Dealing with OCD using AAC device- autism

When Kreed becomes obsessive we use his AAC device to keep him busy talking and not trying to hurt himself. As long as he's talking, he can't bite himself. We also model on his device what appropriate language could be and show him other topics he can say as well. He ended up having an awesome day. After a few days of this he normally starts to use those other topics instead of obsessions and his time in meltdown mode is greatly decreased. Yet another reason we love his communication device.

I’m so happy 😃 thank them all the same way they were in their first season and the last one ☝️ we all need more time for this season so they don’t forget to be proud 🥹 to do what they’re always do to keep them in our club for now we are all happy 😆 I can’t believe we got this year so much for them all to celebrate 🙌 thank for everything and I wish I was the best of friends for this club to ever come together for them all the way I know it is all about love 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 this should never 👎🏼 happen in any sport 🏈 and this country will suffer from the same amount if it does happen again this will not end this time we have no respect ✊🏽 and integrity is a problem and the world 🗺️ needs more of these things to happen and the only solution we need now are a boycott to be stopped from all
