Impressed with cool rotating of the camera Dom, amazing shots of that car over taking you and tracking it into distance! Glad cars ok, and good luck with the new mods. Looking forward to next time!
Good job on finding grip, I would think you would be faster carrying speed into the corners and using the lift off understeer to rotate the car. Then back on throttle 👍🏻
very very nice vid I really enjoyed it dom! looks like you had some good fun. but apart from your amazing tt, that Renault was wicked around the corners! it was sooo great. in the future we might take our roadster on the track, why not, but the list of jobs to get done is long before actually going to a trackday.
Honestly there was so many great cars. Most cars with the right mods do well round track. The Megane did carry a lot more corner speed o Was very jealous haha. Yeah you should when it’s back done great fun
Thanks man appreciate that. Yeah was good fun, always hard when your getting to know the car and it’s limits. Always nice to come away with it all In one Piece 😂
Nice one, Dom! ... Bring back the Audi Sport TT Cup! ... Would be nice to see all TT's on the track again ... although we're approaching historic racing, now 😂
I had a guy come up to me and say nice to see this tt on track and that you don’t see them as much as you used to. I was like really I know thousands of people with them 😂😂
Dom, if you get some track tires what would you get? I'm looking for a set of 4 semislick myself. There are many choices. Maybe you can do an episode in that I'd you haven't already?
Does anyone know, i have a 51 plate, 1.8 225 Mk1. The turbo lag. The car does go well, but would replacing the turbo with a new one minimise the lag i get. I know you’ll always get t lag, but curious to know if i do replace it will it help minimise it on my car. I think it’s still the original factory fitted turbo. Great content as ever. Love your car👍👍👌🇬🇧
Hey Andrew, have you mapped your car? Usually that helps a little. The map helps a little low down. Also keeping a stock air box also helps low down torque. A hybrid turbo will help a little but quite an expensive one. I’d get a map if you haven’t already. Will fly then 😂 Thanks buddy
Andrew, without sounding poopie, it's a boosted car. A quality tune alone will find approximately 20-25 bhp. After that start saving in $1000 American dollar increments. BTW, you'll need $3000-$15,000 dollars to be satisfied. Fact, boosted cars need high volumes of exhaust to make boost. Boost competes with Displacement. Honestly, you have to drive a boosted car angry (and bear in mind it is a 4 cylinder engine). If it were a normally aspirated v8 torque and lag would not be an issue. Bit it's hard to drive with the engine at full song in all conditions. You have to pick and chose your battles and set your challenger up. A stock 225 TT is not going to be quick out of the dig, but it can be fast in top gear with a K04. Let's agree that there's a difference. I presume you're new to small displacement boosted cars (so please ignore me if I'm wrong) but a 6 speed TT, with all wheel drive and 225bhp that is sorted and well maintained is a very capable whip in the hands of an experienced driver. The car in stock form can rev over 7000 rpms and mind you life begins after 5500 rpms. So, make sure all the mechanical basics are sorted and stand on the loud pedal and drive with both feet! Enjoy.
It all depends on the track, fwd is the preferred option in most race classes. Look at touring cars for example, only a couple BMW’s. If you are looking at modifying and it will come at a greater cost with a 180 that’s all
@@TheParrottBros I am planning to buy a TT mk1. But here in my country I am only finding the 180 in good conditions. I would like to modify for more power. Do you think it´s a better option to wait till I find a 225?

Thanks buddy, yeah loving the new camera. Now just need to work out how to use it properly 😂😂
Ive noticed with the tt they stable at high speed corners are taken with ease with just enough power to get involved
The problem is i drive the car like i drive a go kart, too fast in and sideways out 😂 hence why im never good at karting
looks so fun i still have lots of work to do on my 225 looking forward to a track day
Don’t worry buddy we all still have a good list to work through haha. Was a great day out thanks
Great video mate. Track day is on my list
Thanks buddy, it’s great fun and you can drive as fast or as slow as you feel
Comfortable. I’d recommend it to all

It could a mixture of things, get a professional to look at it mate, I doubt it's the turbo, also check your timing belt if u just got it!

I haven’t mapped it, food for thought there.

@@tthiagobritto yes for sure, the 180’s can get 230ish hp without spending mad money, the 225 can get 270-280hp odd
