2024 Nissan Versa Test Drive Review: The Cheapest Car, Done Right
Вставка
- Опубліковано 23 жов 2023
- The 2024 #nissan #versa is the cheapest new car in America, starting at $16,130. It may not have a ton of power, but the Versa packs a ton of features at a low price, stellar fuel economy, and surprising practicality. Is it the right fit for you?

Good balanced review. Thanks for covering the sedan. I'm so sick of trucks and SUVs with one person in them. Most people don't need them.
I got the 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage ES, and I've put 5,200 miles on it at the time of writing this. I am really enjoying driving it! (:
Looks decent. With Nissan's history I'd say the manual transmission is a no brainer.
Which is what I got last week! And since I never learned to drive a manual car before, it's been really stressful on the road these past few days lol
stopping and starting on a hill is the toughest when you are learning to drive a manual. I 've owned 15 cars in over 50 yrs and never had an automatic. You will be a pro in no time.
This video has been up for 9 hours on a channel with a 6-figure subscriber count and I'm the 2nd comment. Whoof. Tells you how interested folks are in sedans.
That, and it’s a Nissan they did a lot better with the pathfinder but there is some work to do still. That cvt really drove there reputation into the ground
No it doesn't
I prefer ford
That is on them.
Nothing wrong with the CVT engine. If there is, it’s the driver that’s abusing the engine. Trust me I’m local.
The manual car is horrible on the freeway. It needs a 6th gear. The engine is reving way to high at 75+. The cvt keeps the revs low 👍
Like the Pontiac Fiero wheels on the SR.
The versa hatch became the Nissan kicks
Because everyone that buys a lil shitbox like this Kicks themselves!
@@everybodysucks6509 I don’t mind the kicks my mom owns one but I will say I prefer Toyota lol
No... Versa Hatchback is MICRA both are based on Renault "CMF-B" (Clio V) Platform... Micra is only sell in Europe and Asian Market in america only sell sedan version.... ua-cam.com/video/onKWN-Oygnw/v-deo.htmlsi=50gvddbyVky79peS
@@everybodysucks6509 not if they have a manual version
The base model with 5-speed manual is the best option for theft protection - in America - and reliability.
First, good luck finding one on a lot. I'm in Ontario. If you want one it's an 8 month wait on a factory order. The top trim the SR here is the same price as a Hyundai Elantra Preferred or a Forte or the Sentra with more power and features and room. So to say it's "cheap" requires some context. And with all the BS fees dealerships are adding now you will be lucky to get the top trim off the lot (assuming you can find one) for under 30 grand.
Best i can get is a 2021 versa, standard.
Nice car. That is probably grey sky pearl color.
Owner of a 2023 versa 5 speed manual, my average mpg was 40.9 and did not baby it
"Was"? So what happened to it?
@lipoz-n-nitroz4012 hit a deer near the end of October and it was totalled out. 4,500 miles of fun while it lasted
@@joesjunkyard935 Ouch!😣
16,100 up to 17,800 =1700 plus if the buyer borrows money that is even more. 15000 miles a year at $4 a gallon would probably take 9 or more years to pay for the cvt that won't last 9 years. So how much to replace a cvt vs replacing the clutch?
My 2014 versa has 180k still on original clutch would be on my 4th cvt. Just ordered a 2024 versa 5 speed gotta wait 4 months
I love sedans but the new hatches like the civic is on my radar it’s gorgeous
I didn’t know this thing came in a 5 speed manual until after I bought my Altima last year.. now I’m trying to talk my wife into trading the Altima in for one… I wish I would’ve known about it
Everyone wants to test the SR or the base model. I've only found one review of the SV. I wish that there were more reviews of the SV. It's nicely equipped and is even cheaper the SR.
If you live in Brooklyn or are retired and all you drive is to church, supermarket, etc… this is it. Have a 18-23 year old in college this is it….
Good overall review, but like you said it's not the base model....
This car all it needed was a back cámara. To be the perfect car 4 me.
Thought back up cameras were mandatory in the US now???
SV trim has 60/40 rear seats.
Just bought one yesterday and it 27000
Another reviewer found the Versa boot holds more than the Altima. Said it twice.
I think that the Kia Soul S is a better value than the Versa. More room, more power, and a higher hip point
They probably markup this car too?! 🤦♂️
I'll take the Nissan Versa over the Kia Rio and Mitsubishi Mirage any day.
#savethemanual #savethestick
Sentra isn't much more $ but way more car
I have three cars and will be needing a 4th. This may be it.
What do you for a Living 🤔. The Way the economy is going and Car prices are still High, I can barely afford to fix my Junkie Car 😢
2024 Kia forte $20,000 more horsepower plus way better warranty 100,000 or ten YEARS! Almost double Nissans warranty.
That's because someone will steal it with a flash drive way before the 10 year warranty is up.
Its horsepower is $20,000?
bought this in a manual transmission for 22k otd, no regrets here
...idk why your saying this is the cheapest car. The mirage is a thing and is cheaper.
Of course they didn't want to send the cheap model.
This guy, reminds me of everything wrong with car buying in the US.
ffs
You mean because we defend small cars? Sounds like the opposite of the average US car buyer.
@@carbuzzcom Notice how I was talking about the video presenter, that has mannerisms of a redditor goblin soyface.
He activity talked me out of not wanting to buy this car.
because your review is a read of the car brochure.
@@carbuzzcom As someone that love small cars, this review talked me out of buying this car.
Yeah with the transmission problems Nissan has had I'll take a PASS!! Pay a few more bucks and get a REAL car!! Honda or Toyota!!
Gotta get manual on this one
I saw a fully loaded Versa SR being advertised near me for way less than a Corolla SE, not so well equiped. I did consider maybe test driving the Nissan but took the Corolla home, no brainer!
@@anthonylee2566 You WON'T regret it!!! Enjoy....
C'mon Carbuzz, don't make that Stupid face when you say 10 seconds for the 0-60. You make it look like it was dangereux to ride this Versa. Get back on Earth. Can you envision what arrête 10 seconds? It's nothing, rien, nada. It's not even a flash in your eye. So Fed up with self appointed car reviewers that Think only in micro seconds to get to point a to B. Be real. You usually have some good reviews but this one is out of ils place. Stick with big powerful turbo or V8 engins that make you so happy. Stick with the M1 Abrams clones you use to drive. Happy though you like the car in a way.
Crazy you cant get a forte or a corolla anymore.
