- Converting a regular single cab Isuzu Rodeo 4x4 pickup into a fully working, hydraulic tipping dump truck.
The body is an arborist style body using aluminium / aluminum (US) planking.
This video shows the complete build from start to finish.

Great build, I want one, touch of the Tommy Coopers "Not like that, like that".
Brilliant video thank you 😊👍
@@altarbltd2514 thanks buddy 👍
This is great, thanks for the detailed explanation. Definitely a useful truck now. I was thinking of doing something similar to a Mitsubishi L200.
Thanks for sharing ❤
Well done, chap!
I'm looking to do something similar on my '99 Ford Ranger compact.
Nice work mate 👍
Choice job, well done
Top job pal cheers for sharing.
Really good job! Nice!
great job
Savage, great job. I'm hoping to do something similar on my hilux this winter. Do you have a total cost for the project?
New subscriber from Canada, just a great job, now help us get rid of Trudeau lol
Great video Just starting my own one any links you can add would be great but well done grand job
Great video mate! Well made
Thanks mate 👍
Great job but I think everyone would like the hydraulic ram housing dimensions…?
How many cubic metres of capacity did you end up with ? Nice build love the aluminium siding , cheers
Nice work! Good job.
Awesome build! I'm currently in the process of rebuilding a 96 Chevy 1ton. I also ran into the problem of the bed not tilting far enough with the design and hydraulic ram I'm working with. Looks like we are using very similar designs. You said in the video that you have the drawings/measurements for the 2 center pieces that will be doing all the lifting. Are those drawings still available? Thanks!
Hi Eric, unfortunately not as this was a couple of years ago.
You can always move the arrangement towards the back of the vehicle to increase the tipping angle.
I made up cardboard templates to fabricate framework around the ram first.
Nice build , is it just for light stuff?
Does anyone have a US Based supplier of this aluminum or a link to share 😊
Is it top heavy, much, going around corners , when fully loaded ?
Would be very interested in a rough cost
Would that aluminium side panels be strong enough to carry aggregate ?
👍🤯
Where can I buy the Materials you used for your wall thanks
Can you my Truck please? I got Mustibshe canter with tipper on it already just want the arb box to be built on. Can you do it ? Thank you.
Thanks mate but I'm not taking on any builds at the moment... to busy with my own stuff!
How much did materials come in at? Many thanks, P.
Approximately £1500 all in to build everything on the back.
Just wondering what is the industry name of the product you used? I have a stake body dump, which I would like to build the sides up aluminum, since steel is too heavy and will take away from how much weight I can carry. Needs to be interlocking as the panels you used are. I carry allot of small debris from doing demo which need to be contained with the bed while traveling. I am in the US, can't seem to find the same nor similar product to the one you used.
Aluminium planks
@@dcarrollservice yes, I understand they are "aluminum planks", but specifically what type? I searched for aluminum planks and found OSHA scaffold planks, and bleacher seats, non of which are interlocking as the ones used in the video.
As far as I am aware we call it Aluminium Hollow Plank over here in the UK.
www.aalco.co.uk is I use (no good to you in the US though).
Try finding an aluminum stockholder / supplier over there or even a coach / truck body builder's website.
It is even available on ebay.co.uk
