There were a few rules snafus here, one of the main ones was a misunderstanding of the Trash Golem's power. The Trash Golem must be present at a location for his special ability to work, and locations are resolved in number order with all assistants being returned when their location is resolved. Basically, the Trash Golem has to be on a higher numbered location (Not his Home card) for his trash collection to work. Also, Becca mistakenly stopped Amy from shelving 2 cards from the after she finally won the auction @ 53:42 because there are 2 players at the Gambling Den. The rules are also slightly ambiguous for the Gambling Den, my group plays it where the active player chooses one category and then we go round robin until everyone has chosen a category for each assistant present. This interpretation is based on the clarifying text about naming "A different category" instead of being plural. I remember there being a few other minor issues, but nothing that would have likely changed the outcome. I would say that I feel sorry for Tyler; the Trash Golem is very powerful in games with more players, but is almost completely countered by the Fire Imp.
I noticed there was a phrase used 'if you ain't cheating you're not trying', and by looking at the player power Becca Scott was cheating the whole game with her power as by reading the card you do both home actions draw and place and then discard to repeat the action, where she was discarding first to draw 2 place 2, which means she could use the 2nd card first to get better placement if needed be she wasn't doing a repeat.
One of my friends has a name credit in the back of the rules. Tony Racano. Game is fun but no idea why they chose that color\text font\size. So hard to read. It's in my collection but haven't played much because games like Altiplano, Concordia, and recently Lowlands exist.
43:43 I think Becca cheated at the gambling hall by not discarding the cards she didn't shelve? Just look at her @ 44:28, unscrupulously adding a gambled card to the hand after the "not cheating not trying" quip! LOL. The rule is up @ 40:40 and she doesn't read the last part about discarding. I think she was keeping extra cards!
superdestructo Becca cheats, it's a rolling meme now. Usually she doesn't deliberately do it. And they have a rules person specifically to catch stuff like that.
Its kind of sad but I get the impression she is one of these game players that HAS to win....I may have missed it but did they randomly select their assistants in this game? The bookworm seems very overpowered... you could pretty much shelve your book collection in half the time of the others...would not be surprised if becca chose it
She's not cheating that's how the card works. It reads take all matching card (add them too your hand) and you may shelve them 1 per players below ( you don't have to shelve them), and discard the rest ( all the cards that did not have the marching symbol on them) which she did.
Here's a nerdy question: Are any of the book titles repeated on multiple cards? If not, that alone is impressive. With there being 2-4 books per card, that's alot of book titles to think up.
Wil Wheaton is no longer doing Table Top. The show was bought by Legendary Entetrtainment who pissed Wil off with lack of communication, paywalls and shit production styles. G&S was the channel that played Table Top after the paywall expired. Wil had blogged he won't be returning for a 5th season and Game the Game, though technically not a replacement as it was around for quite a while, is all we have left.
I came here only to see how many comments there are complaining about Tabletop and Will Wheaton. Keep it up! I feed on their misery. Also I love Game the Game, watching it on Project Alpha right now.
if there's anything I've learned by watching GtG it's the fact that Becca has amazing luck and also cheats every chance she can get, that's a pretty difficult combo to beat.
Somebody needs to install a hidden conveyor belt that goes around the table so the other players can trade cards behind her back.. Oh, who am I kidding? I can't be upset with Becca.
even without cheating she has said she has played the games before so will always have the advantage over players encountering the game for the first time
one of the recurring annoyances of modern gamers is their lack of literacy...how many times do we have to see typos and their use of the English language is sometimes terrible... its mathy its thinky its gamery
ZoidbergForPresident from the moment legendary got the rights to GnS content, he was not happy about the way they run things (like having early access to tabletop show through a paywall called project alpha subscription). Plus he was burnt out about the way the tabletop show was organised, specificaly about rule explanations. He has a blog that documented some of these stuff on his personal website
why are you people *still* complaining about this? GtG took Tabletop's place ages ago, if you actually cared about the series you would've noticed it back when it happened. There's no point in bitching about it at this point.

Is anyone else missing sound in the first bit after the intro?
I could only hear it in one ear.
Yep came here to check for this.
Any one else missing TableTop over this?
Yup. It's not necessarily worse, but different.
Living in a library for a month sounds like a potentially true story I want to hear more about either way.
AMY VORPAHL! I thought I recognized her from the thumbnail! YAY AMY AND BECCA TOGETHER!
Keep up the good work Becca
I’d get a first turn advantage so often. Always getting books. Specifically working ok collecting Tamara pierce

FYI. Banned books are a celebrated by librarians. Check out Banned Books week by the ALA.

Wait, how many cards do you start with? It’s not clear to me.
Just bought a copy 🤗
Okay, now officially hooked on Amy Vorpahl.
yeah shes cute

trekadam30 No, no repeats aside from and occasionally funny sequel joke.
its called creativity...once you start thinking of titles they can snowball
Fuckin'... Nailed the quote there, Amy. Hats off to you. Round of applause.
is it just me or does all the colour in the vid feel muted and a little washed out? i think it might help if they made the colour a bit more vibrant
What happend to the morganville vampires
Is this supposed to be a replacement for Wil Wheaton's Tabletop? I don't mind it, but also curious where that other one went too. :/

Oooooh... too bad. :(
I hope he comes back and make something similar with better producers. :P

Night Cat! What the hell are you doing over here and not at p32? :D
even without cheating she has said she has played the games before so will always have the advantage over players encountering the game for the first time
I might be really late with this but can someone tell me what ever happened to wil wheaton is he no longer part of geek & sundry?
Wait, Becca used to live in a library? Are we going to get the story behind that?
1:08:53 Thier??? Guess you meant their.
Take that book and shelve it!
Sing the alphabet song in their head. Umm guys it's on your home base card on the right side.
Those 4 H are pretty sweet
I'm amused by "thier final score" instead of "their final score."
one of the recurring annoyances of modern gamers is their lack of literacy...how many times do we have to see typos and their use of the English language is sometimes terrible... its mathy its thinky its gamery
Don't get too excited Becca. We might think you're enjoying describing the game there.
TYLER FUCKING BEARDSLEY!
bring will wheaton as a guest please
sad dood Yeah, just like he brought Becca as his guest to Tabletop
i think will no longer want to have any connection with GnS shows, even as a guest
Whaaaaa' t happenned?

People can still be upset about it no matter how long ago it happened. She is terrible compared to him.
becca scott is the 3rd hottest fake ginger on the internet :D
