Please pray for me; I’m currently in an awkward position in my life. I’m a freshman college student taking general education, because I have absolutely no idea what career path I’m called to. I made the decision to convert to Catholicism shortly before moving in to college, and I desire to be a husband and father someday. There’s a massive wall blocking me from this though; I struggle heavily with video games, sloth, and lust. That combined with not knowing what career path to take, I’m in a rather large pickle. @ I do have a priest I can talk to; I’ve been going to mass ever since I moved out (and I’m getting confirmed this Easter vigil). I’ll see if I can speak with him sometime soon. There used to be a Catholic group at my campus, but it unfortunately has been replaced by a Protestant evangelical group.

Start listening to podcasts like “The Catholic Gentleman”, “Pints With Aquinas”, “Catholic Life Coach for Men” and consume any Catholic content you can. By growing in holiness everyday, you’ll be led towards your vocation. I by no means have it all figured out, but I realized whenever I started praying the Rosary 1+ times a day along with consuming information about the church and theology, and purposefully growing in my prayer life, the life decisions about my future (I.e. attending graduate school, moving away from home for the first time, joining the Church) were all decisions that I didn’t force, but instead were given along with an abundance of peace. I’ll be praying for you! P.s. to overcome the sloth and lust realize you need to become the man your future wife needs you to be and that starts with SELF SACRIFICE !!!

@@jcolebusi put simply. It’s easier because Orthodox and Catholics tend to live out their faiths with very similar views regarding roles and responsibilities in a sacramental marriage. Basically no difference. We both get marriage in the same way. It’s harder because we aren’t in communion with each other.
I will also add actually having been separated from the western church for a thousand years. Going to a novus ordo mass was both instantly recognizable and familiar to me. I think this shocked me more than anything else based on everything the Catholics say about the novus ordo mass. The only strange thing I found was the priest facing us.

Try looking into holistic remedies. I’ve grown up with an AI disease almost all my life. I was 7 when I was diagnosed and am now 30. In the last year, I switched over to a mostly carnivore diet and the difference in my health within a month was like night and day. I lost a lot of trust in the medical field due to all the lies I endured for the sake of my health. Doctors are not your friends. Trust medicine up to a certain extent but God gave us what we needed with His creation. Truly living off His creation is what keeps us healthy.

I even had a period of strict carnivore for over five weeks straight, but I mentally broke trying to be so strict. I also am mostly going to holistic medical professionals, specifically a homeopathic chiropractor. What he does is interesting, but it seems like the supplements that I react well to always seem to change on each visit. I think if my issues were autoimmune like yours, it would be more effective. However, I believe my issues are mostly neurological, and the only way out is by convincing my subconscious that I'm not in danger anymore. Recent viruses have absolutely wreaked havoc on my body and caused great trauma, so getting out if it will mostly be a psychological and spiritual endeavor to be able to change my neurology.

Stubble or a buzz cut is fine as well. It’s also best to learn what colors compliment you the best. If you can’t figure it out, anything black is a great go to. I have been trying to lose weight for more than a decade and have had no luck. It's crippled my confidence. I pray for strength, but bad habits are way too strong. These kinds of videos take away my hope because it feels like no one will love me until I lose weight. That it's all conditional.

Yes, you'll have to compete ruthlessly to get one. Hobbies like gaming arent totally bad, but bc of the high level of competition, you cant afford it. Yes, most women will/can have an easier time than you. No, she wont likely be a virgin. Regardless, you will have Jesus to accompany you so that you'll have a happy life.

find a priest near the campus. if not try a catholic student union if the campus has one. some non catholic colleges even have college kofc councils.
