    I'm a therapist, I've had many clients work at Amazon, it's a terrible place to work. My husband and I just started door dashing on the weekends and he goes out when I'm working. I make alot more per hour as a therapist, but door dashing together is fun and not as serious as mental health issues. The freedom is really important! That's why I work for myself and my husband has the door dashing side gig

    My best week was $988 in 55 hours with a doordash bot. The extra 10% cashback with dasherdirect and the use of get upside to get 25-30/c a gallon cash back, I got that $12 back from the gas so I made 1k+

But lately they been working my nerves with trying to force you to take the 2-3$ orders🥴 They will send it to you over and over again this sucks all while making your acceptance rating drop. I'd say Friday thru Monday. I've noticed Monday's are busy too, I think it's because it's the first day back to work, and a lot of people don't want to cook. During the week you have to find the hot lunch spots. Look for heavy medical areas, places with a lot of (hospitals, denist offices, private practices) you'll be surprised how many of them will order food. Majority of those places are located around a lot of restaurants. Lunch time stay near fast food and sandwich spots. Dinner time stay around sit down restaurants. Hopes this helps new drivers.

    Awesome advice! I just started dashing for Door Dash and unfortunately because I live in a rural area I’ve yet to see an offer over $8 and most that I get seem to be for $4-$6. I did make $90 today but that was from working all day without even stopping to eat (on a Saturday). Also we have to schedule every dash here because the demand isn’t as high as other places, so maybe that has something to do with it. Your doing awesome though!

    I’ve done it part time and only gone out 2 days… total of 4 hours actually doing orders but 6.5 hours online, I’ve done $126. I love it, my first day was in the rain during rush hour traffic and I made $40 in tips alone!! Also, I find that tips need to be higher than dash payout in order to be successful. Also, don’t sleep on the $6 orders with a short distance! Did one last night for 2 miles and payout said $6.75. When I delivered and closed out he gave me a $15 tip and payout was $18!! Took me 20 minutes.

    I was delivering Amazon for 2 years. They wrote me up saying I was no longer meeting their production quota, so they let me go. Now doing Doordash. The best thing about DD is the flexibility. The DD payout varies from market to market. I have yet to make $1000/week with DD. That's more $$$ than Amazon/week. Keep up the great work! Being your own boss is worth it. Thank you for your valuable information on Doordash.

    Only issues I have. I live in San Antonio. Inclement weather (at least in summer) is rare. Peak pay is even rarer (except for late night/overnight hours and military bases which are off limits to me, no military id). Also, the city has a lot of sprawl. Parts of town even have popular restaurants with insanely large delivery ranges. (I.e. only 1 Carrabba's in town, 2 Cheesecake Factories. Etc, even Chick Fil A can have some ridiculous delivery distances depending on location) if I'm not careful or too picky on my selections, I could sit for an hour without taking an order if I'm not careful.

    Every market is different for sure! I went to Tx for vacation and made $100 in like 3 hours on UE alone! The money is definitely out there and everyday won’t be a good day but just be consistent and it pays off. A tip you forgot to mention is hot bags and pizza bags make sure you have those! Also if you can go the extra mile for your customer cause alot of folks will tip especially at good pricey restaurants. This morning I made $32 on a Chick-Fil-A order and last night i made $40 on a mexican restaurant order- $24 tip this morning and $18 tip last night!

But some cab days you can do $120/hour if those hotel to airport runs are popping. I do take $2.50 or $3 orders if they’re less than a mile. There’s lots of businesses around restaurants that order n many are just across the street.

    I dash in Chicago as well. I started in January. I have a completely different experience with downtown orders. I find the restaurants to be backed up, traffic to always be an issue, parking is always horrible and the tips not worth it. I tend to stay in Bridgeport and most of the orders are usually from the restaurants there but go 5 miles or so in any direction to deliver. I can make $200 to $250 a day taking advantage of peak pay, the catering program, and large pizza orders. I'll only ever deliver downtown if I know it's gonna be a good size catering order with a nice hidden tip. I would also suggest to the audience to keep the shop and deliver assignments to less than 5 items as time is money and you may need to make several substitutions on missing store items that cause the red card to malfunction and not read leaving you with only two options. Cancel the order for no pay or pay out of pocket and have DD reimburse you. The best days, at least for me to work are Thursday thru Monday.

    This is how I look at it, some people have a $ to mile ratio rule set so like for me, I have a rule of 1.70 - $2 a mile ONLY IF it’s going out of my zone or away from a busy chain of restaurants, if the order is going from one busy chain of restaurants to another chain of popular restaurants sort of close by like 4-5 miles that people order from and it’s $1 a mile, I will take it because the more orders you can do faster the more you can make in 1 hour instead of waiting around for a chance of a $15 order which might not even come through…unless I’m getting a lot of higher $2 a mile orders coming through faster if that makes sense. Everything just depends on your certain market, if you live in a smaller city, like me, I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a lot of the suburban areas can pay really well. You just have to figure out what areas do well for you and your specific goals, I have a goal of trying to make $25-$30 an hour by multi apping.

    The decline in orders is totally ridiculous especially considering us top dashers need this to make money. That's why I purchased one of those doordash bots from gigshield to get bigger orders

    I absolutely love and appreciate your time into making this video, I’m just wondering if anyone who’s done this as long as a year can tell me more about how much you pay back in taxes at the end of the year and also things about west and tear on your car from all the driving or if there’s any kinda reimbursement on mileage or anything like that?

    • @CJ-th7es
      @CJ-th7es 2 роки тому +3

      Last year, I made 30k (part-time) before taxes and expenses, and after all my deductions, I had to pay 1k back in taxes. Cannot stress it enough that these numbers may not reflect yours, or anyone else's. There are a LOT of variables that go into each driver (i.e, are you married, have kids, what state you live in, etc) when determining how much you owe, so be sure to do your research for your specific needs/area and remember to write off all expenses you use to funnel your delivery business (gas, tires, oil changes, hot bags, phone holders/chargers, car washes, etc).

    • @danbobway5656
      @danbobway5656 2 роки тому +2

      This year you get $.58 per mile to deduct on your income that you pay taxes on. So say you drove 100 miles and made $150, you would deduct $58 from $150 and pay taxes on $92 @ about a 30% rate which would be $27.6 for $150 @ 100 miles. So after taxes you would have made $122.4, this doesn't factor in gas, oil changes, tire wear etc.

      They do offer a standard mileage deduction, make sure to use an app which tracks your mileage, Stride is free and a great option.

    Not completely true. Depending on where you are, it's all depends on customer whim, availability and $/mile offers. You can sit there declining trash offers for a couple hours straight sometimes if you are even getting orders, could be looking at a "Looking .... " screen for a long time between orders. Sometimes you can be going from drop off to another store to another drop off so far from home that it could literally take you 30+min to get back home.
    Yeah $20 for 30 min. Then wait like two hours for another $5 lol. That is the Luck over here in AZ

    When I was a teenager, I'd go cruisin' for fun. These delivery apps are gamified cruisin'. It's cruisin' with a scoreboard. It's the best driving sim I've ever played. The social aspects are fun too, keep the end customer happy for good ratings, keep the vendors happy for fast pickups, network with other drivers for useful intel. Every shop and deliver is a minigame called scavenger hunt. One of the first things I did after going full time was secure a vehicle upgrade; a new Honda Accord Sport Hybrid. Sport because time is money. Hybrid because gas is also money. Every week my score lands in my bank account in the form of dollars. What's not to love? Keep a couple of towels in your car people, you can thank me the next time it rains.

    much easier to make that kind of money in the USA. in Canada, even in a big city, you count your blessings if you make 100-150 for a full days work, maybe 10-12 hours.

      Popeyes & Wendy’s too. They don’t start to make your food until you’re there, and then they always have long line AND are slow. It’s funny how we know when we see something pop up whether it’s worth taking just by looking at the restaurant FIRST lol.
