Who do you think sets the prices of their products? It's big businesses and corporations and they are the ones that are price gouging American consumers not politicians. For example the big oil companies are the richest welfare recipients in the country because they made billions of dollars in profit and we subsidize them with our tax money and they got a big tax cut on top of that and then they price gouge all of us on gas. Big Oil shouldn't be getting welfare from the American taxpayers and the same goes for pharmaceutical companies that price gorgeous on medications when they get tax subsidies from us also. Businesses can charge any price they want because it's called capitalism. Now if you want the politicians and the government to go after businesses for price gouging that would be a start.
