Merry Christmas 🎄 to you Cathrine and all you're team happy 😊 baking over the Christmas 🎄. Enjoy your Christmas 🎄 break. I can't stop looking on UA-cam to see all you're Baking you are fantastic. I have to give you 10 stars ✨ in many ways. Thank you 😊
Baking is a lot harder than cooking. Theres a lot of trial and error. I suggest start at the simple recipes like bun/queen cakes and master that, then expand. Once you have it, baking will be a breeze. Best of luck
Great tutorial apple tart. I'm Irish And wanted to make an apple. You're a Great teacher thank you. Do you have a video For basic Irish scones. Thanks,
@@georgedixon9863 It is nonsense! The lady in the video, is showing how to make a traditional Irish apple tart. In Ireland an apple tart has a pastry base and lid. Everyone home and bakery in Ireland makes apple tarts this way. It's not my fault you and the other commenter doesn't know this. What country are you from?
Cathrine I love ❤️ the way you make the apple 🍎 tart it is Fantastic job. Golden ⭐️ to you. Merry Christmas 🎄 Question do you have anything 📚 on 👨🍳 in the Eason's Dublin
Question Cathrine why do you put sugar on top on the 1st lot of the Apple 🍎 before you put the 2nd apple 🍎 on top sugar???? 2nd Question is that not to much sugar to put in the apple 🍎 tart.???? Before you cook 👨🍳 the Apple 🍎 tart. I would like to hear 👂 your views on these Questions.
2 tablespoons of sugar in total is what catherine uses and thats the normal amount she puts one on `1st layer of apples and then on second so that it spreads evenly...
When cooking my tarts i put lots of sugar but it always creates a sugary sauce left on the plate is there any way i could stop that from happening?? I also peel my apples and use lemon juice to avoid browning and makes them taste nicer too in my opinion
You should try tossing your apples in a little cornflour that way the juices will thicken a little and don't put all the liquid from the apples in the pie
I'm living in America and we can't get the sour juicy "cooking" apples here, any suggestions on what I can use instead? Tried Granny Smith's but it was disappointing (crust was great).
Yes. They look like bramley cooking apples to me. Also if you look at the finished tart they've gone down to a semi-stew. Cooked eating apples don't do that - they stay whole and chewy.
Use a wooden spoon. It is the same temp as the knife obviously! 🙄Also wood insulates, metal doesn’t. A knife will transfer heat from your hands. Wood won’t.
Who cares how she sounds?! I'd rather see the likes of Catherine on Irish tv, she's REAL, unlike some other cooks and presenters with notions talking shite 🙄

Just use regular desert apples, they also work well in apple tart, but add less sugar
That's a shame ,in September I help myself to cooking apples in a churchyard near me or go to memorial gardens and gather some there
WHERE CAN YOU BUY THE GRATER
I've looked for it everywhere online but can't find it :(
Is it plain flour is it 8 oz
Lovely but I would need three times more custard!
What temperature with a fad oven
How much butter ya thanks
On another video you wrap it in clingfilm and put it in fridge for a half hour. So which is it???
😊
Is the bottom soggy?
Can you just bake the pie in any plate?
Yes as long as it is oven proof. I use an enamel plate because metal is a far better conductor of heat.
Jos and Toady 😀TV
great but you did not say how much butter
Are they cooking apples
Yes. They look like bramley cooking apples to me. Also if you look at the finished tart they've gone down to a semi-stew. Cooked eating apples don't do that - they stay whole and chewy.
Oven! You need an oven?
Sorry yes you did
Cold butter is nonsense unless you're making puff pastry.
No salt? Interesting.
Whats her name

That pie is burnt, i like mine light brown
Yes it's over done ,I would milk wash it before going in the oven

Just to let you know that a tart does NOT HAVE A "LID" on it. You have made A PIE..
Apple tart makes you fart
Oh man, give it a rest, we call it tart ok??????😅
