There's a "mod" (it's official, people fell in love with that first part of the game, so the devs made a whole mod where you can replay it endlessly with some added mechanics, too). It's called Kaycee's mod. If you still urge for some Inscryption after beating it, check it out! It's basically its own thing and game and it's super awesome if you enjoyed that first part.
i definitely struggled with the non energy cards at first in this stage, the lack of the squirrel deck that you get used to in leshys cabin means you tend to not put enough fuel cards into your deck to push sacrificing/bone generation. 1/3-1/2 of your deck needs to be stuff you can get out on the field to generate resources or just use energy and play hearthstone
I just want to say that in Leshy's cabin, to say you didn't use the Ouroboros that one time you got it was a shame is an understatement, but you may still redeem yourself after like Leshy presented it "The Eternal serpent, death strengthens it 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫"
Everyone likes Act 1. Everyone wishes to go back to Act 1. Everyone thinks less of Act 2 because it is not Act 1. Completely understandable. However, Act 2 is really cool in the way it plays out like one of the old Gameboy card games where you run around collecting cards and building your own deck without restriction and finding people to battle. It's a completely open full player freedom to play with all of the cards that they find however they want to. You won't be punished for bad decks either. Just replay the battle and if you are stuck build a new deck. It's a part of the game that may be better appreciated once you beat the game, since you can [REDACTED].

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER the end of the game also left me wanting more, especially more of the Grimora & Magnificus parts! Watching you play this makes me wonder if you’ve played Undertale. If not, I’m sure you’d enjoy it! Also, I wondered why shaky cam was a setting you could adjust, after seeing “Luke’s” footage the first time it makes sense now 😊
Still a couple of misplays but he actually improved A LOT. He even makes some good plays now 🤯 More importantly, he really likes the game, the lore and he really tries ❤️❤️❤️
Just a heads up, you can actually have up to 40 cards in your deck, 20 is the minimum. That being said, it's also a good idea to keep your deck on the smaller side so that you can actually draw your good cards. But if you wanna go slightly over and have 21-22 in your deck that's totally fine.
Yep, handy if you have a weak card on the board and you need to make space, or have autogenerating cards like squirrel ball or ghost ship using up your precious slots!
Small detail: 20 is the MINIMUM of cards in your deck, I'm not sure what the max is, but you can run a 25 card deck easily, it just reduces draw chance, of course.
oh damn I must have accidentally cut out discovering the mirror in the room on the top right lol, I was walking around doing nothing for a while so cut it out of the video but must have forgotten to keep the mirror scene in. You can change your appearance in Grimora's place
Mixing in the robots into the Bone deck might sound good, but will give bad draws, the Grave Digger is essential though. As you wager, a 3-color deck might be a good Best-Of, but also inconsistent ;)
The second act is definitely the weakest part of the game. Part of it is because the Gameboy aesthetic is less interesting than the presentation in act 1, like Mapo mentions, but it's also that it emphasizes the weaknesses of the deckbuilding aspect of the game. Inscryption is not a carefully balanced deckbuilder like Slay the Spire. This game practically demands that you break it by finding and using the overpowered combos it offers. Which is fun, in act 1. But in act 2, it feels like the game handles its randomness poorly, and it often feels like you win or lose a game based only on your first draw. To alleviate that frustration, they don't punish you for dying, but that also means that the simplest strategy for that part is to try tough battles over and over until the RNG gives you a win, instead of spending time constantly optimizing your deck like you would in a regular deckbuilder. And that's less fun. That said, the game ends REALLY strong.
2:08 You should absolutely play Kaycee's Mod after finishing the main game. It is exactly what you're describing with additional cards, sigils, events, and challenges, plus some better balancing! I had a blast with it, going for the platinum Edit: Also, I'd watch the hell out of it if you decided to make videos of it (just so you know that there's some demand 😀)
This game really is an ode to card games. Not just to MtG but also others such as Yugioh or Hearthstone or other, less popular ones. You can see the parallells all over the shop.
I just realized, mixing different decks in this part of the game is very OP. I finished this part with only the undead deck. It was easy, but could have been easier.
@@vaspeter2600 for instance, while you're building it it might be easier to first add the cards you want and then remove the ones you don't until you hit 20. Maple seemed to make it hard on himself by removing one card everytime he wanted to add one
Why should he? Some woman stands in front of his home going through a locked door, however she managed that, and demands a disk of a game that according to the mail doesn't even exist. I wouldn't give her anything.^^
@@masterluckyluke i mean.. it was kinda scary.. and he looked terrified.. i would be too.. I think I would just give it to her 😅 also he did write them about it so lying wasnt really a great choice
I haven't actually seen the ending of the game, so idk, but maybe the floppy disk has a Tolkien "One Ring" quality to it where it start to corrupt the mind of its user and compels them to become very possessive of it.
Yeah but unless you're worried about running out of resources (which doesn't really come up in inscryption) you want to have as small of a deck as possible.
Why does he say "only 5 this time. I thought it was gonna be 10 like previous round" when it was never 10 in this entire game and always 5 damage to win? He also says he is understanding new system when the system hasn’t changed at all and hence not "new" He is more than 5 hours into the game and hasn’t understood the first tip the game gave him.
Question: Would you be fine with spoilers regarding things, that are easy to miss or at least directions? Examples not related to this game: - If you talk to Mark 20 times, he gives you 100 cards. - I recommend you check behind the closet inside your hotel room.
Yeah it's a shame he didn't get to see it's insane power back in act 1 lol, it's essentially the card that lets you win eventually no matter how many times you lose
@@MasterSorez and the insane power would carry to the next arc and he would win every battle :D sure its fun at the beggining but not so much later.. atleast from my perspective

It's not a mod. It's CALLED "Kaycee's Mod" for lore reasons, but it's actual postgame content that is already included in the game by default
It's not a mod, it's a free DLC update that was added later.
It's also incredibly hard
@Monke pretty sure the console version has it. Better google to make sure.
You need to beat the main game first regardless
