want a cut? The individual management of the other members (aka family of the member in most cases) if not the other members themselves. My theory is, Jessica told them the deal was already sealed (with LSM) and that they could go pound sand. That prompted the vote to remove her, rather than letting the planned gradual exit run its course.
@@xheralt its most likely to with being approved for a self owned small company and then, bring blindsided by TK not just helping her out to create it but actually owning it... You see, TK is co owner of all her companies and there were rumours of him getting 40 M USD on chinese investors which seems too risky and damaging as they were most likely were marketed under SNSD brand and not Jess Jung... It was weird because she was only starting with her glasses and normally you would see a grand opening but her august launch was basically rushed.. No party, no launching event so im guessing she was getting push back and tried forcing their hands... Then there was a meeting and she got an ultimatum, she refused and proceeded to block them and her teammates so they bench her (even her book states this last part).. Im guessing that they were just trying to show her that they were not joking but she went on her weibo attack, the girls got a literal black ocean made by their fans so everything broke beyond repair and tge company decided they just wanted her gone... Tbh the profit tgey could get from blanc is a dot on SM so the narrative of her giving them a share and sm being fine with it doesnt make sense... And honestly, her investor would not agree.
regarding jessica's departure I suggest to not trust the internet, none of us outsiders really know what's going on. even jessica's book is not that reliable as it is a novel, not an auto-biography.
With that book, I think she delayed or possibly outright killed any chance of setting the old issues aside long enough for an anniversary OT9 reunion. Definitely not the 15-year, in progress now, we'll have to wait until the 20 to see.

SUNNY was actually supposed to debut with another group in another company and trained there for about 5 years but the company went bankrupt, and then a senior singer Ayumi recommend sunny to auditioned in SM and they had no idea she was the niece of SM's founder. Only a year or two they found out in a radio show where she stated everything, and sunny said the other members didn't really have much reaction after sunny told them. Sunny was the last one to join the Girls Generation lineup
Yes, nobody know she is LSM niece, until the day everyone know it. Until today Sunny don't like people see her only as LSM niece bcs she enter SM like other trainee and do a hard work to debut like other member.
Some anwers to the questions you had as the video went:
Taeyeon does speak English. Not on the level comparable to Tiffany and Jessica of course but she understands it well and can communicate on a decent level. She has shared a living space with Tiffany even before debuting in a group and it definitely shows, especially when it comes to swearing.
There never seemed to be a problem with Sunny's relation to LSM. She was a last minute addition to the group as she trained at a different company before. Her being his niece was never mentioned early in SNSD's career and it's only much later that they began to make jokes about it. She has a very cool, supportive and laid-back personality and was never hungry for attention, so it never looked like she was getting advantage out of her family connections. To this day she's the only member of the group who has not debuted solo, despite being a part of their vocal line. She was always great at variety shows and that's where she's most active to this day.
SM is a very controlling type of company. 3 members that left craved freedom. They wanted to write their music, try things in other areas and not be denied opportunities. As an SNSD member Seohyun for example was denied a role in a movie that proved to be one of Korea's biggest hits in years. The producers wanted her for the role but SM decided it did not fit her innocent image. Since then she played roles of a scammer, a lesbian, a dominatrix etc. There's no way she'd get to try it under SM.
Three members did leave SM on good terms once their contracts were over. 2 of them signed with companies that pledged to support their activities with the group, Tiffany has only signed in US, so she's free to do whatever in SK. They specifically planned for SNSD comeback to be possible.
You seemed to be taken aback by how harsh Hyo's humor was in particular. It can come off as shocking at first but SNSD is just that kind of group and that's one of the reasons they are so loved: they have no filter. They are merciless with each other in the way only good friends can be. Hyo joked about the maknaes thinking they are pretty but she's also Seohyun's (the maknae) closest friend in the group and dotes on her like no other. It's all in good humour and they are confident the other side will take the joke as a good sport. It's how SNSD work.
SNSD have a bunch of movie/drama actresses. Out of them Yoona is probably most famous. She had a successful drama role before SNSD blew up as a group, so for a while general public only knew her face (they did know Taeyeon by the voice though as she had a couple of major OST hits very early as well). By now Yoona, Sooyoung, Seohyun, Yuri have successful acting careers with multiple lead roles in dramas and movies. Tiffany will be debuting in a drama very soon, Jessica was in one a long time ago, Taeyeon had some cameos. Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany and Seohyun had musicals and Yuri had a theater play.
SNSD's vocal line were: Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Seohyun and Sunny. TY and Jess were considered mains. But it's true that group's lead vocalists would easily be mains in any other kpop group and even weakest singers in the group are solid enough to be having solo careers now.
A lot of SNSD members are pretty and are recognized for it but Yoona's position is special. She's the reason a "center" position is even a thing in K-pop. She's an IT girl that is still holding her ground among 3rd and 4th generation idols. It's something I did not understand when I first got into K-Pop, to be honest. I see it now and it's not just about the physical looks alone.
There are popular groups and popular members within these groups but then there are AAA stars that dominate the industry no matter how big or small the group they come from is. Most groups would kill to have a member like that. Most don't have one. SNSD got insanely lucky to have 2 (Yoona and Taeyeon). But then as a group SNSD got so big too, there is literally not a single member who is unknown by the public.

rather than her dramas, i suggest you watch YoonA’s movies; EXIT, Miracle, etc. Her dramas are also great. I suggest you watch Hush for her dramas 😁 it highlights her acting so well
SUNNY actually auditioned at SM without the knowledge of her uncle Lee Soo Man (SM founder) she never mentioned her relationship with him and the girls(SNSD) just knew about it about a year or two after their debut and they were actually really cool with it.
YoonA is an A-LIST Actress in Korea with COUNTLESS of AWARDS in her belt. She's one of the most respected Woman both in Acting and Idol Industry.
She's the reason why Center existed and her face is the reason why there's a KOREAN BEAUTY STANDARD.
Obviously Yoongie is an A-Lister. She's a queen 💖💖💖
Yoona is an A LIST actress in South korea,you need to watch her dramas and movies,i'd recommend "K2" which is a legendary kdrama
I feel like though unfortunately, it's one of Yoona's weakest roles. Not the actress's fault of course I heard that the writers changed a lot about the character, but her character ended up being very bland which I don't think showcased Yoona's acting enough compared to other roles.

Actually, Lee Soo Man doesn't know that Sunny audition to become to SM and her members doesn't know that she's the SM founder niece too. Sunny only told her members about her being the niece of her boss when they already debuted so it was all because of her hardwork and her skills that made her to become part of the group.
Actually she was auditioned in sm without mentioning that she was the sm founder’s niece. Lee soo man met sunny when he’s preparing the 12 girls that the teachers accepted. It’s somewhere here in youtube. Snsd are 12 until 3 of them chose to have a solo career and be an actress. Then they debuted as 9 and after 2 years sunny was introduced to be lee soo man’s niece. Don’t worry she’s talented, she meant to be a main vocalists in her old group that’s why she deserves to be a lead vocal without favoritism. You can examine too their vocals if some people are still doubting it.

There is a reason why SNSD is mooted as the greatest girl group to ever appear in the history kpop because their ability to come up with bangers again and again even after all these years is uncannily consistent. Their diversity across just their title tracks alone is astounding. Studio Choom wasn't really a thing when they were still doing group activities
about Jessica getting 'kicked out', nobody really knows what happened since it's always been Jessica who says something. We never heard another side of the story (except those that were mentioned by korean fans before - you can check it in twitter/online. it's about how their activities are negatively affected because Jessica wants to get married and is busy with her business). I think SM banned the rest of the girls from mentioning Jessica, though some members have lowkey mentioned how they treasure Jessica as a member/sister.
From someone who was their fan even before 2014 happened though, i think it's unfair for Jessica to make this book, label it as 'fiction', but include similarities with her actual idol life. I kinda get why korean sones didn't support her after. Don't get me wrong, I love all 9 members, but it's upsetting what she did. If she really treasures her relationship with the other 8 members, why ruin their image through her book? There were countless times that Girls' Generation saved her a**. Like that one time when she got drunk in Hongkong. People think it was Taeyeon and Yoona, but it was Jessica and her friend. Taeyeon and Yoona never talked about it. :))) It's been years. I hope she stops bringing it up because it just opens bad memories.

Regarding Jessica’s departure, it just confuses me and I think many other sones a lot. When she left the group in 2014, they have been together for around 7 years. Back then there were a lot of videos showing their close relationship. People shipped Jessica with literally every member in the group. As a SONE, I believe they treated each other like sisters. I mean come on, it’s more than 7 years working together and going through all kinds of hardship (including their so-called “Black Ocean” scandal that you can look for information, it was huge back then when they just debuted) so I always doubt it when people say she was fake. Until 2014 (the year that she left) during their promotion of “Mr. Mr.”, there were still fancams showing her moments with other members. Shen even sat next to Taeyeon during a fansign and they laughed with each other (it was a random fancam so I don’t think they had to “fake” it). For me, they looked happy together as always.
Another popular opinion regarding her departure was that she was meant to leave the group in peace after their concert in Tokyo Dome (since the girls’ dream is to perform at Tokyo Dome, which is a huge achievement for any k-pop group). The song and MV for “Indestructible” was thought to be the goodbye song between her and the members (and tbh, the lyrics of the song really suits the context of her leaving the group). So I think SM had planned for her to leave in peace but then something happened which I don’t really know and the result was that she left the group before their Tokyo Dome concert.
Since Jessica left, SNSD only perform the ballad version of their debut song “Into The New World” (which is a cheerful, upbeat song). During their Tokyo Dome concert (after Jessica’s Departure), they even left a spot in the middle for her when they perform the ballad version of Into The New World and all members was crying (you can check out this performance, but I think you should save it for later when you have familiarised yourself with the group). Jessica herself also answered in an interview after leaving the group that SNSD is a part that she can never erase. So I think the company had something to do with her departure, not the members themselves. Unlike western groups like Little Mix or Fifth Harmony, k-pop groups are more restricted by their company so when people say she was kicked out by the members, I don’t buy that. There is just no way a member can decide that. Even their songs, their concepts, the comeback date, commercials, individual activites are restricted by SM, so I don’t really think SM will let the members decide a scandalous thing like Jessica’s departure.
But yeah, her second novel which was published this year confused a lot of sones where she depicted herself as being forced to leave the group by the members. After the day she left, SNSD performed in Shanghai(?) (there are videos on UA-cam) and Seohyun cried during their performance. So if she had good relationship with some members, if not all. Then after she left, there must be a separation between them. One scenario I can think of is Seohyun and Sunny will not be close with other members anymore. But in fact, they are still very close with each other after 15 years. And if every member hated her (which I don’t believe) then the problem should be on her side. But come on, it doesn’t make sense at all. Just imagine you are in a group of 9 people and go through a lot of things for more than 7 years then suddenly all of the 8 members hate you and kick you out. It just doesn’t make sense to me. It will make more sense if there is 1 or 2 members hate her but again, if the other 6 people still like her then after her departure those 6 people will not be close with the 2 people who hated her. But nowadays all of the members still support each others like sisters.

I skim through some comments and videos about the whole Jessica - SNSD thing. Not a SONE myself but I like checking up on many groups.
I 100% agree with your comment on the members not being the ones to boot out Jessica. Really doesn’t make sense in general; trained together, saw many trainees get cut, finally debuted, and had a good run before departure. So it’s a bit of a stretch to say that the members voted her out.
Most recent I’ve seen Jessica mention the group was last year during a fan meet Q&A. IIRC She didn’t mention them by name but did talk about being in a girl group that started her career. Didn’t sound bitter of anything, just more “I began with them and it was fun.”
Obviously, we’ll never know the full true story of what happened. At least I don’t think so.
I'm totally 100% agree with your last point. I mean, it's a nonsense if all the 8 members hate her. And if there is 1 or 2 member that kick Jessica out. Then there will be a clash inside the group. The one who want to kick Jessica, and the one who support Jessica. But all 8 members still in a good relationship. That's why it's a nonsense for me. Also there is another thing that make this more confusing. But it will take a lot of paragraph.
My take on it is that the 9 of them are in good terms with each other, but Jessica didn't leave with good terms with SM itself because of her business. You can clearly see they were having the time of their lives back in 2014, when it all happened. A lot were going on, basically all of them were planning stuff at the same time they were promoting as SNSD. A lot of them were already having a very busy schedule with acting, the TTS comeback was around the corner, Sunny was working with musicals and the radio, and Jessica was starting her work with the brand.
I believe that all 8 of them supports Jessica but, because they still have plans regarding SNSD in the future, they still want to make music as SNSD, they probably cannot risk it all by talking about her directly. There are a lot of evidences that they are still in touch. Sunny keeps talking about SNSD being 9 till this day, there are a lot of evidences of Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, Tiffany and Yoona meeting up with her, Tiffany even played Jessica's song during a break on her concert, while she was changing clothes lol. They probably just can't talk about her directly because of SM, and they still want to promote as SNSD.
And, I mean, Jessica always talks kindly about her time as SNSD, and I still don't understand how some people are taking some quotes out of her book and describing it as an autobiography, even tho she described it as being her take of the KPOP world in general, and we all know a lot of things happens there, behind the scenes lol.
So yeah, I hope we can see them perform as nine again, I would pay anything to watch TaengSic blending vocals again
Its really simple. Its 8 vs 1. How can you fans square the fact that she wrote "fictionally" that 1 drugged her, that the others were mean to her stealing her spotlight etc? The group looked healed after she was gone and they are closer than ever. No more mentions of their fights, of disagreements only support for all 8. The actions of Korean Sones tell alot, they are all ot8.
Fun fact: Taeyeon also debuted in a musical, "A Song to the Sun" and Tiffany also debuted in a musical, "Fame"...also Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun all graduated college. Also, no one and I mean NO ONE...really knows why Jessica left.
Jessica was my bias in snsd but after knowing all the drama of her departure and she knows how that hurt SONES In general and knows everything she writes will be seen as a fact and non as a something fictional makes me feel sad and side eye her. She exactly knew what would happen to SONES and non fans and she still wrote that thing hurting SONES once again. It's something really in the past but from time to time she always bring it back and it's hurtful. The only way she's being talked lately is still the Same drama of 5 years ago

Im sorry but while she did not outed anyone, she did alluded to literal crimes like bullying a 14 year old, destroying her property, stealing a sub unit song, being phisically harmed, being drugged, threaten with harming her or K after leaving DB (doesnt make sense bcos if someone kicks you out inst that the main goal?) and members being involved in bribes and sleeping to get in the group with a higher up, which again seems fishy because firts, tgey were all underage and conviniently this is being targeted to the member whose relationship is accepted and blessed by everyone so its makes you think if is not a narc just being spiteful bcos her "person" as she called him is rejected and hated while another member relationship is celebrated... Tbh, as an adult we all have to accept that most of tge issues were related to Tyler so my guess is she feels betrayed and lashes out but on tge other hand, i wouldnt risk my career, college education nor my rep just because one of my sisters wants to include her bf in the cake repartition (all other SM idols with companies/ cafes owned them but TK was getting investors fir millions of USD and getting to co owned her bussiness which relies on her brand as a SNSD member until today )

@@ashleycrespo SM has done it to some others too. They have a BG called TVXQ and when some of the members left that group and formed the group JYJ, JYJ was banned from Music Shows too. SM has a lot of power.

Look up the "Jessica & Krystal" reality series for a look beyond the "ice princess" label they share. Both Jessica and her younger sister Krystal (of f[x]) were done dirty by SM. I've generally been in her corner, but I think she destroyed her chances of ever reuniting with the group (even for like the 20th anniversary) with the overly fictionalized events depicted in her 2nd book.
Soshi is just another name for snsd. Their Korean name is SoNyeo ShiDae which shortened to SNSD or Soshi. In my country, when I was a kid and they were active most people, including me, called them girls gen
If you want to see them as 9 with vocally centered songs, I'd go for "The Boys" and "Mr. Mr"
In earlier songs, Into the New World and Girls Generation (The song) are good showcasing Taeyeon and Jessica being the Main Vocalist that they are.
Regarding Jessica's book, we can really not tell what's true and what's not. But let's remember that the book is fictional and not an autobiography.
In regard to her departure, let's not believe what the internet says because most of it came from the circulating rumors. It is still a MYSTERY to this day. But I have faith that the members were never involved in the decision-making of Jessica being kicked out of the group...
Ofc no member will refute her book mentioning a member drugged her. jessica is vile like that. Hiding behind a fictional book, encouraging her minions to hunt for easter eggs and then harass in real life the other 8 for her supposed fiction. Have you defended Sooyoung's ig acct for the hate comments she got after this book was released? But here you are still defending the only person bringing hate towards the group you claim to like lol
Honestly I'd not focus on the drama, it's in the past and they're all successful now and living their best lives. We will never know a true 100% unbiased answer anyway so there's no point of questioning it as we love them all equally whether they are or were a part of Girls Generation.

SNSD became the elite of SM and as a girl group, together with KARA lead the "Korean Wave", still today are like royalty in the industry.
Jessica's book: During one of the TV shows they did, they made some laughs about writting a book explaining all the juicy stuff when they would quit the idol job, it turned the one who ended was Jessica, so she did. Rumors say she had an argument with Taeyeon and that was the reason to point the door out for her, but the official statement is she wasn't focused enough with the group but with their own businesses.

About the “Taeyeon Oppa” part since you seemed confused and I haven’t seen anyone comment on it yet: I remember this happening during the early days of Taeyeon’s solo career, some of her fans wanted to refer to her with male honorifics. One of the nicknames fans tried to give her was “oppa” but Taeyeon didn’t like that. Fans then suggested “King Taeyeon” and she immediately agreed to that one, and it’s one of her favorites. It’s also a play on her surname “KIM Taeyeon = KING Taeyeon” and it’s more noticeable in Hangul when spelled out. If you were wondering why sometimes ppl refer to her as KING this is why!
All the members are supportive of the LGBTQIA+ community (ex: Tiffany writing a love letter to them, drag queens featured in some MVs, Seohyun portraying a lesbian in her drama, Taeyeon saying how SNSD can be the ideal types for boys and girls, etc). They don’t mind crossdressing and some have done that in a couple of their concert VCRs. The video for the “Taeyeon Oppa” part was from her 2016 Butterfly Kiss concert where she sang a cover of Uptown Funk!
Whatever the drama it is, (you know Nobody's perfect) but it doesn't change the fact that they all became successful women and they wre the first one who raise the flag for kpop girlgroups. They turned the tables that not only men can be on top, but also WOMEN. They built the GIRLS GENERATION 💕

yes girl! finally! this group is super special and they paved the way for the girl groups are today. they have the talent, the looks, and personalities! amazing group! I'm excited for their comeback this year! as for the members not apart of SM. when leaving SM they all left on good terms and made it clear that they will be back to work with SM on group activities. their current company knows of this when signing them to their label. it's works. hahaha

It is actually pretty easy to understand, I don't know why you had a hard time getting it (I meant that with no offense). Think of it this way, say for example SM is a school and school clubs are the groups, and SNSD are the cheerleading team. Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun are members of the school's cheerleading team and it says so as well in their school records (contracts), but then they had to transfer to another school to maybe improve in other areas of their skills or provide expertise to that new school that they've learned from their previous school, but when they go back to visit their previous school during special events or occasions they're still acknowledged as a member of the cheerleading team due to their contributions to the team and the school. In Jessica's case, think of her as a student who was expelled from both the school and the team.
That's the best way and easy way I can put it. If there's anyone other who can explain it more clearly please do so.

First of all, about the drama. All of us still didn't know all the truth to these day, It's just from Jessica side. And we can't take a conclusion only with one side. And I'm pretty sure all sides (SM, 8 members and Jessica) has their own fault. I think it's not that simple like what Jessica wrote in her book. We are not talking about school project, but we are talking about a GROUP that reach their PEAK at that time. Kicking someone (who is their MAIN VOCALIST and ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS members) will make SM lose a huge amount of money and damaged SNSD popularity (Because their selling point is not only from their songs, but also their bond each other). And there is another thing that I can mention, but it will be so long. This is why I though it's not as simple as what Jessica wrote in her book. So, because we didn't know all the truth, please keep support all the NINE girls, and send a love to them.
Also, it's been 8 years since that thing happen. And even Jessica side is true, I mean, we are all a human. We did mistakes. Watching their reality show (after Jessica departure) and "Sailing 0805" MV, I kinda feel that all the girls already move on and accept their own fault and forgive their self. the group is filled with a lot of pranksters and just generally very savage ppl so all the roasts and all jokes are all in good fun. they've been together for 16+ years so they basically consider each other sisters LOL. the jessica thing is very unclear, we've only heard her side, when she posted on weibo that she's unfortunately getting kicked out from the group. it's a general consensus among fans that jessica wanted to open up blanc and eclaire but it conflicted with the group's schedules, i think she was planning on leaving or at least focusing on it, but at the time they were preparing for their tokyo dome performance which is a huge deal for korean singers, it's like a milestone. she wanted to stay until after the tour but the other girls had issues and ended up making the decision to give her an ultimatum. friendships drift apart, they're both pursuing their own careers so it's rlly no big deal, jessica's book threw some shade LOL but again it's just rlly petty stuff. also snsd was the group to invent photo cards among kpop groups, and they basically birthed the concept of a "Center" of the group. yoona is the center and has been since debut, basically the face and visual, she has the most brand deals and commercials as well.

As far as the whole Jessica departure issue goes... no one outside of the members and SM really knows what happened and I don't think we ever will. She claims she was "kicked out" SM claims she "chose her brand over the group" and the truth is probably somewhere in between.

I think u can check out fx, krystal is a member of fx. Fx is sm girl group after snsd. Their music is really good. Krystal was in SM till 2021. She has good relationships with SM. Jessica and Krystal are favorite girls of SM CEO. They were auditioned at really young age. Jessica had pretty long period of training. You should read the whole book and just remind yourself that's just fiction. Everyone just focuses on the ending but there are beautiful memories there as well. We all know even us can have fights or argument with others, even with our own family. However, if the relationships are related to business, that's a complicated issue 'cause it doesn't involve just them. It has something to do with the company and other stuffs too. Somehow things turn out that way. However they all move on now and I do support 9 of these girls. Just enjoy the book and remind yourself that's fiction.

Honestly, as a SONE I was very shocked and sad, back in 2014 when Jessica left the group, and because no one really knows what actually happened, I have decided to just support them all. However, I am not gonna lie that I am a little disappointed about what happened to the fiction situation.
