I'd be interested to know how you partake in weed consumption (vaping, tinctures, etc.) for mental health. I feel like it's really easy to accidentally pick the wrong strain and I'd love to hear what works for you.
Look for strains labeled as Indica for a calmer buzz and sativa for an upper buzz. If you want the calm effect without the high then focus on CBD based products rather than THC. After that its trial and error for how your body reacts.
I take edibles/smoke flower to help me fall asleep. Indica will most of the time give you that sleepy vibe, Sativa can sometimes make you want to talk a lot/do stuff but it depends on the person as well. So I would try both and see how you react to them. Hybrids are nice if you're in between. 5mg is my max most nights which is why edibles are nice.
I have a 10 mg:10mg THC:CBD tincture I put under my tongue for 30 seconds when I either feel an anxiety attack coming, If i need help sleeping, etc. I live in Cali as well so this type of tincture is easy for me to get safely and legally. It has the effect of a really really light high but with an immediate reduction in my brains stress response. It also works immediately. I also have edibles, but realized those don't work well for me (I either don't feel anything or get WAY too high) and they also take ~1 hour to kick in. I have also used high concentration CBD cream for anxiety and headaches - I just massage a tiny amount into my temples and hairline. So If you happen to live in an area where THC is illegal and CBD is not, I recommend that. I personally am not a fan of vaping due to its impacts on respiratory health (it always dries my throat and makes me cough) but there is something to be said about 1 or 2 small hits from a pen giving a similar effect to the tincture.
The app is beyond affordable and you guys were gracious to throw in some discounts for longer subscriptions! I purchased my year and week one is down! Loved your guides but the app is a game changer! The type A persona in me loves checking off the exercises and seeing that completed list! Thanks for sharing your passion with us, love your tips & the realness. 🖤

The app is worth every penny and super affordable... not only that, but it’s better than anything else out there. I started with a month to get myself back into it and plan to upgrade to a full year.

I love that barriers and stigmas are being broken more and more especially in the exercise community. I’m an avid smoker and have been using the Mari home guides during the pandemic and I’ve lost 40 pounds.

Since you are a lot in to food, healt and diet, and that you guys are now cooking together. I think it would be very nice and informative to have some kind of a little cooking show where you teach us nice healty recipes. It would be fun to watch you guys together cooking, but it would also give us some meals ideas. Mari’s salads have even become a thing on instagram. Anyways, i think often people wants to eat healty, but after two days gets bored, because they don’t really know so much healty and lean meals to do at home. I don’t know if it’s the hair skin nails or fish oil, but since I started taking them daily I don’t itch after getting out of the shower or sweating anymore. it was miserable! So thankful for the supplements hydrating me from the inside out.

I’m 5’5 and about 170 lbs 😬 I definitely put on a lot of quarantine weight, but I’ve told myself I refuse to go up in dress/ pant size and get back into my normal fitting clothes. That’s my main goal but I do want to push myself to lose even more. My goal is to get to 130lb by June wish me luck! I’m a week in and I’ve never been more dedicated to my diet and workout routine, all because of you! ❤️

My question would be how to adjust a healthier lifestyle and exercising for a RN who works overnights in a pretty busy emergency department and more snack based/on-the-go snacking/meals. When I was a firefighter paramedic on a fire department , working out and eating healthy was much easier before now! (especially with the stress of COVID, and different sleep schedule).. I would welcome any advise. I am having a very hard time

I went on anti depressants earlier this year and did not like the way they made me feel after about 9 months I’ve decided to stop taking them and just eat better, work out, take my vitamins and when I’m really feeling anxious or in my feelings I’ll eat a little piece thc chocolate at night 🍁💆🏻♀️
I had an eating disorder and you guys have really helped me start eating actual meals, so thank you for that first of all! However, Even doing up body, lower body days and cardio i don’t see any progress on my stomach area and lower back. Any tips?

For question 2 about plateauing. Including refeed days or maintence calorie weeks prevents your metabolism from reducing to prevent that issue.
