Great Video. With Birmingham if you just changing trains the B end of the platform is better to change and you don't have to put your ticket thought the barriers twice. The beach looks lovely as well. Bacon and Cranberry... that a combination that I never seen before!

I’ve taken an EMR 222 from Sheffield to Leicester and back in 1st. I thought it was okay. Certainly better than the XC Voyager I took in other parts of my journey. Just couldn’t get the wi-fi to work at all. I had some snacks and drinks on both trains.

The Royal Border Bridge is epic when seeing up close. It's annoying that the CrossCountry Train was full and standing. Looking forward to the rest of the series

Some say that riding on First Class is very expensive but others don’t mind paying for going First Class.

Heathrow Express first class was so much better before GWR ruined it by replacing the 332s with the 387s. Also worth noting that the 387s for Great Northern and Gatwick Express are identical. The GN ones were cancelled Southern units, and then the Gatwick ones were part of the order with the seats made red, accents made blue, and i believe a couple extra luggage racks. Its also worth pointing out that the 377/6s and /7s for Southern ALSO have the same interior. But I don't know if they fitted those with "First Class". Finally, all operators covered in this video have no guards, so you'll never get ticket checked. The only chance of it is revenue inspector checks in peak times. I'm not advocating for it, but there's not much stopping one sitting in First Class on these trains with a standard class ticket. (Also, G says hi 😂)

Those Grand Central Class 180 DMUs were built in the year 2000 to 2001 but Grand Central have put a new order in for new trains, no idea what they will be but those Class 180s will be replace sometime in the future. Great video and don't blame you for bailing at York

I've done filming when I was ill and can agree that it not fun! Think the last time that I felt like that was the final week of the Class 323s in the Midlands. Great video

Not really a fan of Aberdeen Station but I do like the Highland Mainline. Did a crazy day and spent 16 hours in one day and visiting all those Railway Stations between Inverness and Perth. Great video.

11:21 Cowcaddens. I stayed in that area a few times before in The Travelodge. You can get some good prices in advance for that hotel as well. The walk is good but the subway station isn't too far away. Great video

as someone who suffers from chronic sinus and middle ear issues, those changes of pressure experienced in the tunnel can be agonizing. You were lucky to have the rover ticket that allowed you to jump off. This video reminds me of regrets of not getting up to York to explore the city and that beautiful station. I have only had one transfer there and it was far to short an interval

You were lucky to get an HST Glasgow-Inverness as substitutions are becoming more common with the poor availability of HST's. I enjoyed this film with the walk round Inverness - I have spent an hour between trains in Inverness a few times and a good walk and café are possible in that time.

Beverley Looks like a nice town to visit & wouldnt mind visiting one day & im not a fan of the class 180s that are used by Grand Central i remember when they were with GWR years ago & GWR got ride of them because they are so unrealiable & everytime i caught one the train was always late brilliant vlog
