1 guy I was talking to who was about to start, was making enquiries to install a retarder to save on brake wear although he was only running up to 3.5T

I looked at joining last year price offered £1300 for 12 months. £108 a month. Pete’s Cx offer at £2000 is £111 a month. Looks to me they are desperate for cash. Will they still be in business in 18 months ? No need to put the price up other than wanting a short term cash injection I’d be careful

I Hope they Triple the price of the HX that will then put a dent in Pete’s 10k kickback 🤨😡

Good Video! … I joined the CX about the same time as you and am now allowed to pay on a quarterly basis. (360.00 GBP) . I have never paid an accountant on a monthly basis or subscribed to a monthly software accounting package. I do this myself as, just running one small van, it is relatively straightforward. I do however use an accountant once a year to sort out my allowances and to present my books to HMRC. I have used this method for the last 38 years with relatively few problems. When I first joined the CX they boasted that their accounting software was approved by, and linked in with the HMRC “making tax digital” system, which it certainly was at the time, meaning that it took me no more than about 2 minutes max to present my quarterly VAT return . Brilliant!! Then all of a sudden the link stopped working, I contacted the CX who said that they were no longer offering this service as it was crashing their website. No apologies No Nothing, let alone a reduction in yearly subscription. . I have now found a Free stand alone website on which to present my VAT. I also have a local shipper who uses me regularly and I am seriously considering whether the CX is worth the high membership fee. At the moment this is a Hard, Low Geared way of making money and the less people with their hands in your back pocket the better. . That’s how I see it.

    CX is a backload site.
Don't join if need to make a living out of it alone.

I would off called the police, she probably had no insurance and disqualified.
    Why didn’t she stop 🤔.

The CX is so expensive and they have toooooo many drivers so people now work for nothing. I joined about 4 years ago but left and found a job where i earn good money and paid monthly. No bill chasing pension, sick pay etc.. so glad i left and now my van is a camper and we love it

The UK is quietly becoming a very expensive place to work.
CX is crazy platform to work on, but I have never tried it.
Back in the day when I was a taxi driver I paid £100 for a private hire car and £60 for a weeks radio rent based on 24 hours 7 days a week.. (it was crazy)
The car I drove was a humble Ford Cortina 2.0 GL with condom seat covers. That car was worth £2000.
The only people making any money was the company dishing out 100's of radios and the guys who had the capital to buy good but cheap affordable cars to rent out..
Now here is a new government scheme which will finish off any van driver in a delivery service..
Ulez and congestion is one thing in towns and cities around UK
But when they bring the new drive per mile scheme that will totally make driving worthless.. Its already worthless now.
I took a job from SA18 near Swansea to Kettering for £54 it was a floor mop.. It cost me that in diesel fuel.
I had plenty of dead miles and seriously It was an excuse to get me out n about...
Only reason too many driver guys like yourself selling the idea to us idiots daft enough to watch some of you guys some only odd one seems like a dreamer charging for travel to pick up location, Sorry I feel that is so wrong to the customer If your collection is in Coventry and your sat Northampton side of Rugby How can you charge the customer that 8 -10 mile distance.
My job was around 28 miles from my place. I have even drove 150 miles to Coventry to help a student guy to get to Guilford budget price. I don't do it for income I do it to keep alive and motivate myself. I pay nothing for the platform in fact I don't really spend much time searching.
I am trying to re-structure my thoughts Doing you tube as an income is probably far better than actual work, its hobby based and the topic areas are far greater, I could do a car wash video or how I purchase toy cars or bake a cake or even build a business plan because that in itself is never easy.
Here is one example a business plan needs a cash flow.. It actually needs a customer base of at least 10 customers and to attract 2 new customers every week its called networking.
The problems you guys have got your selling CX to people and now moan you ain't got enough work.
Its like a taxi PLC Started back in the 1970's With a 5 cab company and then expanding over time but growing to over 500 drivers on the system.
Here's another way of looking at it "If you found a gold mine" are you going to tell anyone about it...?????
