What has been your results, that's what counts , the application of knowledge is called wisdom, in what ways have you applied your faith and achieved results, how many people have you mentored that have achieved results, what are your testimonies for all to see, Our Lord Jesus Christ never singled out individuals to criticize, he does general criticism, not individuals, Mike please exercise your faith by opening up a church, grow the church and let's see, organize crusades and do altar calls, let's see how far you can go, travel overseas and preach the gospel with power and let everyone see it, the gospel of Jesus Christ is not just in words but with power, if the gospel you are teaching has no power to fight demons and set people free from oppression and poverty then you are just wasting your time. @@SecretPlaceOTMH64 Nothing you said is correct. Jesus did single out individuals, and so did John the Baptist, Paul the Apostle, etc. The Gospel doesn't set people free from oppression and poverty. The apostles all died in poverty and oppression.
You use as a verbal example that Mr. Copeland tells people that even if they lost their job, they need to keep giving. That's actually biblical though. I understand that's between a person and God, but it's actually the pastor's job to to say that God would prefer we continue to give. I'm not saying whether Mr. Copeland was either right or wrong, and I've never watched any of them anyway, so I never heard that sermon where he said that or anything else he said around it. I'm just saying that that example you provided is Biblical.
I was in a prosperity church for years, my “pastor” bragged ahout Kenneth Copeland being his mentor. It was heartbreaking to realize I was deceived for so long. I didn’t know Jesus. Mike you were a huge part of helping me out of the prosperity gospel and into sound theology.

Me too Maya, I went to a word of faith church and recently about a year and a half ago woke up to the full truth about the gospel. One of the speakers I would frequently listen to & go to his conferences and spend time with my family and his, Kevin Zadai is really into Copeland, Perry Stone, Jesse Duplantis and a lot of heretics sadly. It's sad when you feel like someone is somewhat of a friend/acquaintance but teaching false things.
I'm not a christian myself, but I really respect seeing someone from within the faith reminding others that it's important to stay away from the destructive people like Kenneth.

I grew up at Eagle Mountain International Church - the home church for Kenneth Copeland Ministries. I was there from birth to age 18. If you think his adult church is bad, then you’d be APPALLED by the children’s ministries! Most of my peers who grew up and out of that church ended up with unresolved trauma and mental disorders (myself included), and they became wiccans, atheists, etc. We grew up in a guilt ridden environment because we were never good enough. Children forced to sit thru 2-4 hour sermons and judged for fidgeting, needing to use the restroom, etc. We were trained to view our leaders and Kenneth Copeland as a celebrity and basically god like. We were told we are not of this world and are above it. I have so many stories and insights on this horrible CULT that I grew up in.
I'm so happy that these horrible cults are being exposed for what they are. The sad part is that those of us who grew up in them have to live with the negative effects, and I pray we can all heal. In Jesus' name.

G'day Aussie Dad, another survivor of Copeland's "ministry" here, although he scared the daylights out of me, when I was a teenager (in the 80s). It wasn't until years later (when I had grown up), that I thought, "If we're all meant to prosper, how come the only ones getting rich, are the televangelists themselves?" I unlearned the blab-it-and-grab-it rot, and learned Biblical teachings instead. I also prayed that my parents would see through Copeland. Thanks be to God, He brought them out of it, too! At 10 years old, my Mom passed away from Cancer. She was 36 with four young children( all under 12) Sadly according to her Dr. her death could have been avoided... had she undergone treatment. Of course her favorite pastors were all the top Word of Faith Pastors. I grew up seeing them so often and listening to their tapes that they felt like family. Its sad, but its true. She was taught & believed that God Always heals... IF you have faith. So she refused any major treatment, went on a missions trip... a couple months later we said goodbye to our Mother who deeply believed the words of Kenneth Copeland along with all the others. Thankfully the Lord opened my eyes. I now have to pray that he does the same for my family. Many of them still Listen and even lead bible studies from Kenneth Copeland, Joseph prince ect. My mother by God's mercy survived cancer after it came back again for 3 rd time. She learned it a hard way.. I know another close friend of mine who passed away very young due to insane faith teachings.. God please lead ppl in the right direction 😭🙏

I went to an easter service at his daughters church in Texas. I took my formerly catholic french husband there and he was completely freaked out. So was i. We walked out and left (even taking our kids out of their separate classrooms in the middle of their activities) about the time they told everyone to repeat there is limos and jets coming to you in the name of jesus. I was so appalled that this happened on easter. They even took the 153 fish story of Jesus and twisted it to try to make it mean you give jesus one fish and youll get 153 fish back. Thankfully my husband didn’t immediately run back to Catholic Church lol which i was afraid of after that sad experience. Thanks for the exposé its needed.
Thank you so much for this video. I recently escaped the Word of Faith movement (the Osteen and Hillsong variation) as a 19 year old living under my parents roof, my eyes were completely opened in March 2020 after I started being convicted starting in July 2019. I also have cerebral palsy but they are believing in a theology that doesn’t allow for things like that or any kind of trial. They understand that God doesn’t always heal, but they aren’t aware that the theology they subscribe to does not. Please pray for my parents eyes to be opened.

I really admire people like Nick Vujicic, he keeps a pair of shoes in his closet, believing God can heal Him but also moves and uses his disabilities to spread the gospel. I think that's amazing to never give up yet to use our disadvantaged to spread the gospel. I deal with ocd and its brought me closer Jesus, but I 100% believe it's oppression from the enemie. I know I can be healed in a split second from ocd by Jesus but going through tribulation has also brought me closer to my Savior and I wouldn't change it. 🤷🏼♀️ (also sometimes I notice i like my ocd tendencies so slowly they start decreasing in my life and I believe it's Jesus who helps me get slowly better and let go..... sometimes it's painful but most of the time I notice I am slowly just letting go with very little pain..... thanks to Jesus) I think people that believe everyone should be healed are missing that hardship can be so beneficial for people to bring them closer to Yeshua. ❤

Since I became a Christian, God was really dealing with my coveteousness by denying me 'success' in my field of work. I was getting resentful and your message was a wake up call. Indeed, "But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition". I was getting sadder, and the devil was able to trigger resentment in me. I now see that God is really blessing me, and I need the Holy Spirit to sanctify me of this wicked carnality.

I was in a church like this in 80s, funny thing my children were more discerning than us. At the time, new Christians, we were told to obey those who taught us. We did. Decades ago, my mom was in a Kenneth Copeland service. As he was praying for people he was shoving them down. When he got to my mom, she wouldn't go down. Copeland said to her "there is no hope for you." He's been a showman for decades. One has to wonder if he ever received salvation? God only knows.
Dear Mike I realize you probably won't really see this, but although I never followed Copeland I did buy into the prosperity gospel, it was the circles I was saved in but I always took issue and recoiled at the extremes of it. When I really began to untangle it several years ago I honestly had to admit exactly what you were saying, something made me vulnerable to this type of teaching and it had to have been my own agreement and desire for it. I never fell for the money side of things and have always questioned if Kenneth Copeland was sane, demon possessed, saved, etc. I got right into Todd White, Bill Johnson, etc. And when I saw that Todd had partnered with Kenneth, I was confused and shocked and my heart was so grieved! Todd is like a little child in his understanding of the gospel in that he's so naive and basic... But when you said that people who follow Kenneth are doing so because they are greedy like him, my heart was heavy with the realisation that this is why I was decieved by the false teachers I fell to: I had a lust for miracles, signs and wonders more than just Jesus. Your straight shooting really hit the nail on the head, drove home the last nail in the coffin and made all the pieces fall into place for me! So many times God had convicted me of this truth, but it was YOUR WORDS that finally put straight language to it and made it finally perfectly clear. Now I can repent of believing another gospel, of following false teachers, and turn back to the God that truly saves!! This passage talks about Christians getting temporary judgement so that they will not be judged with the rest of the world. Copeland has no part in Christ. He is getting judgement for being a blasphemous hater of God. That is, if he doesn't repent. God's mercy can reach him even now.
No, he's not actualy taking communion. He's not a priest and therefore the bread and wine don't become the real body, blood, soul, and divinity of Christ.
Peachers like Kenneth Copeland turned me away from Christianity when I was growing up because I thought "if that is Christianity, I don't want any part of it." But God showed me what real Christianity looks like and yes, I fell into prosperity teaching, but something in me said this isn't right either. Thank God! This is so sad!!

My 80 year old mother had a complete mental breakdown last year partly due to her belief that her faith wasn't strong enough to heal her or stop Covid. This is the first time since I left formal religion that I have heard someone express the obvious truth of what has become the popular Church of American Greed and Lust. This is refreshing to hear Christianity still has hope. Thank you. I don't understand why he is accepted or tolerated by any single human. His face has it written all over every pore. All televangelist are part of the reason people like myself had to become agnostic out of disgust and shame in them. In my head I felt all Christianity embraced these teachings and money hungry celebrities because I never heard a single christian denounce it. I was watching Kenneth Copeland one Sunday when he said he looked into the mirror one day and noticed his gray hair. He commanded his gray hair to turn dark brown in the name of Jesus. According to Copeland, his hair immediately turned dark brown. He claims he does not use hair coloring. That being the case, I wondered why Jesus did not rid Copeland's face of all the wrinkles. It would have been two miracles for the price of one.
I think he has availed himself of the miracle of cosmetic surgery, which is why his eyes have suddenly gotten so much weirder. Mike just noted him "giving the scary eyes" to a reporter, and it is definitely evil that is expressed. But the plastic surgery pulls them back, tighter, and it exaggerates that effect.
Reminds me of Jesus’ words about not being able to turn your hairs white or black (or any color in between, I’m sure) Seems Copeland is in direct contradiction. What a surprise (not).

I can only hope that others watched it. I attended a WOF church about 5 years with no clue that it wasn't a regular Church preaching the Gospel. There were signs that made me squirm but unfortunately I just thought that all of these people were really holy and I was a horrible sinner. God never gave me a word to share when the pastor asked each and every Sunday. The pastor, sometime in those 5 years, began to follow Kenneth Copeland. I watched Copeland once and thought, huh!! People in this "church" were also huge followers of Andrew Wommack. I didn't swallow or follow him either. Still I didn't leave. Then one day the pastor called me about coming to an evening meeting and I just blurted out that I wouldn't be there and was leaving the church. I still don't know where that came from but I am forever grateful. I loved the people at this little church but have to avoid them, sadly. I grieve at how lightly these people take the crucifixion of Jesus and God's Word. Thank you again.

I’ve been immersing myself in Scripture and praying for discernment with all things. I’ve had a rough year. Sick earlier this year for 3 weeks with influenza. 2 weeks ago I lost my second job(I took a dialysis patient back and forth from his home recently passed away), got Covid 2 days after, week later gf ghosted me. Finally got better, 2 days later now I’m battling a stomach bug. Talked to my mom today about it and asked for prayer. She immediately brought up Kenneth Copeland basically insinuating that my faith wasn’t strong enough and that’s why this is happening to me. This could be long. I've been praying to truly know God, not from other people, but to really learn myself. I've been a Christian my whole life, and I'll admit I didn't think that desire and prayer would lead me to this video. I have to wrestle now with what you've said here because there was a time where I listened and believed a lot of what Copeland preached. I'm going to listen to your "name it and claim it" video to help me through this, but I am so thankful to you for opening my eyes to this. It's not as if I've listened to Copeland yesterday, or even months ago but now I have to figure out the errors I may have inadvertently believed. I am from tge Philippines and I was deceived by him for almost 8 years... i had a lot of Magazines believing every word he said... i was so dillusional that even i saw some evidence before that something wrong about what His teaching i still believed him..80% of his teaching, they teach it in my old church and even though he had a lot of failed prophecy in the past aside from this covid thing.. they still believe him ... we are all dellusional of believing him and everything he said.. but i thank God i am free now... but its hard because i am the only in my old church see that something wrong with our belief because of believing him.. so i decided to leave the church.. i was worship leader in that church for 8 years and they are family so its hard to leave plus sometimes there is this thought what if i am wrong but thank you for your UA-cam channel Pastor Mike because i am learning a lot.... I feel your heartbreak Mike. In the 80's I was part of a prayer group that was infected with this doctrine. Every week we would hear that God wants you to pray for the exact year, color, and make of the car you want or add on some secret prayer to get God to give you something you want. I did what I could to redirect them to actual biblical teaching. I think you are right that the inclination of their hearts were more toward things of this world than to Jesus. When you said you thought that Kenneth might be demon possessed, that's what I was thinking too. I've said it before, I am reassured in Christ because I see Him raise up shepherds like you and my faithful pastor as well. Bless you, brother.
I grew up in Word of Faith churches. They never said that they were Word of Faith, but the teachings were similar. I cringe when I think of the years that we sat listening to preachers like this. Sad and disturbing. I'm learning and unlearning so much. Thanks for the Biblical truth.
Nobody's teachings healed you. Healing comes only from God, in His sovereignty. He does not heal everyone. These teachers claim that everyone should be healed, and they teach that if we are not healed, it is because we don't have faith. People are taught to speak as if they are healed, using positive confession or positive thinking, which is New Age/New Thought. These are not Biblical teachings.

This is the adversary's ploy to make christianity look ridiculous. Satan paves the way for these counterfeits to fame and fortune to discredit the gospel. Unfortunately it is working to an extent.
They shame the needy. They despise them. So I guess if anybody was in despair or suicidal hopefully they wouldn't dare inconvenience the leaders or take up their time because that would be proof they were not in faith and submission. This is a good tactic to try to make sure nobody will approach them for ministry, prayer, comfort or support which most of them hate. So if they call it out ahead of time maybe those needing help will be too ashamed and scared to ask for help. Most of these kind of people despise the hurting, sick, afflicted, maimed and so forth. They have no time or patience for them. I recently came across your channel, and I am enjoying your content. I have been a believer since 2001, and I have watched programming from a lot of different 'ministries' since then. I provided home health visits to a client, and she watched Christian TV programs exclusively, so I've seen them all. I'm glad that in 2007, the Lord started leading away from a lot of them. I could never warm up to a lot of them, and this man was at the top of that list. I found his wife to be just as bad. It saddens me SO MANY follow him and give him $. Thank you for the expose.
My parents have loved him for as long as I can remember and I'm 42. They still give him money and receive his magazine (my in-laws as well). When I was sick as a child my mom would put on Kenneth's tape cassette of supposed "healing songs". Thank you for respectably teaching how wrong and false his teachings are!!
Unfortunately, they may not be saved. He teaches gnosticism, not Christianity. He claims Christ died to give you power as a little god. Not to save you, a human, not a god, from your sins.

Things that I ask my mom "have you ever felt wierd by watching him" and "have you ever heard him say anything that wasn't in the bible" thankfully, she doesn't get offended. @@SecretPlaceOTMH64 Nothing you said is correct. Jesus did single out individuals, and so did John the Baptist, Paul the Apostle, etc. The Gospel doesn't set people free from oppression and poverty. The apostles all died in poverty and oppression.
You use as a verbal example that Mr. Copeland tells people that even if they lost their job, they need to keep giving. That's actually biblical though. I understand that's between a person and God, but it's actually the pastor's job to to say that God would prefer we continue to give. I'm not saying whether Mr. Copeland was either right or wrong, and I've never watched any of them anyway, so I never heard that sermon where he said that or anything else he said around it. I'm just saying that that example you provided is Biblical.
I was in a prosperity church for years, my “pastor” bragged ahout Kenneth Copeland being his mentor. It was heartbreaking to realize I was deceived for so long. I didn’t know Jesus. Mike you were a huge part of helping me out of the prosperity gospel and into sound theology.

Everyday people keep saying prosperity gospel, what does it mean, I need to know, did Jesus say those who believe in him must not prosper.
Me too Maya, I went to a word of faith church and recently about a year and a half ago woke up to the full truth about the gospel. One of the speakers I would frequently listen to & go to his conferences and spend time with my family and his, Kevin Zadai is really into Copeland, Perry Stone, Jesse Duplantis and a lot of heretics sadly. It's sad when you feel like someone is somewhat of a friend/acquaintance but teaching false things.
I'm not a christian myself, but I really respect seeing someone from within the faith reminding others that it's important to stay away from the destructive people like Kenneth.

I grew up at Eagle Mountain International Church - the home church for Kenneth Copeland Ministries. I was there from birth to age 18. If you think his adult church is bad, then you’d be APPALLED by the children’s ministries! Most of my peers who grew up and out of that church ended up with unresolved trauma and mental disorders (myself included), and they became wiccans, atheists, etc. We grew up in a guilt ridden environment because we were never good enough. Children forced to sit thru 2-4 hour sermons and judged for fidgeting, needing to use the restroom, etc. We were trained to view our leaders and Kenneth Copeland as a celebrity and basically god like. We were told we are not of this world and are above it.
I have so many stories and insights on this horrible CULT that I grew up in.

G'day Aussie Dad, another survivor of Copeland's "ministry" here, although he scared the daylights out of me, when I was a teenager (in the 80s). It wasn't until years later (when I had grown up), that I thought, "If we're all meant to prosper, how come the only ones getting rich, are the televangelists themselves?" I unlearned the blab-it-and-grab-it rot, and learned Biblical teachings instead. I also prayed that my parents would see through Copeland. Thanks be to God, He brought them out of it, too!

At 10 years old, my Mom passed away from Cancer. She was 36 with four young children( all under 12) Sadly according to her Dr. her death could have been avoided... had she undergone treatment.
Of course her favorite pastors were all the top Word of Faith Pastors. I grew up seeing them so often and listening to their tapes that they felt like family. Its sad, but its true. She was taught & believed that God Always heals... IF you have faith. So she refused any major treatment, went on a missions trip... a couple months later we said goodbye to our Mother who deeply believed the words of Kenneth Copeland along with all the others.
Thankfully the Lord opened my eyes. I now have to pray that he does the same for my family. Many of them still Listen and even lead bible studies from Kenneth Copeland, Joseph prince ect.

I went to an easter service at his daughters church in Texas. I took my formerly catholic french husband there and he was completely freaked out. So was i. We walked out and left (even taking our kids out of their separate classrooms in the middle of their activities) about the time they told everyone to repeat there is limos and jets coming to you in the name of jesus. I was so appalled that this happened on easter. They even took the 153 fish story of Jesus and twisted it to try to make it mean you give jesus one fish and youll get 153 fish back. Thankfully my husband didn’t immediately run back to Catholic Church lol which i was afraid of after that sad experience. Thanks for the exposé its needed.

I recently escaped the Word of Faith movement (the Osteen and Hillsong variation) as a 19 year old living under my parents roof, my eyes were completely opened in March 2020 after I started being convicted starting in July 2019. I also have cerebral palsy but they are believing in a theology that doesn’t allow for things like that or any kind of trial. They understand that God doesn’t always heal, but they aren’t aware that the theology they subscribe to does not. Please pray for my parents eyes to be opened.

I really admire people like Nick Vujicic, he keeps a pair of shoes in his closet, believing God can heal Him but also moves and uses his disabilities to spread the gospel. I think that's amazing to never give up yet to use our disadvantaged to spread the gospel. I deal with ocd and its brought me closer Jesus, but I 100% believe it's oppression from the enemie. I know I can be healed in a split second from ocd by Jesus but going through tribulation has also brought me closer to my Savior and I wouldn't change it. 🤷🏼♀️ (also sometimes I notice i like my ocd tendencies so slowly they start decreasing in my life and I believe it's Jesus who helps me get slowly better and let go..... sometimes it's painful but most of the time I notice I am slowly just letting go with very little pain..... thanks to Jesus) I think people that believe everyone should be healed are missing that hardship can be so beneficial for people to bring them closer to Yeshua. ❤

Thanks Mike. I don't watch Kenneth Copeland, but as I watched your video, I was convicted of my own carnality. Since I became a Christian, God was really dealing with my coveteousness by denying me 'success' in my field of work. I was getting resentful and your message was a wake up call. Indeed, "But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition". I was getting sadder, and the devil was able to trigger resentment in me. I now see that God is really blessing me, and I need the Holy Spirit to sanctify me of this wicked carnality.
Read the first book of City of God by Augustine. He wrote it just after the sack of Rome. His insights are still fitting!

I was in a church like this in 80s, funny thing my children were more discerning than us. At the time, new Christians, we were told to obey those who taught us. We did. Over the years we have learned by Bible study and authentic pastors that this name it and claim it preachers we're sooooooo wrong. Thank you that we have been rescued out of this kind of teaching. Dear Mike I realize you probably won't really see this, but although I never followed Copeland I did buy into the prosperity gospel, it was the circles I was saved in but I always took issue and recoiled at the extremes of it.
When I really began to untangle it several years ago I honestly had to admit exactly what you were saying, something made me vulnerable to this type of teaching and it had to have been my own agreement and desire for it.

I never fell for the money side of things and have always questioned if Kenneth Copeland was sane, demon possessed, saved, etc.
I got right into Todd White, Bill Johnson, etc. And when I saw that Todd had partnered with Kenneth, I was confused and shocked and my heart was so grieved! Todd is like a little child in his understanding of the gospel in that he's so naive and basic...
But when you said that people who follow Kenneth are doing so because they are greedy like him, my heart was heavy with the realisation that this is why I was decieved by the false teachers I fell to: I had a lust for miracles, signs and wonders more than just Jesus.
Your straight shooting really hit the nail on the head, drove home the last nail in the coffin and made all the pieces fall into place for me! So many times God had convicted me of this truth, but it was YOUR WORDS that finally put straight language to it and made it finally perfectly clear.
Now I can repent of believing another gospel, of following false teachers, and turn back to the God that truly saves!!

This passage talks about Christians getting temporary judgement so that they will not be judged with the rest of the world. Copeland has no part in Christ. He is getting judgement for being a blasphemous hater of God. That is, if he doesn't repent. God's mercy can reach him even now.
No, he's not actualy taking communion. He's not a priest and therefore the bread and wine don't become the real body, blood, soul, and divinity of Christ.

Peachers like Kenneth Copeland turned me away from Christianity when I was growing up because I thought "if that is Christianity, I don't want any part of it." But God showed me what real Christianity looks like and yes, I fell into prosperity teaching, but something in me said this isn't right either. Thank God!

I weep, thank you for speaking out. This man has lead so many astray. The other hook you might want to mention is the promise of healing. My 80 year old mother had a complete mental breakdown last year partly due to her belief that her faith wasn't strong enough to heal her or stop Covid. It broke her, she even feared she'd lost her salvation. She has subscribed to his Voice of Victory for many years. I am grateful she is pulling through and finding Jesus again. Bless you xxx

I was watching Kenneth Copeland one Sunday when he said he looked into the mirror one day and noticed his gray hair. He commanded his gray hair to turn dark brown in the name of Jesus. According to Copeland, his hair immediately turned dark brown. He claims he does not use hair coloring. That being the case, I wondered why Jesus did not rid Copeland's face of all the wrinkles. It would have been two miracles for the price of one.

I think he has availed himself of the miracle of cosmetic surgery, which is why his eyes have suddenly gotten so much weirder. Mike just noted him "giving the scary eyes" to a reporter, and it is definitely evil that is expressed. But the plastic surgery pulls them back, tighter, and it exaggerates that effect.

Thank you Pastor Winger for loving us enough to expend your time and energy to make this video. I shared it on Facebook and got one response, so I'm happy. The response was "Wow". I can only hope that others watched it. I attended a WOF church about 5 years with no clue that it wasn't a regular Church preaching the Gospel. There were signs that made me squirm but unfortunately I just thought that all of these people were really holy and I was a horrible sinner. God never gave me a word to share when the pastor asked each and every Sunday. The pastor, sometime in those 5 years, began to follow Kenneth Copeland. I watched Copeland once and thought, huh!! People in this "church" were also huge followers of Andrew Wommack. I didn't swallow or follow him either. Still I didn't leave. Then one day the pastor called me about coming to an evening meeting and I just blurted out that I wouldn't be there and was leaving the church. I still don't know where that came from but I am forever grateful. I loved the people at this little church but have to avoid them, sadly. I grieve at how lightly these people take the crucifixion of Jesus and God's Word. Thank you again.

I’ve been immersing myself in Scripture and praying for discernment with all things. I’ve had a rough year. Sick earlier this year for 3 weeks with influenza. 2 weeks ago I lost my second job(I took a dialysis patient back and forth from his home recently passed away), got Covid 2 days after, week later gf ghosted me. Finally got better, 2 days later now I’m battling a stomach bug. Talked to my mom today about it and asked for prayer. She immediately brought up Kenneth Copeland basically insinuating that my faith wasn’t strong enough and that’s why this is happening to me. With this video I finally am certain(thanks for the Scripture verses)& strong enough to label him a false teacher! I pray for my mom to see the light. Thank you for everything Mike. This could be long. I've been praying to truly know God, not from other people, but to really learn myself. I've been a Christian my whole life, and I'll admit I didn't think that desire and prayer would lead me to this video. I have to wrestle now with what you've said here because there was a time where I listened and believed a lot of what Copeland preached. I'm going to listen to your "name it and claim it" video to help me through this, but I am so thankful to you for opening my eyes to this. It's not as if I've listened to Copeland yesterday, or even months ago but now I have to figure out the errors I may have inadvertently believed. I know the Holy Spirit will help me though because I believe I stumbled here on purpose.

I feel your heartbreak Mike. In the 80's I was part of a prayer group that was infected with this doctrine. Every week we would hear that God wants you to pray for the exact year, color, and make of the car you want or add on some secret prayer to get God to give you something you want. I did what I could to redirect them to actual biblical teaching. I think you are right that the inclination of their hearts were more toward things of this world than to Jesus. When you said you thought that Kenneth might be demon possessed, that's what I was thinking too. I've said it before, I am reassured in Christ because I see Him raise up shepherds like you and my faithful pastor as well. Bless you, brother.
I grew up in Word of Faith churches. They never said that they were Word of Faith, but the teachings were similar. I cringe when I think of the years that we sat listening to preachers like this. Sad and disturbing. I'm learning and unlearning so much. Thanks for the Biblical truth.
I think we need a support group for all of us raised under word of faith. I'm amazed at how God rescues us though. But so much damage was done.
Nobody's teachings healed you. Healing comes only from God, in His sovereignty. He does not heal everyone. These teachers claim that everyone should be healed, and they teach that if we are not healed, it is because we don't have faith. People are taught to speak as if they are healed, using positive confession or positive thinking, which is New Age/New Thought. These are not Biblical teachings.

I agree...have watched genuine preachers who have been ridiculed by the comments and I know they are real...
They shame the needy. They despise them.
So I guess if anybody was in despair or suicidal hopefully they wouldn't dare inconvenience the leaders or take up their time because that would be proof they were not in faith and submission.
This is a good tactic to try to make sure nobody will approach them for ministry, prayer, comfort or support which most of them hate.
So if they call it out ahead of time maybe those needing help will be too ashamed and scared to ask for help.
Most of these kind of people despise the hurting, sick, afflicted, maimed and so forth.
They have no time or patience for them.
They are often arrogant and full of pride and only take time for the influential and well off who can benefit them back somehow.

Actually the most recent spark of faith and conversions happen due to Catholic church and its missionaries in African and Asian countries. No matter which church you follow- you are persecuted. So please before you say such judgemental statements consider that there were Popes, who were great Christians, deserve to be in heaven and i cannot believe that following certain church is crucial to be ressurected/saved.

I recently came across your channel, and I am enjoying your content. I have been a believer since 2001, and I have watched programming from a lot of different 'ministries' since then. I provided home health visits to a client, and she watched Christian TV programs exclusively, so I've seen them all. I'm glad that in 2007, the Lord started leading away from a lot of them. I could never warm up to a lot of them, and this man was at the top of that list. I found his wife to be just as bad. It saddens me SO MANY follow him and give him $. Thank you for the expose.
My parents have loved him for as long as I can remember and I'm 42. They still give him money and receive his magazine (my in-laws as well). When I was sick as a child my mom would put on Kenneth's tape cassette of supposed "healing songs". Thank you for respectably teaching how wrong and false his teachings are!!
Unfortunately, they may not be saved. He teaches gnosticism, not Christianity. He claims Christ died to give you power as a little god. Not to save you, a human, not a god, from your sins.
My mother as well. I encourage you sister to gently and kindly ask them questions about Copeland. Things that I ask my mom "have you ever felt wierd by watching him" and "have you ever heard him say anything that wasn't in the bible" thankfully, she doesn't get offended. And I've been working on this for weeks now. So about 1 conversation every week. .. after I've gotten her to think biblically about his teachings, now it's game time. Time to send her videos like this one from mike... but 1st I'll send her the communion one. And I know for sure that will get her to see the truth. Because she does read the bible! ... she hasn't been a full follower of Copeland for a few years now, but that's not good enough for me.
