- We got to have some fun with the daily drivers and what better to do then test out the all new 2023 Raptor R!! Took on Dodge best SUV, the Hellcat Durango along with a bolt on Explorer ST
That explorer ST is impressive for less than haft the cost wow
Those 3.0 with a tune are wild!

WOW! Love these 3, all within a car or less of each other, good ass drivers and clean runs! Such close consistent results everytime Raptor R is a beast all 3 go home a winner in my book!
I miss the ST, I had a stock 21 impressive for what it is. TTV6, to hang with a Raptor R and that Durango is crazy that raptor csn boogy!!..
Bolt on vs stock. One also had 37's which is EXPONENTIALLY more rotational mass vs the others, with the weight handicap as well.
3rd race was amazing!!!!!! The Durango driver SLEPT on the first 2! I knew the Explorer could be a sleeper as I had a 2014 Taurus SHO with a Gearhead tune and some other goodies - I surprised a lot of true sports-cars with that heavy 4-door sedan with a twin-turbo V6! LOL! But I was impressed how well it did.
Good thing the ST was riding solo

The Durango is sleeper… like seriously sleeps on the start every time!
That was only the first race 2nd race was close still lost to the raptor and 3rd run raptor was prolly heat soaked but still ran it down on the big end

I'm impressed by the Raptor but, that Durango is a beast. The Explorer held its own pretty well too
It's a beast that got gapped.....three times, and had a hard time against a 3.0 explorer. Not very beast-like.

Also that raptor is the heaviest of all of the cars, while the durango has higher torque and hp also with a damn 4x4 suspension....would you like to find an excuse for that as well?

@@mytruthslays1303 the problem is you can’t just smash the throttle in the Durango (or any dodge).. need to use torque reserve to get proper times.

Not sure why the Durango didn't use launch control if they didn't know how to use torque reserve manually. Easily a half a second slower than it should have been leaving the line without any boost.

The rango has 700hp and the most tq and weighs more than all of them. The raptor has the most hp and the st the lightest. Good runs, thanks again 👍. Good to have some stock cars run once in a while, good change of pace. For science 🤣.

@@saudabrahams 3rd run the Durango left last and won the race. Other races Durango also slept. Put your glasses on and re watch the video. Durango is the fastest of the 3.

If you can’t tell the Ford Explorer was empty only had the driver the Durango had a lot of people in it and it looked like they were about 300 pounds each and then the Ford raptor is tuned and the Durango was still pulling on it now but if they do another race in the Durango only has the driver they had to make it even by putting more weight on the Durango or it would’ve never been even at all because the lunch on that Durango is crazy and then also the Durango driver cannot drive

You can for sure but it’s takes a few mods to make it happen unless STs are running mid 11s now tune only.
@@S8ER nah we are running high 11’s on E50 tune only. We can get to mid 11’s with downpipes, intake, and intercooler.
@@SlowEcoboostPerformance I follow the ST groups so I thought that was the case. They are constantly offering new tunes though with trans brake and stuff so I wouldn’t be shocked if someone managed it eventually tune only.

he didn’t know how to launch it 🤷 from experience it takes some experience to launch these and do rolls. If you don’t hear the factory “two step” activate then it wasn’t running anywhere near its best times.

Especially when you consider a C6 Vette weighs around 3k depending on model and an A&A on a Ls3 would prolly be enough to polish these busses off and it'll get 25 mpg easily on the HWY. For a 1/3 of the price LOL

Realistically you won’t even see 11mpg if it’s a daily. Also it doesn’t get old because gas is cheap 🤷♂️
@@S8ER I know its more like 9 mpg and thats on 93 octane. Add some E85 to it and ur looking at 7-8 mpg and yea that is cheap but u use 30% more of it so in reality it isnt cheap at all and neither is 93 octane so IDN wher eur getting gas is cheap it certainly isnt!
It will cost u $110 to fill up in most places. If thats cheap tpo u whats expansive?
