Excellent video. I'm on my 2nd round of struggling to change broken sleeves by working off the 1-page instruction sheet. I don't know how I got through it once! This video helped me so much! Thank you for taking the time to do it. I will download it for the next time I need to repair the pole sleeves.
Good video. Grit and dirt do make it a little bit more challenging. Also i misunderstood and replaced all of the top locks first then all of the bottom locks. Each pole has to be done independently, with top lock installed last or it wont slide through the top locks. Otherwise it was about a 2 hour project to complete and Im very grateful for this video.
Just replaced the interlock system in my Titan flagpole after about 10 years of faithful service. I must say, this video makes it look much easier than it actually was. Mine had 10 years worth of dirt and grime built up in the base and the sleeves. It wasn't hard to get apart, just tedious, because I had to work with all the pieces carefully not to burr up the pole itself. All in all though, I have no complaints about my Titan. I hope it last me another 10 years.
Has anyone had any trouble getting the pole out of the mounting sleeve that is in the base, after loosening the clamp my pole will not budge? I sprayed wd-40 around the bottom and used a rubber filter clamp to turn the pole but so far still will not budge..
How about a better way to permanently lock them in place so they don't slide down. Anyone know a better way? I'd be happy if the pole stayed upright all the time, I don't have a need to ever slide them down and I don't want them to slide!
Thanks for very helpful video. I had to only replace the bottom sleeve- and this doesn't require removing the pieces near the top of the pole. Also, as my pole is several years old, pulling out the bottom cap was very difficult. I had to spray some WD-40 and wiggle it loose with locking pliers. If one is gentle raising and lowering the sections then the sleeves should hold up well. On my pole, the bottom cap of the lower sleeve cracked off because the pole was allowed to frequently slide down (with most of the the pole weight) repeatedly hitting that lower sleeve end.
I can't seem to get my flagpole out of the ground sleeve in order to replace the bottom locking sleeve. Any ideas to help would be great. At this point I can't use the pole.
I had the same problem. It just was the fact that it had been in the ground for a long time. I got a couple of my grandson's buddies (he's 20) and we first got it to rotate so it would start to move in the ground sleeve. The we rotated it out of the ground sleeve. Just got to add some good muscle to get it out. Good Luck. PS Before putting it back in I used a scrubbing pad to clean the portion of the pole that goes into the ground sleeve and the interior of the ground sleeve it self.
@@paullinville6998 good advice Paul, thanks! I think the ground around the pole and concrete is still semi-frozen so it might be a good idea to hold off trying to twist and yank it out until spring!🤣 don't want to throw my back out! Appreciate your time and replying.
After struggling several years removing my pole from the in ground mounting tube I installed a rubber 3'' roof vent sleeve at the bottom to prevent debris from going down in it. Works like a charm now. Bought it from Menards for about $3.

Thank you ! This video is very easy to follow.
Thanks for being mindful enough to not let the flag touch the ground.
Just the video I needed for my 25 ft Titan repairs…….. Thanks so much……..

It would be nice if they made these sleeves out of aluminum, instead of this brittle plastic!
Thank goodness for your video! Helped tremendously!

Where do you find the replacement parts! We believe one of our locking one is broke as it wont stay up!
They are guaranteed…you just pay for shipping. We just rec’d ours. Number was on the pole.
Yeah right trying to get the flagpole down is the problem
What are the sleeve locks made of?
Cheap Plastic stops, pretty poor design IMO
Aluminum or plastic locks?
aluminum pipe, plastic locks...
Do the sleeves break a lot?
evidently if they're selling them separately
Buy a Forever
Buy a Forever Flagpole. The lexan locks are guranteed for life.
@@boweebles1 So are these. When they wear out and break, they send out new ones for free.
I’ve had my Titan pole for 5 years and am having to replace my bottom sleeve for the second time. And I rarely lower and raise my flagpole.
Junk! Just don't waste your money
And replace with more plastic crap-------------------------------------
