    In this Vaheim build guide, I'll show you a way to build and decorate an underwater structure, without needing to use any mods!
    I've been working on this technique for quite some time and was super excited to share it with everyone when I built a tiny house on Gaming with Kristi's Happy Gamers Valheim server. It was a great experience, and my build was voted the most unique design! I am very grateful to the community over there.

    If you use a firstperson view mod, you can suddenly have a lot clearer access to underwater construction. Sure, it's giving up the modless approach, but it's one heck of a fun project, if you like these unique challenges.
    I've tried to bridge together two different islands with about a 40-50ingame meter long bridge. I used roof parts to dive underwater, and built multiple 1viking high scaffolding levels using wooden beams and 2x2 wooden flooring. This is basically the thing that will hold you underwater, allowing you to build in various heights, but you'll be swimming 100% of the time. This will require you to build sections where you can push your character down until it touches the surface underneath, basically refilling your stamina meter. Thankfully you cannot suffocate, so this way, it is possible to erect large iron beam supports all the way to surface level from the maximum depth of the ocean, this way you just need to build the bridge itself using the supports, and preferably make a section in it, which allows longboats to pass underneath.
    My bridge got to a part where I had 4 supports fully built, but these were insufficient to hold a stone pavement fully, so I will have to add like 8 more supports to make it work out. Plus a firstperson mod, that works with mistlands. :D

    • @MatsGamingChannel
      @MatsGamingChannel  Рік тому +1

      Very nice! That’s a HUGE bridge you’re working on! With your strategy, Being able to walk on the bottom and see what you’re doing would be amazing!

    • @Default0102
      @Default0102 Рік тому +2

      @@MatsGamingChannel Probably the greatest turnoff is that it requires a lot of iron for the scaffolding, and descending takes a bit of time. The water has no textures unfortunately, so all you see if a sandy wasteland with fish floating around you.
      Just make sure you don't fall upwards in the middle of the ocean, in case you try this. It's a drowning hazard.

      @iaretyler 2 роки тому +1

      @@MatsGamingChannel That's good to know because aside from creative mode it feels like that would be the only way to make it vaguely feasible lol. The core wood needed to push it down weighs a lot.

    • @MatsGamingChannel
      @MatsGamingChannel  2 роки тому +2

      The inventory weight limit definitely slows things down a bit. You can also let some of your built items just float on the surface, as long as they’re out of your way and you remember to grab them before you go out of range. You can also build chests underwater at different stages through your projects as well.

    • @MatsGamingChannel
      @MatsGamingChannel  Рік тому +1

      You can do this with the longship (the raft as well). However, due to its size I found that the longship is often in the way, and it can also be a bit more difficult to place. Cumbersome is how I would describe it.
      Same with the raft, the size is perfect - but the shape and how it interacts with the environment around it - makes it more difficult than the karve.
