You absolutely have to dip that sandwich in the Chick-fil-A sauce
If you come back and are in the southwest of the US, get breakfast burritos and some salsa. They are the best breakfasts. Or southern biscuits and sausage gravy (milk gravy)
You need British-style beans such as Heinz which come in a tomato sauce. I believe American beans such as Bush's come in a BBQ sauce? I'll have to acquire some American beans some time and do a comparison.

Breakfast burritos are my favorite fastfood breakfast item.
I have a Whataburger near me in Texas and their breakfast on a bun is good. Either sausage patty with egg and cheese on a hamburger bun or bacon with egg and cheese.
When you go to a Popeyes thats out of something you know youre in America
You definitely need to try the chicken sandwich from Popeyes. It caused an uproar. It was so popular they were constantly running out of inventory. It was several months before I tried it, and I then understood the hysteria 😁
Thanks for the tip! Popeyes now have a few locations in the UK and I've now tried the chicken sandwich here, and honestly it's not great. I wonder if they're using a different recipe here or something because it's not worth the hype I've seen... We'll have to try the US version next time we're there.
@@TravelSoGood it could very well be different. I’m sure it’s not cost effective to send the supplies from here to there. I’m guessing they have a contractor/supplier over there that probably does thing a little different than here. Most likely out of necessity I’d guess. Might not be able to get the necessary ingredients to make them identical
I waited almost 3 hours for that sandwich when it first came out and so don’t regret a thing!

Popeye's spicy chicken sandwich is the way to go at Popeye's.
If you're going to Popeyes for the first time you Should go with the Fried Chicken!! I mean after all that's why they are there

I know this video is 5 months old but it just showed up in my suggested videos. You two are awesome and when it came to you trying some American fast food for the first time I really enjoyed your reactions. New UA-cam buddy here and I offer you this. If you ever come to the Denver area I will make you the best bbq food you have ever had. If you don't like bbq then I will make you anything better than any fast food place. Popeye's biscuits are an affront to home made biscuits.
Popeyes now have stores in the UK. I had a biscuit from them this week and it was awful! Never again.
@@TravelSoGood Yeah, I really hate that 'foreigners' think that's what real biscuits taste like. They should be light and fluffy soft inside, not crunchy with a fake butter taste. Hope you can dig into a real one somewhere, load it with butter and jam and enjoy.

I kind of get the sick taste from Arby's too! I mean, it's still edible and I'll get one a few times a year, but there is indeed a distinct sort of bile taste to it. It's...offputting, but not enough to put me off a beef and cheddar altogether lol. They do have nice buns, too.

That's one thing unique to today workforce. When I was you (before retirement) I think a fast food place only got my order wrong once in 40 years. Today it is at least 50% of the time. I guess the younger generations don't care to do a good job or are just not intelligent enough to read items from a computer screen and put them in a bag.
Next time you have a biscuit , put honey on it .
An American biscuit is not a scone. It may look similar, but it's not the same thing at all.
True! I think I made that comment before I tasted one. The only similarities are how they look, that they contain flour and are baked. Otherwise, they're different products.
McDonald's changed their recipe so if you get their regular burgers/Big Macs they might taste the same but with different ingredients but if you go for the Quarter Pounder it does taste juicier and different.
I can't remember getting a wendy's burger always get Chili their chocolate frosty.. Or their baked potatoes.

American burger Swiss is melty like American cheese, and as comparable to Swiss as regular American is to Cheddar. There is regular Swiss cheese here, too, of course.
Oh good to know. I thought I was going crazy! I was expecting the sliced cheese with the holes in it so was confused by the gloopy stuff I was given.

I think there are a couple of options, but nothing to tempt us! The UK definitely has better vegan options than the US though
Everybody who comes to America and tries Wendy's always gives the same reaction... wow this is actually good and doesn't really taste like fast food as far as fast food goes it's hard to top Wendy's quality versus price
It was pretty good! Wendy's have started opening restaurants in the UK now but live bit managed to go to one yet. Maybe one day I will
I like Wendy's and Chic Filet. I like Arby's but not the beef and cheddar. I just want the beef with the horsey sauce. Wendy's chili is a favorite of mine too. Havr you tried Steak and Shake?

Chick Fil A opened a store in Reading but were run out of town by protesters bc of financial contributions to conservative anti-lgbtq politicians in the US. The store closed.
I didn't know this at the time of filming but have learned of their anti-LGBT attitude since. It's such a shame when companies do that. Needless to say I won't be eating there again!

It's only unhealthy if you eat a lot of it (which to be fair, we did in this video!). We do generally eat healthy outside of UA-cam though - we eat this type of stuff maybe once or twice a month at most. Everything in moderation

Dunkin’ Donuts has awesome breakfast croissants, you can get them with either bacon, egg and cheese or sausage and cheese and their hashbrowns are seasoned an awesome
