It's not a METAS certified movement. It's a METAS certified watch. COSC certifies uncased movements, METAS certifies whole watches (higher standard).
The argument will last forever. Seiko vs………..on UA-cam now with every single Swiss brand. For this tube i will say, the Tudors are the most ugliest watches that was created via Rolex. Regardless of their movement, for those that can’t afford a Rolex , have on their wrist a boring Tudor. True, so do not deny!
Grand Seiko has innovation ground breaking regarding movements, correct.
Seiko, also has innovation, implemented via Grand Seiko, in their most prestigious lines.
Seiko has been manufacturing their own movements for over a century, with upgraded versions and freely sold to the next bidder, just as the Swiss do with their movements, correct?
Going back to the Rolex, Tudor problem.
No one in this group can actually purchase a brand new Rolex, because the mighty Rolex doesn’t like us buying brand new watches. By all means peoples, go and buy a Rolex today brand new from a Rolex certified dealer. YOU CANT.
That is why you wear a boring Tudor on your wrist.
Watch making, is why most of us “Collectors” own beautiful timepieces. Seiko’s and Rolex being two of them. Unfortunately I own Rolex watches as investments. I personally think the Rolex company, who states are non profit, are if you delve deep into their true ethos, brands, mass purchases of stores, are truly a mass propaganda machine that does one thing, make money and huge amounts of it. Where that money goes is in untaxed, SWISS, BANK ACCOUNTS! Nice movements though.
❤
I think this was an interesting and good comparison. I also think many people aren't looking at these two truly objectively, without pricing factor and brand prestige. There's no doubt the Tudor has the superior movement and clasp, but I think that's all. I personally like the look, feel, function, wearability better on the Seiko. Cheers 🍺
I'd take the Tudor over the Seiko, even at the much higher price, but I have to say that that Seiko case is very appealing and comes close to flipping the ranking!
In this case... of course the Seiko!
The Tudor BB is too chunky (one of the biggest problems with this model!!)... The Tudor is absolute top heavy and not comfortable to wear!! Have tested it 2 times!!!
The Seiko-Body has the better finish, better sizes (smaller and its a GMT!) and over all a much more interesting and "standalone" design! The Seiko is comfortable as hell!
I like both, but the Achilles heel of the seiko is that janky bracelet and awful clasp.Price point means it's still reasonable to replace with an uncle strap or a zulu diver strap.
Interesting comparo - Tudor wins on movement and clasp for sure, but Seiko has more interesting case finishing and it's thinner, even with a date and second time zone. Gimme the Seiko!
Seiko any day . Tudor is boring
Tudor black bay 41mm 2024
One of the most beautiful watches that money can buy
The Shield Protects The Crown
My favorite watches

Tudor black bay Harrods special edition

Tudor Ranger 39mm
Beautiful Amazing Engineering
Absolutely Brilliant
Cheers
Seiko 383J1 for me....What a gorgeous watch👍👏
Agreed.
Is that Seiko Zaratsu polished? Looks similar to Grand Seiko polishing on my opinion
These two watches really show that it costs a lot more money for minor refinements. Yes, the Tutor is 3x the price of the Seiko, but things like the better clasp and bezel action on the Tutor cost money to make.
But, yeah, tudor clasp :
The Seiko dial and case look great. To me, it is much more unique and appealing. That baby Marinemaster case is a work of art. Also, Seiko ergonomics makes this case hug the wrist. However, the Tudor movement is much better. Seiko movements, while not trash, leave much to be desired. Tudor bracelet and clasp also on a different level.
The Seiko has more personality
Seiko 🤤🤤...
Tudor honestly is a joke with the aluminium insert at that price range....it look so dull compare to the even cheaper Seiko. That ceramic bezel make it pop more and feel more premium than it actually is.
I agree. TUDOR is 🗑️ 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Seiko's overwhelming victory
Yeah, you wish...
@@kresimirpleic Tudor is just a fake Rolex. It has no heritage. Unless you are an imbecile, buy a Rolex with the money you bought a Tudor.
Have had the Tudor prefer the Seiko!
Seiko is stunning, looks and feels at least to me, better than Tudor... They just need to reduce the size to like 38-39 max, it's pretty big despite very lovely and acceptable crystal size
Why didnt you use the new Seiko marine master 200 as a comparison?
Inventory didn't' cooperate.
Tudor for sure!
That particular Seiko movement, the 6R54, isn't that easy to regulate, and it has significant variability in different positions. Mine runs about +8 sec per day at the end of the day. I love it, but it was a headache to finally get running well. Tudor has a better movement, and they do the hard work for you from factory. The Tudor movement is much more accurate and consistent between positions.
Like to see your thoughts vs the SPB453
Still waiting to get my hands on one, but will definitely compare them when inventory allows.
That is the much better comparison it's going to be hard
Tudor METAS all day errr day!
Tudor for the win. This one is a winner.
i would pick the seiko if only the 6R movement is not random as hell
Seiko all the way!
Tudor by a mile. Just pure perfection. Quality, comfort, looks, movement. And that bezel sound 🖤
That seiko is Stunning in person also. I tried it on last week at my AD. Tudor wins though for sure
@@peterwoodaman5936 I'm a big Seiko fan. I had and resold 3 MM300! A love-hate story.
“Tudor by a mile” cmon man. Look at both watches. Seiko implementing it’s own movement, actually for over a century. Tudor owned by Rolex are actually sharing movements from other well known brands!
Any one who can guess which brands movement share?
@@Outatime-dx9vs Kenissi's movements are of very high quality. Now, with METAS certification, this is even more true. My Monochrome has been constantly at over 1 sec/day since I got it. I don't care if Norquain and Chanel use Kenissi movements. The entire Swatch group uses ETA parts, even Omega.
Tudor win for sure 😂
Hi Brad can you do the 41mm vs 54mm review please
When inventory cooperates!
Did I miss the diver's extension or you forgot about it?
Would love to root for the Seiko but the movements in these are total garbage. My SPB 143 was sent back and it’s still a dog. Positional variance is +5 to -13spd. Unacceptable when you can buy a $300 Swiss watch with a mass produced ETA that will do much better.
You're lucky that's all it is off. My SPB147 is even worse! 😟
@@4by_yotaguy373 it’s a shame very few UA-camrs talk about this. Seiko accuracy is pathetically bad. I lucked out with this (after “fixed”) and an old Turtle in a way because all the variance seems to balance out on the wrist. That said, put one on a time grapher and you will be blown away at how off these movements can be position to position.
As a previous Black Bay owner, I will now take the Seiko. The Black Bay never clicked with me and I never really enjoyed looking at it. The faux rivets are just annoying ugly and just gave me the meh feeling wearing it.
Mine did, 60 times in fact each time
I hear what you're saying, but I personally like the rivet bracelets. I think it's charming and gives character. That's why I love it on the Oris Divers 65.
I agree TUDOR is Trash 🗑️ 😂😂😂😂😂
The Seiko looks too shiny, almost like a toy watch, I like the seiko case shape better, but Tudor thx
try it in real... you'll take ur words back
gr8 video btw
Thanks for viewing.
Tudor. Still hate the snowflake hand though.
One complaining about the hour hand within seconds. New record
@@RabbitWatchShop 🏌⛳
@@RabbitWatchShop I'm a little bit surpised that there's no "seiko prices are way to high !" :D But, it will come :D
@@darkmishkin I'll be the one to say it. Seiko moved upmarket by charging more whilst offering no improved bracelets and clasps. Their entry and mid-range movements only became marginally better. Their QC has not improved, although Tudor isn't known to have consistently good QC, either. If one can pony up the funds, overall, I think Tudor's offerings are a better value. And with Tudor, you have access to more service centers.
Seiko international has one service center in America. Seiko requires any JDM models to be personally shipped to Japan, because the warranty is only valid in Japan. That sucks. I know this from personal experience. Needed work done on a JDM SBDC101. Seiko told me I needed to ship it to Japan. Instead, I made the repairs myself and parted with it.
Last year, I received another Seiko with bad QC. Had to break the entire watch down to remedy the issue. Never again. I am officially done with Seiko and their shenanigans.
@@darkmishkin my comment was hidden under "newest" lololol. YT censorship at its finest
Even high end Seikos look, feel and wear cheap.
