You forgot to mention that Brooklyn hid it in Quinn's dirty laundry, AND cleaned it up, only for Quinn himself to go in and realize "my bag is too clean. Something is up."
I remember being legitimately concerned about his stalker behavior that season and I never feel that way about houseguests. That night that he positioned himself so he could watch Amber through the bedroom door while she was hanging out with Cody was one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen on the show.
Another thing I noticed watching this video. Not only has the winner of Hide and Go Veto never gone on to win their Big Brother season, but the winner of Hide and Go Veto is usually one of the most popular houseguests of their season. Britney, James, Jason, Brett, and Tommy were all some of the most popular houseguests on their season. Daniele from BB8 was probably one of the most popular BB8 houseguests, too.
Brett’s idea of defense was to pile as many things on his Veto card as possible while Brooklyn’s idea of defense was to put 2 mattresses near her Veto card and then trash other rooms for no reason.
I feel like that strategy would be hard to replicate since everyone that watched BB20 would recognize it and search knowing there's almost certainly a chip there.
if I get on Big Brother I'm asking the producers if ripping off tiles and fixtures is allowed, because I'm surveying this house for hide'n'go veto spots since day one
If we're talking pre-planning I'm immediately looking for tape on like day 1 or 2. If this comp comes up tape it to the bottom of a permanent fixture (immovable table) that has no other ways you could hide something there. That or abuse the fact that I'm 6 foot 3 and just tape it somewhere excessively high up (stand on top of the fridge and tape it to the walls, why would anyone check the walls 15 feet above the ground?)
@@nicjoy4407 I always tell my bro that if I ever get into the house, Im making a batch of flour glue in week 4 or 5 so that when hide and go veto comes around, i can use the glue to stick my veto someplace inconspicuous! The other houseguests will just think i like to do arts and crafts when i bust out the flour glue, but they won't know its real purpose.
Tucker has not only entered the house first, but he also won the 5th HOH, and now he's won Hide and Go Veto. Maybe the curses will cancel each other out and he'll win Edit: I get it, y'all can stop telling me I was wrong now 😭
@@ethanuy2261 He also got the curse where all HoH's that win the veto and use it to remove one of their initial nominations from the block never win the game. I guess among all the curses this one made the most sense strategic wise to explain why they cannot win lmao-
bb26 is such a well studied cast, tucker carrying so many curses yet staying in the house while brooklyn is referencing brett and is friends w aaryn - there are so many connections
Rockstar's daughter's birthday not even included, Brett's genius and hilarious hide and go veto win is enough reason to give him a place in All Stars 3 I say.
Brooklyn messing things up didn't really end up helping, because like 20 minutes later everyone in the house came to Tucker saying it was obviously Brooklyn. It was funny seeing Tucker pretend he knew the whole time though.
im pretty convinced the rules for hide n go veto got changed from season 21 to season 26, they didnt destroy the kitchen at all so i think they were told they couldnt hide it there anymore.
Sam's reaction to the mess (and the rest of the players concern over her reaction to it) is an understated extra element to making BB20's hide and go veto comp the best one by far!
My favorite thing about this year's hide and go competition is that the collective alliance accidentally cannibalized themselves, allowing Joseph and Tucker to be the last 2 on the competition.
20:07 It’s so boring that I’ve forgotten multiple times just this week alone that BB20 wasn’t actually the last Hide and Go Veto. I think I read/heard a comment one time that said Brett broke the comp and that’s it hasn’t been brought back, and I just internalized it. Which is sad that a random comment about BB20’s comp is more memorable to me than anything from BB21’s comp.
Hide and go veto is one of my favorite competitions on Big Brother. I'm so glad that they brought it back. I love the way they do the competition, IMO.
I think there’s a Hide and Go Veto curse. The people that won Hide and Go Veto: Daniele, Britney, Hayden/Victoria, James, Paulie, Jason, Brett, Tommy all didn’t WIN the game! Let’s see if Tucker does or doesn’t win this season! Edit: I commented that before I noticed Ethanimale mentioned it at the end :)
There's a really good reason they can't all be searching at once... all alliances would tell each other where they hid their cards... the reason BB12 worked was because it wasn't for gameplay advantage
I think my favorite thing was JC telling Sam that he thinks she shouldn’t go in the house. He was absolutely right because she was not happy with any of them!🤣
If I were ever on big brother, I my hiding place would be not inside the fridge, but behind it. You gotta either have small hands like mine to grab it, or you gotta be strong enough to move an entire fridge in 2 minutes
dude if i ever played bb this is like the one comp i would dread just bc i think i would CRASH TF OUT if the house was a mess or if someone threw my shit everywhere oml
My favorite part of the last one was Joseph cleaning up. I think what annoyed people about James was how blatantly he always played for the cameras by his second season, between this veto and the pranks, to try to get another win for AFP. Brett was a camera hog too, but he managed to seem more natural, somehow.
I’m really happy they took a bit of a break with it. That’s what they should do with all their iconic comps. Have them for a few seasons, and then go a few seasons without them. They won’t get stale. This recent endeavor was very nice.
If they're going to add a twist to Hide and Go Veto, in addition to the last player whose card remains hidden winning the veto, the first player whose card is found should have to clean the entire house until it is spotless, after everyone has messed it up.
Something I’ve always thought of regarding Hide & Go Veto is what the limits really are. We haven’t seen a houseguest hide them upstairs, in the storage room, or the DR so far and I’ve wondered if those are rooms that are off limits in this competition.
DR is probably off-limits for either being "too meta" or to keep equipment save, upstairs for being a safety hazard when the whole point is sprinting through the house and storage probably to prevent literally everything from getting made into a mess
Me and my mom are watching the latest season and had just watched the latest Hide and Go veto comp. Us not having had our fill of BB, we also are watching BB season 8 as well. We just happened to be on the episode where they ALSO played this comp. Quite serendipitous lol
I have a question about the rules of HAGV -- if a houseguest finds another houseguest's card while hiding their own, does that count or will they both get a chance to re-hide? It looks like the closest this came was with Michie and Nicole (S21), or has this happened previously and it not been shown?
anyone remembers s24 when someone said don't vote me out cause this season boring etc. this season in a nutshell ngl. the only people are evicted as of now after tucker being voted out.
for paulie, there’s no way u are proving to the producers u can hide that thing in there when u have to manually move a giant glass disk with the help of others, if it was 1 person that thing would have shattered
If I was in the hide and go veto competition I would: Hide the thing in the open Move other people things to try and get someone to take themselves out
I always sama the thought ever time this com competition happens. Why dose know hied it up stairs in the toilet! I mean would you drop your hand in the toilet for a veto card?
Big Brother is so underrated nowadays, it stands out from everything in its genre. Survivor should end soon, it tries far too hard to be ambitious but becomes too bland. Big Brother IS truly ambitious and interesting because of this new AI twist and not every episode is eviction night.

-won week fives HOH
-won Hide and Go Veto
