She is not privileged. She earned everything she has with hard work, education and ambition. If she donates money to blm she is giving money away to an organizations that hates everything she is. BLM is a front for a socialist, Marxist organization and should be designated as a terrorist organization.

    • @gr61996

Scott Tullis It’s clear that Monica works hard, but you can still have innate privilege. One component, among many, of the BLM movement is to bring to light that POC have not had the generationally accruing privilege that white people have. People can work hard and be really deserving of what they have, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t privileged.

    • @Trish....

@@gr61996 So, white privilege is something we're born with? Well, what do you think that says to black ppl? It says they're born lacking compared to whites - that we have an advantage over them, which is defeatism at its worst! If our 'ancestry', ie "generational..." determines our privilege, what other inferiorities is a black person born with? It's so racist to think this way, & then assign responsibility for your thinking to everyone! Society is what you define it as, & in 2020 EVERYONE can word hard, & some have to work harder, for all kinds of reasons, but socioeconomic status does not define ppl, nor should it divide ppl - only rhetoric tied to the defeatism agenda of the far left, & that's been perpetuated dating back to the Civil War, when Dems fought to keep their slaves, & black men formed the Republican party specifically to fight Democrats' slavery in the War! That should've ended racism, but it didn't. Dems came up w/Jim Crow laws, the KKK, segregation, welfare, w/held the right to vote, built projects to serve as new "generational" 'plantations' of govt funded poverty that excluded fathers living w/their families, & so much more! When black ppl finally started working & had record unemployment, new businesses, & investments coming into black communities - all that stalled bc of the pandemic, & BLM came in & exploited it, & helped destroy EVERY major Dem-run city, incl all those new black owned businesses existing ones. Now, they're gone forever bc these mayors failed to protect them, likely bc they were bankrolled by George Soros, who bank rolls BLM. The left in the party doesn't want black prosperity - won't have it - & have blown through BILLIONS that were supposed to be invested in black communities. You want to support black ppl? Go volunteer to help rebuild these cities, END BLM bc the leadership is paid for by Soros, who hates black ppl & America, & has hijacked the Dem party! Fight to END black on black crime, which is the #1 killer of young black men! Don't just send a check - volunteer! And, once you see how BLM treats anyone trying to fix the destruction, you'll see how much they care about black lives bc they'll likely berate you & stop you!
Our skin color has NOTHING to do w/hard work, & if you've never been hateful or discriminatory, why do YOU feel guilty? Other human beings who only see color own that! NOT you, unless you see ppl as being of color or not! We're all ppl, & 100s of 1000s of white & black lives fought for that distinction. Honor that by adhering to the words if Martin Luther King, Jr: "...judge a man by his character, & not by the color of his skin!" When you assign privilege, you're judging race!

I spent ~7k on getting my teeth fixed. I had severe crowding, impacted wisdom teeth, and my gums were severely inflamed. It was worth every penny and ounce of pain and discomfort. I don't feel bad about it. I grew up without access to dental care. The first time I went to the dentist I was 22 (which is still far better than many people around the world). I worked hard to save up to do it and I'm so happy I did. Be happy with what you can do for yourself and don't let others get you down :)

14 years ago (Im probably too old to be here) I spent $10000 on maxillofacial surgery following 3 years of braces, all in my early 20s. It was a great thing to spend money on and totally agree that it's each to their own and don't let others (who might have great teeth naturally) tell you what to spend on.

That is awesome and so needed. Peop.e do not realize that dental care is not vanity, it is a necessity. Dental health can affect your heart and many other organs can be affected which can go to your brain. I have had to had tons of dental work due to severe headaches and migraines. I was at my local grocery store last year and they had a sign remembering one of it's employees who had just past away. I was so sad because Max was an amazing employee and so nice. I asked the manager what happened and he told me he had dental problems that the infection went to his brain and he died. I had talked to Max a month before. I had just come from the dentist and was in extreme pain. He said to me I need to go to the dentist. That was the last time I talked to him. So sad.

It’s not even getting work done. I’m male, 28 and thin and I started working out last winter and when people somehow get wind I’m going to the gym or when I turned down sweets or alcohol, I got a lot of “you look fine, you don’t need to work out”, they just assume it’s about vanity. It pissed me off so much, yeah of course I want to look good but also I have back issues and weight help with that, it helps my mental health and it was a savoir during the pandemic (a neighbour is a PT and I was able to work with them under local rules). It pisses me of fitness is assumed it be only about vanity.

      @samcshaffer 4 роки тому +4

@@MrsMuffin11 I don't know what challenges she has faced in life, so I was just thinking of examples to get my point across. Yes everyone has their own set of privileges and the point I was trying to make is there is nothing wrong with having privilege. I respect that she understands that other's don't have the same things she does and wants to make a difference. Teachers are vital for our society and education is a fundamental necessity for better humanity, and she is using her success and her platform to point out that education is underfunded and she is personally sacrificing her hard earned money to help make a difference. Teachers are some of the hardest working people in the world are horribly underpaid. They use their own money for their classroom supplies and Monica chose help one out. That's really the only point I'm making here. There is nothing inherently wrong with having privilege and no one should be shamed for it, but we can use the privilege we have to better society.

All over your face, your ears, your neck and your chest. And the backs of your hands. When I was your age, I was getting a very close to melanoma spot removed from my right scapula. Good for you girl. I dropped $5k on Invisalign just before quarantine and it’s over if few large purchases that I’ll never regret. I’ve received a lot of backlash as well, but totally agree with you... can’t put a price on confidence and happiness. I’ve also had just as many people who want to correct their smile when they see how big of difference it has already made even 1/3 of the way thru the process.

I rarely if ever comment on any UA-cam video I watch. I’ve followed your for at least a year and I must say, I loved every part of this video. You’ve reenforced why I resonate with you and follow you. You’re learning and growing and being authentic in what you’re sharing. Thank you for this. Also? Your teeth look great! I broke my two front teeth as a kid and lived with chipped teeth for literally over 8 years. I had them bonded at one point when I was 14/15 and they were NOT done well. I lived with THAT for another almost 8 years. When I finally fixed them? It changed my entire confidence and life.

It has nothing to do with "buying stuff", but, for what it's worth, you---and your sister---are very, very likeable people,...not to mention level headed and articulate. If everybody in this country were like you and Shelby, we wouldn't have most of the problems that we have. That's it. Stay safe. Cheers.

Good for you on getting veneers, and for sharing that info. No one else gets to decide how you spend your money, and they will last longer and give you more happiness than a designer bag. I'm looking forward to the video about the whole process. I've been thinking about veneers my whole life. I'm now a senior citizen, and I still think about them!!

I hate how people that make good money are always like “I know it’s not fair that I make this” or like they have to apologize for making good money But you worked hard for that and it’s really no ones business what you spend your money on If you want a jacuzzi get one or being hated on for cosmetic procedures Life’s too short to care about other people’s opinions I’m so happy that you are successful and are able to have everything you need It just motivates me to do the same! Love how humble you are tho 💖💖💖 Ly Monica!

Hey Monica, so part of the reason why air stream is so popular right now is because of covid. My dad works for Hiker Trailer which makes camping trailers and he said in general the RV/trailer industry is up 160%. His company also had a huge month for orders this summer. A big part of why is because people feel a lot safer doing those kind of trips / travel rather than traditional vacations! Pretty interesting. Great video as usual!

I love designer things and fancy clothes but I think we should focus on what really makes us happy 💜 I have trouble with healthcare and have an autoimmune disease, but I get to live at home while I job search and my parents pay for my food and allowance monthly, which is more than I could expect from them.

I understand how it can be difficult to come up with content right now. Morgan Yates recently touched on this in her vlog channel, but a lot of content creators get ideas and inspiration from travel, which obviously isn’t an option right now. And with all the hate and problems with the world right now, it can be very uninspiring and upsetting. Still, I’ve been loving your videos, so just keep them up!

Ha, finally sanity is kicking in! Good for you spending your money on your appearance, it will last you a lifetime. And even better, not spending your money on insane purchases like Louis Vuiton bags or something simular, but instead helping teachers with money for supplies. You are beautiful as you are (and let nobody tell you otherwise!) and helping others with your money is much more satisfactory for you as a person. That is really value for money, with benefits :) Thanks for all your great video’s and stay safe! ❤️

I am SO HAPPY that you mentioned #clearthelist! I am a first year biology teacher at a title one high school and this movement is how I've been sourcing supplies for my classroom and students! I have five more items that I need to clear, including copy paper, construction paper, and classroom organization. Here's my link if you would like to take a peak ( amzn.to/3e8P5Oq)! Also, if you'd like to support more teachers, check out #clearthelist on twitter! There are a ton of teachers trying to source supplies for their classroom on twitter daily! Thanks for shedding light on this movement!
