By using UA-cam as my online classroom, I was able to learn how to DoorDash more effectively. That's why I was inspired to make this channel in the first place. I want to be a source of knowledge for my subscribers, just as so many other UA-camrs were for me.

Hope everyone is staying safe while Dashing! :)
are you going buy doordash lol
I hate when they leave vague instructions for big apartment complexes like uhm excuse me????
Jasmine Guevara yeah that’s the worse
Yeah, such a major time sink when you could be doing more deliveries...
Or when they don’t even give instructions. Just the unit number
Julio Michelle then some unit numbers don’t even be on the building 🤦🏽♀️
"Just keep going after the gate, youll see it" .................. NO, you ordered at 9pm and none of the building numbers have lighting. Seethingly wanted to make those people my 1st cancel but they are so used to it, without improving their system of navigation like landmarks to look for, that they, as well as the driver, just have to deal with it. smh
$6.50 bonus pay is crazy, most I’ve seen is $3:(
It definitely depends where you are, but I hope my tips still help regardless of where you dash!
I just got a $10 !!!!!! About a week ago !!! Illinois
Sofia Ceballos holy... 😱 please send those over to the rest of us! Haha
I seen one video where the dude had a $15 bonus pay 😲😎
I’ve had $17 bonuses
I don’t know why he doesn’t clarify this misunderstanding. The amount you get pay depends on where you live. Don’t expect to make as much as this guy if you live in a small city/town.
You make a good point! I didn't realize this was something I should clarify while filming, so that's why it's not in the video. But I hope that my tips can at least improve your numbers no matter where you are.
true cuz you can normally make $200 to $300+ a day in big cities, but smaller towns I have to work longer days to make half that
I’ve never gotten a delivery over $11, and I’m from a small town
You really have to make sure you’re not driving very far
I dont make this much around my area. I dont have heat maps close together. My area is the closest area from over an hour away in Maryland. We dont get bonuses more than like $1.50-$2.00
I dash since monday. The most bonus ive had is 1$. Im on a BIKE i find a hotspot i cycle there and wait but no order comes then it just goes away. Sometimes i cycle 10min and as i arrive the hotspot goes and someone already coming out with a hotbag! Its unfair for bikers i m new here and dont have a driving license. My peak order was 8$ everything included. And that was a 30min bike ride.
I’ve watched many full time dasher videos for tips . And this is THE BEST , THE ONE THAT SETS ONE UP FOR SUCCESS THE MOST ! Thank you for your extremely valuable information. I’m so grateful! Thank you !
Really wish we have doordash in my country. Great video bro. Clear video, super crisp audio and great edit. Stay safe out there
Your Average FragHead thank you!
I make about $800 a week dashing. However, my average order is $8. I never get an order for more than $14, and that’s really rare. Like 2 per month.
It certainly varies by market, but $800 is killer! Nice job 💪
What area are you in?
Nick Hill if you’re asking me, I’m in Utah.
@@matthewglosenger3180 Yes I am. Are you in a bigger city? And how many hours do you work on average?
Nick Hill I do live in a bigger city though not as big as California.
I worked 77 hrs last week. Made $1200
The biggest tip I can give any Dasher is to not rely on these types of videos, thinking the same will apply to you.
What I mean by this is that though the tips in this video, and others, are very helpful, they won’t apply the same to every Dasher. Not all areas provide Dashers with high payouts, or good hotspots, where you’ll receive multiple orders. In other words, some areas are very good for dashing, and some aren’t.
I have dashed in multiple States (CA, UT, AZ), and they all differ in how it’s ran regarding what you will most likely be getting paid per hour. CA has high peak pays, but when dashers log on during those times, sometimes you’ll only get 1 order per hour due to there being an overload of dashers in the area (even despite what the app says as “very busy”), so that high peak pay means little to nothing. Other areas you might be getting orders like crazy, but with no peak pay, but due to the amount of orders you receive, you still might be averaging well over $20/hr. It really just depends on the area.
My experience in the areas I mentioned above, AZ is the best. Despite it not having peak pays very often, I receive a lot of order per hour, and average $23/hr. CA (San Diego) is second place. Very big peak pays, several times a week, in almost every area of the county, and sometimes I would make $40+/hr., but that was not consistent. Most of the time during the peak pays, I would only receive 1 order in the hour, which made my hourly average drop, so although the area has high peak pays frequently, the orders don’t come through consistently. Third place is UT. The residents there tip like crap, hence there is a low chance of even making $18/hr. Shame on the people there!
Really appreciate how you didn’t shoot this on your phone. The quality makes s big difference.
L Faker son No problem! So glad you appreciated it 👍 Thank YOU
I just did my first dash today! I was super stoked this is great advice for my next deliveries i make thanks so much! 😊
My 1st day was this past Sunday and opted to do a midday and evening shift at about 3hrs each and made $225- was a nice 1st day
Beachdudeca Big shoutout to cyberdesecurity on Instagram they are the G.O.AT 🐐🐐🐐🐐
Wow! I need to dash in a different city 😳
Lol you are fuking delusional 😂🤣😂🤣......around $37 an hour on ur first day YEA FUKING RIGHT 😂.....maybe if you had a Lambo, sped like a nascar driver, knew ur town like the back of ur hand, and there was never anybody in the drive thru and your food was ready immediately EVERY TIME
@@giraffreythegiraffe8432 damn chill out dawg
@@AP-to9me I would if dudes didn't make up straight bullshit 🤣
Putting in the address manually will also allow you to see the street view of most locations. That allows you to see what the house/apartment/business looks lie before you get there so if there is no # on the house or the mail box doesn't have clear numbers. It's helped me several times, especially at night.
Awesome tip! Thank you for sharing 👍
Great video dude your killing it 😁🤙
Awesome video bro! Stay safe out there 👍
Comment for the algorithm :) Keep it up!
Hunter Ashley this comment is the best thing since 2020 started haha
Thanks for all of your wonderful information!
Love the tips!! Thank you! 😉
i live in charlottesville, VA and just started dashing a couple days ago. sometimes the area is either just really slow or too concentrated with other dashers already working. i tried an 11-2:30 shift today and didn’t get any orders from 11-12 but from 12-2:30 i was able to get in 6 orders and make $40. i’m gonna try that starting a dash only once i’ve reached a hot spot tip. thanks for this man
Thanks for sharing your experiences Rohann. I hope I could help!
I'm about to go do my first dash, thanks for the tip bro!!!

this is actually well thought out! i love your tips :)
Solid advice for anyone just starting out. I've only been dashing for a few weeks but the one thing I'd point out; u may not want to end dashes after every order. I've personally never seen a peak promo that had a certain percentage required. But either way, I know in some areas like mine, the busy 'red' areas come and go. And promo time slots fill up instantly. The other day I was scheduled for a +$5.00 promo. The area itself wasn't busy anymore but I was locked in at +$5. I mistakenly ended my dash while trying to pause it and not only was I unable to get back a time slot at the promo rate, I couldn't even dash regularly in the area anymore. It was no longer red and no dashers were needed. I had to drive 10 miles to the next red zone, and sure enough by the time I got there it was no longer red either. Went home for the day, meanwhile I only did 1/3 scheduled hours. All due to ending my dash. Some areas may be easier to jump right back in if they're busier, but out here you don't want to end your dash unless you're willing to stop for the day.
Oh wow, nice job sir
This is like a system we have over in the UK called Deliveroo and whenever we are in a fast food establishment, we would see them come in and we would wonder what goes into something like that but I agree, it's a great way of making money
Ian Poole's Transport Travels I used a lot of deliveroo when I studied abroad!!
The usa has lots of apps like doordash. Good for teenage jobs.
Thank you sir! I will do.
I can’t wait to start. Waiting on my activation kit in the mail. Awesome video by the way.
Branda SAR Thanks for the comment, Branda :) good luck and stay safe!!
How long did it take to receive your activation kit?
JmaCruiseControlfc 2-3 days and you don’t h\ave to wait for it to drive
That's a great idea dude never knew about it thanks for sharing
Beatuzic - Piano Covers no problem! I hope it was helpful
hi i love your videos and the quotes you put at the end of each video haha !
Thank you, Joowon! I'm so glad you're enjoying those. I love writing them down every time
Sounds fun, thanks!
Thank you for your time to show us how to make more money
Great tips! My only complaint is with every DD vid I've watched, they never include COSTS. This includes taxes, gas consumption, mileage/ wear and tear on your vehicle, and just the risk factor involved driving around in traffic. I was rear-ended while Ubering and lost my NEW car for 3 months, not to mention its loss of value, so that's a biggy for me. I learned the hard way. Cheers.
Get insurance that pays for a rental until your car gets fixed. I used it for four days. P.S. Buy the rental cars insurance. Trust me on that.
Nice video,
I have a question about tip #6.
You said to get the bonus pay you must Complete 80% of your orders.
Then, you are explaining how to keep your Acceptance rate up to maintain this.
These are two different metrics.
Completion rate is only lowered if you unassign an order you've already accepted, or any other order that doesn't get delivered for some reason.
So, which is it that you have to worry about? Completion or acceptance?
Great Video lots of good information.
Thanks man!
Nice video!
Hello from Toronto, Canada!! Love watching your videos Matthew!!! Keep up the awesome work that you do!!! :D
Cheers,
Danny
Hello from California! Thank you so much for the message, Danny. It's greatly appreciated.
Matthew, I like your quote on the board. ✊🏽
Thanks my man! I'm glad you found some value in it too
This was a great video Matthew! Great to see another Bay Area content creator :) I primarily make videos about my Tesla Model 3.
Thanks Jay, I appreciate it man
I felt you when you said the introverted side of you made you want to stop that's how I am as well as soon as I know the vibes are off I will stop. I just barely started doordashing July 19th and I did only one just to test it out. Then I officially started doing deliveries on the 20th repeatedly so far I've made a little over $300. Thanks for the helpful tips. I haven't really had a negative situation but of course I know at some point there will be one. I just know that if I'm not feeling it then I will end my dash because I do have my social limit. And once I hit that limit I have to retreat until I can recharge myself to be out in public again. This is why I kind of like the 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. shift because there's no traffic it's less people. Less of a line of course depending what it is. And most of the time people just want you to leave their orders at the door. I always make sure to text him to let them know my ETA and most of the time they will be outside which is great because some residences are very dark and people have animals. And sometimes orders are people that live in the back houses or the side of the house so I love it when they come out and meet me halfway so I don't have to do all of that. That also saves precious minutes that I can utilize for another delivery. Thank you so much
i enjoyed your video. i am about to start dashing in new york city
Thanks for the comment, Sean, and stay safe!
Last week I made $2500 dashing which is really good for these crazy times
Damn! I'm impressed. Congrats on getting that coin my man 💪

I’m a baby dasher, I just started three weeks ago & I love ittttt! Thank you for sharing 😊🙌🏽
I just started a few weeks ago but I’ve been averaging about $25-$30 an hour, I need these tips to step my game up cuz I live in a really busy area and I KNOW I could be making more!
Yo my dude!! I was at town and country today too was so swell.
..Thanks Matthew for the tips !!! Very helpful 😀👍🏻
No Problem! I'm so glad you found it helpful 👌
I love this dude's video. Well organized

i really like your video. it helps a lot. What kind of car is the best for doordash?
Im doing this since lock down and make $1100 a week as a second job. Its absolutely worth it during the epidemic.
That's awesome man. Which state?
Nice helpful video!
I have been super impressed with Door Dash since i picked it up in late April. Here in Canada it is catching on. Last Wednesday night I had a slow start then from 5:30 to 8:15 I made $80. Best promos I have seen are $8.50 per delivery.
Very good tips thanks
Jonmanuel Olivares-Alvarez of course! Thank YOU for the comment
HiHi ..just wanted to say --->

i can get, lol! I've already liked
and subscribed.
..stay healthy and safe!!
Great tips. Definitely varies by market. I have never made more than $16 on an order. I’ve also never seen peak pay over $4.
That's true, it definitely varies by market. But I hope the tips were helpful, and can make your dashing more efficient despite where you're located
I just started but yeah the biggest order I've gotten was $11 and the most peak pay I've seen is $3 for midnight to 2am shift smh
@@SuperRainbowpoop Keep grinding my man! It will all pay off.
I've seen a 7 dollar peak pay, but still never made more than like 18ish per order
The Midwest is super cheap. They want you to drive 15 miles for $3.50. Cars don't run on fairy dust and my time is valuable. You have to wait around for the orders that pay good enough for 15-30 minutes of your time.
Really good video !
Thank you my man!
I noticed you're pretty new to the youtube scene. Can you make a video about what goes into making a video and how you go about in making and editing your videos
Yes! Since this channel is focused on investing, I'm actually going to be making a second channel talking all about UA-cam. It probably won't be up for another month or so, but make sure to stay tuned on THIS channel, because I'll be shouting it out here
Good vid man
Thanks Mase!
This was such an informative video, thanks
No problem! I'm so glad it helped
Excellent video
Thanks Bradley!
Quality video 😤
Thanks Pablo, I appreciate it bro
Good tips I started today did about 6 1/2 hours made $104 1:30 to 5:30 and then 7:00 to 9:30 I was happy
3:47 yooo wtf I use to work on that apartment complex. Painting the entire building and wooden fence
😂😂
Where is it. What city and state
you've been doing this for a year now, do you calculate mileage and all that for taxes or no?
I mean I already knew all these guide that you provided us but, nice feedback just to remind me
I love how you add memes into your videos!! Gotta love em'! 😆
I've been doing this thing for almost two months now and this video still helped lol I've been looking for one of these tips
What do you do when its slow in a hotspot? How long do you wait? How long do you drive around?
I'd wait maybe 5-10 minutes before I decide to drive to an actual "hot spot" indicated on the DoorDash map by the fire icon - I hope this helps!
I waisted a lot of gas getgi g to a hotspot, just to get a dash were I was sitting. I am learning to enjoy the time in between good dashes and be patient.
Thx!
I’m almost Positivr that tough apt complex was in Sharon Heights, I hate that complex lol
It is!! Hahaha, that's hilarious
Today my first day good tips
The rates yesterday were insane here in the Cleveland area 12 dollar bonuses for 4 hours
DoorDash making it harder and harder to decide between Mother's Day and 💸 haha
That's wild! Just wow
Wow, so far the bonuses in Las Vegas have been $1-1.50
After averaging 10.50 an hour for 8 hours today, I looked with this vid! Thanks for the tips!!
Today was my first day doordashing in San Diego. I made $98 for 5 hrs. 7:30-9:00AM, 11:00AM-12:30PM, and 6:00PM-8:00PM. I feel like breakfast and lunch were more efficient hours.
My area dinner and lunch is better. !! Try looking at promo and schedule your dashes
Lunch into dinner was good I started today made $58 from 1:30 to 5:30ish
That last tip was PROFOUND!
Thanks haha glad you liked it
You are adorable! How do you end your dash after each bonus based delivery? Aren’t they completion rating dependent?
Today was my first day and I did 2 deliveries .I have some questions
1. It was Friday night and after my second delivery I drove to hotspot on the app waited for about 15 minutes and there is no order popping up at all which is surprising to me. is driving to the hot Spot really increasing the chance of getting order?
2. I heard about stacking orders how is that work? While I’m working on my order I can pick up another order too? I am so new I am afraid that would cause confusion so maybe I should not do that right now
3. Before I accept order did they tell you how much door dash pay and how much customer tip? I feel like I don’t want to deliver to customer that don’t tip and hoping they will tip at the door because my second delivery the guy said he did not have any cash to tip and I did not see on the appIf he put it in there already or not before I accept the order so I didn’t get any tip
4. I haven’t tried to schedule shift yet but if I do and I cannot work during those time can I just not work? Is it going to affect my performance and the quality of orders I get in the future?
5. Do you Send customer the Personalize intro message and thank you message and hope that they might give you more money at the door?
6. Can they add more tips on the app after you deliver just in case they are impressed with your people skills?
Some of the questions I compare it with Instacart but I want to try door dash see how I like it. thank you very much for your advice and great video!
Thank you for your advice. Great video:)
I first seen the neighborhood you were in this video. For some reason I said that out loud that look like Palo Alto. LOL
Thanks for the advice. I just started and I haven’t had that much luck with finding hotspots or making orders above 8 dollars. Is there anyway I can fix this?
I’m wondering if I should go somewhere else to dash instead of the town I live in. I’m in Cheyenne wy and so far I haven’t seen a dash over $10 and there’s never any peak pay. My family lives in Colorado though so it would be easy to stay there a few days and dash while I’m there..
Good Job.
Thanks!
Welcome dasher family
Can you get double or triple orders if you start the dash at home? or is this only capable if you start at the "hotspot". Also, when you get an order, do you try and wait for a double order, or just continue with that single order?
Depends on market. In Texas it’s 7.50 an hour.
So if u end the dash after every dash if u know the area is somewhat busy and can hit dash now u drive to a hotspot and start dashing theres a lot better chance ull get a double order than just driving to a hotspot during your dash?
Yes good tips and ive been doing this longer than you and you just helped me get my shit together.
Haha no worries
Guide to making a lot of money with doordash : become a youtuber. Cause these guys somehow make the most
They haven't done the "complete 80 percent of deliveries" on bonuses in a LONG time. I'm pretty sure they don't do that anymore. Even if you do end your dash after every delivery you run the risk of getting locked out of dashing because your market is full.
If i ended my dash every order I would have to sit there and wait for another schedule to come up. Because our area isnt super busy but it is super saturated with dashers.
So for DoorDash do you decide your own hours or how does that work? Like let’s say I wanted to start rn but Bc of school and I can’t rlly do weekdays could I just do weekends? Or is there a minimum hour threshold per week?
The best part is that it’s 100% on your own hours. You can work 24/7 or you can work once a year. You can start and stop your dashes whenever you want, and there are no minimum hours to maintain
Thank you for this video ! I was just interested how this DoorDash works and how you make the money you do !
OMG THE GOODWILL SITUATION HAPPENED TO ME YESTERDAY I WAS SO LATE
No way! 😂 that’s hilarious
Thank to everyone who help recommend this guy to me his job
