Ahhh Hyro! You captured the Zeerovers experience perfectly! I’ve been coming to Aruba for years & my trip to Aruba isn’t complete without a meal at Zeerovers!
I loved the idea of taking a stranger out to lunch, that brings their perspective into the vlog! I agree with the first couple, hopefully the Government or tourism association representatives can partner up or support you in creating more of these content for us! Keep it up!🏝
Thanks, so kind of you, I really appreciate it! As I said at the end, it was a great experience for them but also for me. Not a day that I will soon forget :-)
Good job to take a different approach this time, Hyro! Such a lovely couple btw :-) For sure we will give it a try the next time on Aruba. Thanks again and looking forward to the next one!
🐟😋 What a great idea of you to randomly ask a couple to the Zeeover to eat delicious fresh fish there 🍽🤩 And what a nice couple! Super vlog!🥰& the fish looked super good💫 The boys thought the laughing seagulls were very funny 🦤🤪🤣
Just saw this video on Zeerover. Yup , we have been going to Aruba for 24 yrs now and visited Zeerover for more than 10 years. It is a must. Yes, it does get busy as words have spread that Zeerover experience is awesome. We just try and time our visit for brunch , before we go to Baby Beach. Or go first to Baby Beach and have an early dinner about 5 pm ......... Thanks for sharing . We love Aruba, from Toronto Ontario Canada
Awesome video! Me, my girlfriend and friend went to Baby Beach and the donkey sanctuary today. Tomorrow we’re thinking about doing a casual bike ride, butterfly farm and trying a new place to eat.
Nother Great video Mr. Ambassador 😁, Heard so many great things about Zeeover but just don't like long lines. Would have done it for the pleasure of having late lunch with You.
Haha, thanks! I understand about the long lines (often times). I must admit it moved very quickly on this day. Avoid Sundays. Try a week day instead and go around 11am or so.
Great video. Have you filmed at “Bochincha Container Yard” yet? Also, I would like to see some tips (or places) for single diners? Your videos are so interesting
Thanks Debbie, appreciate it! I have not filmed at the Bonchincha yet but it's certainly on the pending list. Anything particular do you mean for single diners? I'm often dining out alone so maybe I could help.
I am a single female in her 60s and travel by myself. I like to go out to dinner to some of the nicer restaurants. I try to go early and I generally order two appetizers and a drink (and sometimes dessert!) I tend to avoid the more “romantic” restaurants. But I like good food. I am going to try Que Pasa brunch and Yemanja this year in July.
Zeerovers is great simple food. The price is very reasonable compared to a lot of other seafood places in aruba. Dang, brother your becoming famous. Another couple years you'll have your own statue in Aruba.
If My wife and I run into you we would like to buy you dinner your videos are very informative and helpful will be there in a couple of weeks! So eat lite ! Lol
Thanks Scott! It's about a 20 minute ride. I would not be so sure about the taxi fare. It's often said that it's not cheap but you would be coming from Oranjestad and not Palm Beach. That might help (it's closer).
What a sweet couple. How nice of you to take them ☺️ Didn’t like the lineup concept and the noisy Seagulls. I expected it to be more of a sit down experience but still a great vide to see!
one of my favorite places to eat when i visit aruba. i love the papaya hot sauce. i even bought some to bring back to the states. i sat at the pier with my sister.
Great idea taking some like that! Full disclosure here but I am not a big seafood fan. We had a good time when we were there, very interesting location and neat the way you are sitting over the water. I thought the food was decent and the price was reasonable but it was more the atmosphere that was really neat. Glad I went but probably will not be back.
I understand Mike! Seafood is indeed not for everyone, either because of allergies or personal taste. As you mentioned it's still a nice atmosphere. Thanks for watching!
Hi Hyro! I’m visiting for the 5th time soon. I’m curious if any restaurants serve fresh swordfish? I haven’t found it on the menus I’ve looked at. I appreciate all of your videos and you have given me some new places to explore.
Wat origineel, leuk, spontaan!! Je had echt gezellige warme Peruanen mee te eten. By the way, had je ze meegenomen in die witte F150? (cool).
Hi Hyro...You took Peruvian guys to have lunch... that was really nice of you!! We, peruvians have high standards for food...in our country we eat really well with even little money.
Yes ☺️ They were a very nice couple that recognized me. I was looking for folks to take out to lunch. I’ve been to Peru 3 times so far and have always loved every minute there. Love the Peruvian food and a country that captured my heart❤️🇵🇪
I’ve never experienced all those birds. I love the local and casual feel there. You should go around the back and watch the guys hitting all the fish omg!!!!
Thanks for the tips JoAnn, I'll try next time! The casual feel is what I really enjoy while there! So for anyone reading this... say you are allergic to seafood, you can still go for a drink and you will have a great time!

It is an Island experience. I only go to local places & mingle with the Islanders. Everyone is so friendly & fun to be with & always happy! My kind of Utopia !
Hey Hyro. I have a question. Do you know if they fried the fish separated? Just like fish in another fryer and another fryer for shrimp. The reason why I ask. If there is someone that is allergic for shrimp, he need to be carefull about that.
My husband and I are thinking about going to Aruba. I am allergic to shellfish. Are they able to cook the shrimp separate from the fish or clean the surface in between?
Are the limes to be squeezed over the fish and shrimp? Looks delicious! What word do we use in Aruba for allergic? My husband is allergic to garlic and I want to be able to alert someone when we eat. Thanks for your videos-we will be there next week and will be watching for you! 😀
Hello Michelle, great to know your trip is coming up so soon! The limes are mostly for the fish. The word for allergic is "alergico". I'm sure they will understand you. While weighing the food you mention it to them and in my case I noticed they were very careful with separating the food. I hope to see you but if not, enjoy your trip to the max!

Thanks Hyro for another great video! It looked like their shrimps were already peeled? When we were there last year I had to peel ours and it took me forever with my clumsy hands! Maybe sometimes they have them peeled and other times not?
That's a great question David. I remember they weren't before but since I don't eat them anymore I did not pay attention to that. If I catch up to these folks I will ask them.
I enjoyed this place. Food was delicious. I do think they could have better signage to explain how to order the food and what they had since it changes all the time. Like a few dry erase boards before you get to the counter. We were confused and had to ask. I heard them explaining a lot to people, which slows the line.
Zeerovers was already busy sometimes before tourists heard of it. Now it seems like that's the only thing they hear of besides all the overpriced restaurants in the tourist areas. 😂 Try Maryli's in Ponton! You'll definitely have to reserve though as it's quite small and it closes after lunch.
I went one time with my husband on our first trip to Aruba and we really enjoyed the food it’s very fresh and the people were so kind what I didn’t like was it was really bad with the flies that day but overall I would go again .
Yes, that can be a thing depending on the day. I was asked by the couple also because they were surprised there weren't almost any on this particular day (phew).
Just got back from Aruba. The line was far too long for us to wait so maybe next time. We stayed at an Airbnb within easy walking distance. Heard good things about this place. Now do videos on local food in San Nicolas…like Ora’s Restaurant!

6:14sexy people tips. 😂😂😂 1) best time of year to come to Aruba ? 2) best hotel to stay? 3) best grocery store for organic Turkey and rice? 4) thank you and look forward to maybe meeting you.
HAHA :-) 1.Aruba has great weather year round but I would avoid Oct to mid Dec. If it rains at all it's usually around that period. May and June might be the best because it's less busy. 2 That's a tuff one, there are so many to choose and almost something for everyone. The Hyatt, Marriott, Bucuti & Tara, Renaissance and Riu comes to mind (in no particular order). 3 Organic Turkey hmmm try the Ling & Sons (although I am not 100% on this particular one, they might have the best variety on the island. 4 Thank you too, let's hope we meet!

For us Zeerovers is overrated. Once was enough. Atmosphere gets a 8/10, but the food gets 5/10. Everything is deep fat fried. Not good if your trying to watch your waistline. Also during the time we were there a couple years ago, they don't take the jackets off the shrimp, remove the head, or de-vane them. Yuk. That may have changed since, I can't tell from this video. Don't like my food staring back at me. Creepy! Hyro, just face it...you've finally reached celebrity status. People recognize you on the street instantly. You make a great ambassador for Aruba.
I think it’s fair enough. Also heard from others about the shrimps in the past. From what I can review of the clips it might still be like that (not 100% sure). In one particular case I remember they ordered them for kids and they ended up not eating because of it. As far as the deep fried it was also mentioned by someone else and I do think there could/should be more options. As for recognizing me yes ☺️ it’s happening more often now☺️
The one and only true ambassador of the island is the man Hyro 🇦🇼👑
And that is the absolute truth!
Aww haha thanks (mostly blushing now)

May and June might be the best because it's less busy. 2 That's a tuff one, there are so many to choose and almost something for everyone. The Hyatt, Marriott, Bucuti & Tara, Renaissance and Riu comes to mind (in no particular order). 3 Organic Turkey hmmm try the Ling & Sons (although I am not 100% on this particular one, they might have the best variety on the island. 4 Thank you too, let's hope we meet!
@@LetsgowithHyro thanks my brother. Excited for this.
Where do I buy frying pans and other cooking supplies?
Gonna bring the whole family!
Zeerovers is one of the best on the island 🏝
Sure is! That's why it's often full too :-)
@Let’s go with Hyro it worth the 30 to 40 min wait for sure. I have learned not to go starving cause it becomes an hangry situation quick lol

Haha, maybe one day if we meet!
In my opinion the food is very bad. Its deep fried and very fat with some spices on top. I'd rather go to other places. I live in Aruba as well.
All opinions count. Not everyone likes it there & that is ok too.

🙌🏼Thanks😊
