Great video for new players. I have a couple VERY nitpicky corrections: A green and yellow vision tower are not always guaranteed. It is possible to get two green vision towers due to the straw quest replacing Poi's. Items from wells are always a guaranteed rarity. First reward is always rare, the second is always epic, and the third is as you said.
Thanks I appreciate that! And wow that’s actually really interesting, I was close to not saying the vision towers aren’t guaranteed because in 400 hours I’ve had one run where I remember seeing two green vision towers but it was actually in the second chapter. It was co-op and I remember being so confused and thought it was a bug. And that’s super helpful knowledge on the well, makes going after a duplicate stack a lot easier
For anyone watching post 1.0 Release, wells colours do mean different rewards (and its been this way for a few months now). Each colour means more expensive and better rewards. Example: Green wells will only go up to Purple rarity, but Red wells have a chance of having Legendaries.
Just want to tag on to what all the others are saying. I found your videos incredibly helpful and your commentary very insightful without being preachy. Some of the best gaming help content I have seen (and not just specifically for Ravenswatch). Thanks for your hard work!
@@TheProtesilaus Wow I really appreciate that! It’s awesome to see how many people are picking up this game and have been enjoying the videos, this game has a hard learning curve but gets super rewarding once you understand it
@@positive4ce quick question for you if you have the time: do you find that a run for any character has to have either egg or a card boosting the damage output? Have you ever been able to get away with just rose or ogre's blood?
@@TheProtesilaus I've done some runs that only take defensive options and still works (a lot of defensive options have a type of damage a super effect to help). Also had some runs with only rose and dash charges the ends up doing enough with crazy high crit damage and no flat damage. It is better to stack both together though. Egg isn't necessary for runs, it's just so strong right now that it's normally the best option when you see it

You don't need a teleport point to teleport from somewhere, only to teleport to. That means you can teleport at any time from anywhere to teleport point you previously found.
@@Chrisalead5 oh yeah I might have phrased that wrong in the video, was mainly trying to make the point of finding a teleport before teleportation if you still had things in the area to complete to save on time

Do you have any tips for finding keys for bosses? I saw you in a video precisely pinpointing all possible locations in a given map, which makes me think there is a precise algorithm for key spawns. I usually check the surrounding activities, map borders, etc. but only find them 50% of the time and it's infuriating.
@@FadingZebra I think the link in my description should link to a steam page map for the first chapter. For the first chapter it is normally around an adjacent point of interest but there’s some tricky locations it can be. On recent runs I’ve been trying to ping the locations I think it can be for new players and in a run I will try to check all the locations near a given point as I go to it, some of them are just pretty tricky. Other than that, just comes down to looking at the map or memorizing spots that you see it. Chapter 2 is normally in the immediate surrounding areas but can have some tricky locations across the cliff gaps
Thanks for the video, really helpfull. Just started the game and loving it so far. But didn't really understand why golden coat of chainmail is good on wukong, could you explain a little please?
It use to be a little bet because it made the max damage you can take 30% of your health but now it is 50%. But Wukong takes 100% more damage is his damage dealing stance, making it really easy to be 1 shot in higher difficulties. Golden coat would save you from all of those instances
Some of this stuff changed on full release - I know off the top of my head that well color now directly translates to specific reward rarities. Sweet vid though
@@fizzed87 Thank you! Yeah some of the vid has some outdated information, I might make a pinned comment with all the updated changes to correct some of the information in this video
@@positive4ce yeah, chapter 1 is really hard to get through on nightmare for me. It took me an insane amount of rng luck for me to full clear a run with wukong, but I consistently lose runs from not being able to clear quickly enough in chapter 1 or just too weak to do anything in chapter 2. I honestly thought the side quest was a waste of time in chapter 1 and didnt know how to make it coincide with checking POIs. I think that’s going to be the major game changer. Still though, sometimes it feels like I can’t clear for dick. I usually feel the need to farm stone monkey quest to cheese out aoe damage, but if a POI has trees and spiders, I’m fucked.
