Sounds like an inflammation issue including what looks like eczema on his face. Auto immune issues maybe. Possibly due to dietary issue. I'd go full carnivore, personally. Once everything clears up, start adding other foods back in.

Eventually that's just gonna be common knowledge for inflammatory conditions. Kinda like t2d, and even td1 communities know to stay away from carbs, and seed oils even when the American diabetes association tries to play like they are not the whole problem.
Soon people will just know to drop plant matter to help with autoimmune, or inflammatory conditions while the establishment cries about it. It'll just become the default in spite of the stigma against it.
