Man I'd really luv to try some Bates reels. Especially that new light tackle, bfs style. And the goat. But , my wallet ain't that fat. And I don't need the wife going crazy, lol. Great lookin line up
So much for the trend back towards more paddle friendly, river usable kayaks I guess. The new offerings kinda take the DIY fun/frustration out of tricking out your boat, but I am sure there are lots of people who want to buy a boat that is either ready to fish, or able to easily accept off the shelf motors and steering control items to get on the water quickly. Sport's come a long way from Loon 111s and the old WS Tarpon SOT.
Easy there Pete. Crescent Kayaks is the strongest growing brand in kayak fishing and they ARE great paddling boats. There’s room for diversity in design. Nobody is doing the sort of hellscape float trips we’ve done in the past on say the Pamunkey River in that type of boat. But that design is good for a lot of folks.
@TheLittleStuff Crescent is what I switched to this year. I had a SS127 for 3 years and it was amazing on flat water. I got addicted to creek and river smallmouth so I needed a new boat. I looked hard at the RVR but the Shoalie out performed it on the skinny water. I heard Crescent and Drew have some new designs in the works and I can't wait to see what they come out with.
I like the innovation in the varying hull designs, just it's pretty obvious the industry is going to have to get innovative in materials in order to bring weights back down into a manageable realm, or else Kayak Fishing is going to become a strictly Trailer Only deal, which is a Sad thought.
Gotta say, people like Greg Blanchard and others have been DIY making this type of roller steering using 8020 aluminum roller gantry. Looks like Bonafide just made a cover that goes over a standard 8020 gantry.
Those new foot braces are going on my sportsman 💯
Can’t wait to get some set up!
Wilderness updated the Pond Prowler and labeled it a “kayak” so it can be used in kayak tournaments 😂
Well, it’s a very nice Pond Prowler.

The Bates Goat 150 has been a workhorse for me since I got it about 14 months ago.
@@adwhite804 I concur on Jeff's assessment of the Goat... it's a a total workhorse

The wildy boat legit looks like a beefed up Ascend kayak.
Like a 133X maybe? I see that similarity in overall hull shape.
My first thought as well.
@@TheLittleStuff yes! but of all boat brands to look alike, that's not one I'd try to imitate
Wonder how much $$ that foot steering upgrade is gonna run. It's almost a necessity on the PWR!
Not sure on the price.
Any idea on a release date?

@@riverfly4237 I may have to look into that. Thanks! Bonafide will surely try to sell for $100+
Did the have any new inflatables come out this year
I think that Vibe has one with a pedal drive.
Check out the new bonafide yak.
Will do tomorrow!
them bates reels look like cheap plastic toy 👎
I guess that looks can be deceiving. My GOAT has been a tank. Tough smooth lightweight reel.
@@TheLittleStuff how is the casting distance?
