THE COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED - NO MORE ENTRIES CAN BE ACCEPTED! On Friday 17th November 2023, @bangolufsen will be 98 years old, making them the World's oldest surviving audio brand! To celebrate, Steve from SoundsHeavenly.com has given away a unique piece of Beolab 8 memorabilia on 1st December, which has been kindly donated by Andre Poulheim from Noto Design, the designer of the new Beolab 8 speakers. Full details of how to win this prize are given in the video, the competition closes at 12pm (UK time) on Friday 1st December 2023 and the winner will be announced in a video on this channel once the competition has closed.

They are the world's oldest surviving audio brand, I didn't know that but it suggests they are doing something right.
I think designing audio/video products that look good in your home as well as performing superbly well is their secret.
I think Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen probably were looking at the other audio products in 1925 and probably were thinking that whilst many were innovative none were appealing aesthetically. So they set about design looking at the whole picture, creating products that people would actually want to have in their home.
Yes, it is amazing to see how the company has grown over the past 98 years!

Hello Steve, I need some help as I am looking for a solution to the following problem. You see I have a pair of BeoLab 5 which are connected with each other with a cable. I also have a BeoCenter 2300 which is WIRELESSLY connected to the speakers and that’s what is causing my problem, the speakers go on an off at random times, so I am looking for a cable to connect the BeoCenter to the BeoLab 5. Ideally I would like to modernize the whole setup if possible. Any ideas?

Hi, Beolab 5 cannot be used wirelessly, they are wired speakers only (B&O Receiver 1 does not work with Beolab 5). Please feel free to get in touch at soundsheavenly.com and I can help with a reliable wired connection for these speakers.

@@soundsheavenly I believe years ago the beomasters were basically on a HIFI level or quality audio and some systems were relatively inexpensive to purchase . I know times change and speakers and systems are different to what they were 30 years ago. But there has to be room for the working class and middle classes in the BnO world. As well as the wealthy who can afford 90s and 50s as rears !!! .
