Watching you always make me smile. If you are offending anyone what can you do 🤷🏻♀️your one of the least offensive people that I watch. And today realised that the reason listening to you is so relaxing is your voice is melodic and I love it! 🌱💚
I couldn't agree more with your no nonsense approach to plant care. I am 72 years old and plants are my hobby. I use fertilizer diluted in my tap water and slow release fertilizer as well. If a plant gets pests that persist after simple treatment, I take a cutting and chuck it in the trash. I have many cacti and succulents which I propogate in soil after callousing, all other plants are propogated in water. Everything except my orchids are in soil. I have about 125 plants and all are thriving. No humidifiers or grow cabinets. I do stay away from plants known to be pest magnets or that need specialized care. I love taking care of my plants because it is fun! Thanks for keeping it real. Love your channel. Give Bernadette and May a hug for me. ❤
Ooh love a painting project! If it’s the 60s/70s faux wood type of paneling I’d make sure and wipe it down really well with something like tsp and use a bonding primer. You can also fill in the little fake gaps with drywall mud and sand it and it will look like a flat wall when you’re done (if that’s what you’re after, you wouldn’t have to). If it is wood trim I’d do about the same you just wouldn’t have to use a bonding primer necessarily. And if you want to send me a picture on Instagram so I know what you’re dealing so I understand correctly with feel free!
Nice favorites. I like your approach to plants. I have a humidifier, but one humidifier can’t supply all the humidity, so I don’t use it. Don’t have a greenhouse cabinet..every genus enjoy the same environment in my home. Now they’re all outdoors & it works. It may take a min for some to adjust, but when they do, it’s easier for me. Thanks for the T😀…it’s appreciated.
I'm with you. My mother grew amazing looking plants and only repotted once in a while and would hose them off on occasion. That's what I'm doing. Happy Spring!
I love your syngonium albo so much- it’s huge and bushy!!! Do you prop cuttings back into the pot to get it so full looking? Mine just vines out. Also, I find your outlook on plant care so refreshing!!! Sometimes people I watch on UA-cam make it so complicated and I get stressed watching because I didn’t even know I was supposed to worry about things like water/soil ph for example and then I go down a rabbit hole. So, thank you for bringing to light why I enjoy plants in the first place- it’s a fun and relaxing hobby that is enjoyable ❤️
Thank you Crystal! I actually didn’t do cuttings back into the pot on the syngonium. At one point I think I potted a few plants into one pot together but eventually I took enough cuttings that I activated a lot of growth points all over the plant so it looks more full. There are soo many stressful plant care rabbit holes I’ve gone down that really just did not make my life or my plants lives any better. So we’re just having fun with them now instead - and they’re actually doing way better! 😂 thanks for watching!
Looks like your favorite plants also really like spring. It's pretty neat that every leaf on the syngonium albo is so different, just like snow flakes. Good thing you're in the plant business and not the plant supply business with the simple approach to plant care. 😃
Love your syngonium! I’ll let you guess my March favorite… my beautiful philo suhastatum! It has a new leaf about to start unfurling 🪴🌱 I am waiting for spring to arrive! I wish I had a greenhouse yours is beautiful! Did you and your husband build it? I use a lil bit of the sulfur every watering, I just put lil bit in my sprayer, I read it’s good for plants, I do not like it on my leaves tho so it’s kinda like a preventative for soil and roots. Love your grand moms approach to plant care! Find it funny that everyone now buys microscopes bc they think they have flat mites… guess amazons making money lol. Have a good week! ~ Shelly~
Thanks for watching Shelly! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the subhastatum! The greenhouse we have was a kit and it was incredibly difficult to figure out and put together so we built it and our families both helped a lot. If we could do it over we’d just stick frame it and add polycarbonate. That would have been so much easier. I’m going to have to try that with the sulfur because I’m really not liking it on the leaves either. Thanks for sharing! Somebody is for sure making money on those microscopes! 😂 like a living plant in a pot of dirt is ever going to be completely free of bugs that you can’t even see.
I love your laid back approach to plant care. I totally agree, taking a simplistic approach makes the hobby more enjoyable!
Thanks for watching! It’s so much more enjoyable this way having tried both approaches! And the plants do better too so it’s a win win! 🪴❤️

Thank you Kathy! So kind of you to say! ❤️🪴
I love your videos and I’m like you, plants don’t need all the fuss, water them and let them grow and enjoy them.❤
Exactly!! They’re supposed to be fun not stressful! Thanks for watching! 🪴❤️
I’m so happy to finally hear someone say, it’s not that complicated!! Totally agree. Your Syn Albo is stunning 🥰💚💚
Thank you!! It’s just yet another life lesson from plants - it’s as complicated as you make it!
@@queencitytropicals Absolutely!! 💚

I love that! I bet all of your plants are gorgeous! 🪴❤️ thanks for watching and sharing about your plants!
Random interior designer question.. painting wood paneling...best way to do it without paint peeling/ looking tacky?

Thanks for watching! Plants really should be making our lives better not more stressful! I bet your plants are loving it outside! 🪴❤️

It really is! It’s hard to get bored of variegated plants because of that! Thanks for watching!
I love syngonium albo too! It was my first uncommon plant. I love how the variegation on each leaf is different. Yours is gorgeous!
Thank you! They’re so neat and every leaf is so different! Very happy to have another syngonium albo lover here! 🪴❤️

Will you be adding PPP to your Etsy shop anytime soon?
I don’t have any going right now so if I do it will definitely be a bit - probably in the summer!
