Visited Aruba in 2019 with my best friend. We went into Oranjestad we found The Pastechi House and had lunch there. It was very affordable. We tried some different pastechi and had some refreshing fresh fruit drinks there too. Loved it! Keep up the great work Hyro! Love your videos!!

@@LetsgowithHyro Went to Cafe Marily last week. Wife and I each got the goat stew, and the same two breads as you got (sorry forgot names). The best compliment I can give is the food tastes homemade. Thanks for sharing these restaurants and the bakery in Santa Cruz, I've been to the West Deck, awesome food and drinks..perfect location! Great job with the drone shots of Playa ! Another tip, maybe you can do a video about your favourite spots to buy Sunday BBQ, my favourite is King Ribs in Madiki/Ponton! Cheers, Hyro, can't wait to drink a Balashi!

I stayed by the superfood mart and can eat at the Daily Fish everyday. Amazing fresh local fish and seafood which you can either take home or have them grill / fry for you. Served simply with french fries and coleslaw, it is exceptional and very affordable!

The West Deck is are favorite place to eat in Aruba. It's always our first getting to Aruba and last meal leaving.

There is so much good food in Aruba. You have to make another video. My. Favorite was Origin Cafe. Also liked Eduardos beach hut behind Playa Linda hotel.

The west deck has some really good food. Those fried plantains are sweet like a desert. Need some ice cream with them. Love it.

Quick question: In one of your videos you mentioned a "Salt Pond" where the sand/salt?? was sparkly...what is that place called, and where is it please?
Hello Kendra, welcome aboard😊 That salt pond is behind the Malmok houses. It doesn’t really have a name. Google map search Ocean Z and you should be pretty close to it, otherwise its hard to explain😊

West Deck is awesome, one of my favorite spots. Balashi’s are pretty good, I’m more of an Amstel Bright guy. You can’t find them in the states.
I’m more of an Amstel Bright guy too but I actually liked the Balashi this time, it was very good!

My daily breakfast was chicken or tuna pastechi and coffee.
Frankly, I never tried any other local food in my 4 years stay. I cooked my own Indian food everyday

Definitely liked the content. Our first week there we stayed at the great Victoria City hotel and walked past the Pastechi house 5 or 6 times a day without stopping in. Obviously, that was a big mistake. See you next time Pastechi house...

It's Seri Noka situated in Santa Cruz. Very close to the Huchada.

Over time and with the migration of people from all over the Caribbean, the name transformed from “journey” cake to “johnny” cake due to the multitude of accents, dialects and pronunciation of words.

Hello Hyro, I was wondering, what do you think is the best way for a cruiser to experience Aruba? I booked UTVs, but then I watched a video saying you don't recommend that for the landscape and it's got me wanting to cancel. So you have recommendations?
Hello Laura, I think the best way is to rent a car or jeep to drive around. You can get to most places with just a (non 4x4) car except the Natural Pool/Conchi. Jeep's are a lot more comfortable but more importantly a lot safer too.

Hey Hyro. Been watching your videos. Love ‘em. I’ll be in Aruba January 2024 with my girlfriend. Coming from Canada I’m guessing I could just bring US dollars and I can exchange at the bank there if needed. Won’t have to do the exchange math all the time. Aruba looks amazing !
USD works everywhere. About 1 $ to 64cents Aruban. Check out Zeerover for local fish ang shrinp.
Hello Bryan, yes bring US$ and you can use it (without exchanging to Aruban Florins) just about everywhere. Some establishments will not accept $100 bills.
@@LetsgowithHyro ok sounds good. One more question. I am renting a small car over a jeep as it’s wayyyy cheaper for the 2 weeks I’m there. Are there places to park a small car on the east side and just walk on foot to see some of the excursions sites ? Maybe I’ll do a ATV tour to get that done and out of the way as to not get the car stranded anywhere. Lol. I wouldn’t do that but night not to get to see sites off the beaten path.

Origin Cafe was excellent. Real food, real people, and lots of choices. The Cunucu burger was great! Was just there last week. Give it a try!
