So happy to see a video like this! I have been coming to your beautiful Island for 20 years and really enjoy the local cuisine! My husband has had the goat stew and loved it, I tried the conch stew from Young Fellow's and thought is was rich, thick and yummy! I'll be returning in a few days and want to try the Mauby drink, sounds intriguing! Thank you again and hope to meet you and Marlene!
I am SO happy you stopped by Ora’s Restaurant! When I saw you were there, I yelled to my husband, “Hyro is at ORA’S!!!” She is such an amazing person, and an even better cook! I think we had dinner there 4 times on our last trip! We are coming back to Aruba in September and can’t wait to see her- and hope to see you and Marleen at the Tuesday art market as well! Looking forward to your video featuring Ora’s food in the future! 🇦🇼 ❤️
You can never go wrong with food videos and this one was really great! I love hearing about the local places, and I also love seeing you both interact with the locals and speaking to them in the local languages. Although I don’t eat fish, I would certainly get out of my comfort zone to try the okra stew. The sliminess is a texture that is very popular and loved in so many cultures and I have learned to appreciate it as well. Nice to see you both happy and healthy Hyro and Marleen .😊
Thank you so much for your kind comment. It was so much fun filming this one☺️ Happy to read all of the comments. Hope you are able to try the Okra soup one day.
I have a really really old video on the Alfie's It was like my 2nd vlog ever😊But would love to and have been thinking of filming there again. I am saving for a new camera so I can do that👍🏼

I would love to go on a local food tour with you. I love eating different kinds of food and will try anything. Love goat, usually have it in indian food and grew up eating tongue too.
Hallo Hyro en Marleen ik heb nog nooit geiten vlees gegeten zal het restaurant noteren en zal het volgend jaar als we er weer zijn bestellen. Groetjes Gerold.
Hello Mr. hyro. We will be in Aruba in August and we'll stay at the Ritz. are there any restaurants near the Ritz that are walking distance? Which ones would you recommend near that area? Thank you!
I am from a Greek background. I will like to add about the difference between lamb and goat. The lamb is a farm animal raised on a farm. It is full of fat (cholesterol watchers beware) and has a noticeable heavy lamb taste (because of the fat). The goat, however, is the same as the lamb with a difference since goats are raised in mountain areas they're very active animals. Thus, they are very low on fat, and they have almost zero cholesterol. They are a go-to choice if you count your cholesterol levels. Also, since there is almost no fat, the taste is not as potent as lamb. Thus, if someone doesn't like the lamb, they would prefer the goat. The stew that you saw on the video is the same as the greek recipe made with tomato paste and other Mediterranean spices such as oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper. Bon appetit...
I’m always down for trying some local food in places I have visited. My dad was from Italy and he would make goat roasted with potatoes and garlic, it was delicious.. I have never had tongue, and would be afraid, BUT, that tongue dish you were eating looked really good. I would have no problem trying it. You lost me at the soup though lmaoo…. I’m with Marlen on that! I Will be in Aruba in 3 weeks! I’m gonna keep my eyes open in case you are both in the area where we are staying! Hope this finds you both in good health!
In januari was ik in Senegal, daar at ik idd okrasoep, Kandhja, het wordt o.a. gemaakt met vis, okra en palmolie. Het was zeker niet mijn favoriete maaltijd.
Before I put food in my mouth it has to pass the eye & nose appeal test.Probably could do the goat but the soup and tongue is a hell No! Wife would fight you over the soup.
Bro, this video had laughing pretty good. You and Marleen reminded me of pagie and I when it comes to eating. I eat everything from rattlesnake to Nutria rat. Pagies like hell no, I'm not eating that. Great video bro. Had us laughing. 😂😂
It was fun making it for you all🙌🏼😝We had lots of funny moments. I actually love all that food and hope to bring more of this in the future. Our regards to Pagie🤗

Hello there, you would have to check out the Palm Beach area. There are many to choose from.

Oof, Jambo, Marleen is DEFINITELY not going to eat that, I hated jambo growing up.
Haha, most hate it!
Before I put food in my mouth it has to pass the eye & nose appeal test.Probably could do the goat but the soup and tongue is a hell No! Wife would fight you over the soup.
Haha I fully understand it my friend🤭😝 I will eat just about everything once. Sometimes you can be surprised☺️

My opinion of the Jambo soup hasn't changed. YUCK, YUCK, YUCK! Glad you enjoyed it, but I side with Marlene on this one.
