I think it's so interesting how everyone is constantly giving all these tips on images and gifs and design, and no one says a word about the fact that most people have no clue or energy to change the standard setting in their phone to not automatically show pictures. So many of the subscribers will not be able to see them, and yet it seems like everyone is designing them without having this in mind.
Email design trends are evolving fast, and it's interesting to see how brands are adapting. The tips on using GIFs and mobile-friendly layouts are spot-on!
I'm relieved to hear the tip about creating all-image emails. I design emails for a small business and have been trying to convert to using the email platform to create emails instead. Now, I'm more confident about sticking with the all-image layout. Great video BTW!
Wow, Kasey Luck always nails it with these insights! Just like the email trends she is predicting for 2024, the key to improving campaigns lies in mastering tools like Mystrika. With its detailed analytics, I could finally see what was working and what was not in my cold emails. Anyone who is serious about cold emailing should check them out. A/B testing with 26 variations? Total game changer. More content on tools like Mystrika would be great, Kasey!
Such a helpful video! Thank you! Would love to see even more videos on design. How to create the gifs, what size images to use (if using Canva for example to create designs)

Your video on email design trends is spot on, Kasey! To get the most out of those tips, Mystrika can be a real asset. Their tag management and AI writing features have taken my cold emails to another level. Plus, the 5000-user Facebook community is super supportive. Plans start at $19/month and it is been worth every penny. cannot wait for more videos from you, maybe on the best email platforms like Mystrika?
I have found your UA-cam channel just yesterday and dived into your tutorials. Thank you so much for such informative videos! I feel much more confident thanks to them. Thank you so much! P.S. I will definitely use typography-based gifs for my next email campaign.
This video is just what I needed, Kasey! Your tips combined with Mystrika nearly doubled my open rates. Their preheader feature has been particularly useful in grabbing attention. Plus, the pay-once-use-forever deal is a huge win. I cannot recommend Mystrika enough for anyone serious about cold emailing. Could you do a more in-depth video on tools like these next time?
This was so helpful. I do have a few questions. 1. Does anyone know how to create a gif with typography? A secondary question to that is: if you are using all image email design, how do you embed Gifs into the image to keep a seamless look? The same goes for buttons and call to action...if the design is all one image, how do you place active buttons in certain parts of the image without breaking it up? 2. What is the ideal size of an all image email both in pixels and inches when optimized for your mobile phone?
Awesome video, thank you! What width size in pixels would you create for mobile? And would love videos on how to import clipped jpgs into Klaviyo! Thank you!!
Thanks for this. I love the fact that the picture one at the end is engaging but it's far from 'accessible' as you describe it as. It's probably the opposite sadly. I work for an organisation that basically says that any images in emails is a no go as it's not compliant with screen readers for people with visual impairment. Basically if I produced an email like that for the business I would get hauled across the coals. It's really tricky as it's clearly the best one. I appreciate that alternative text gets around this but you'd have to separate the email up into a grid and that gets you back to the same place you were commenting with the ones that don't format well on phones....
Very informative! Thank you. What program did you use to make a video like this? I like how the viewer can see you scrolling as well as you explaining at the same time.
Emails comprised entirely of images as a trend in 2023? I'm surprised to hear you recommend this, to be honest. In my experience, brands often resort to this as a quick and easy fix without understanding the potential negative consequences. You mentioned that it's very accessible. However, all-image emails are the exact opposite of accessible. While it might be a trend among some brands you follow or work with, I would argue that it's a very negative trend.
hey Jasper, thanks for your comment! I believe it's a trend because I see WAAAAY more all-image emails in my inbox today than I did 2-3 years ago (where there was a lot more HTML coding). And I'm subscribed to hundreds of brands (i have a separate inbox just for email subscriptions). I don't say it's very accessible; what I believe I said in the video (and what I say generally about this) is that there IS a way to make it accessible. I didn't go in depth on how to do it here, because it's beyond the scope if this video, but brands should definitely use ALT text and have all the copy in the images on the backend as alt text. I do say that one of the advantages of all-image design is that it helps emails look better in dark mode - would you agree with that?
Great video! I would like to see a video about how to make an all image email. I'm asking myself, how do you make call to actions clickable in an all image email?
I had the same question- you mentioned a button in the email that didn't preform in dark mode, which I assume lead back to the website. It seems like the downfall of all one image design is that you can only link one link (instead of multiple links for each item that is featured.) Thanks for the great video @kaseyluck
The gifs are a great idea as an animator I can do them in a few seconds. I will recommend this to my team since are static emails aren’t getting anywhere
In any external design editor - Canva, photoshop, Figma. I wouldn’t design it in one image, though - I’d slice it up in multiple images and upload them one by one.
@@KaseyLuck sometimes it is difficult too match patterns or other graphics if I slice the images. But in one image it is easy. but for deliverability it is a better idea to mix up.
@@KaseyLuck There is an Update Profile Property drop in feature in Klaviyo within the flows section but I'm not setting it up right. I'll find someone to help me. Thanks!
Is there a limitation in graphic height size when when using Microsoft Outlook? I thought I read there was a max height of 1728 for one graphic. I guess that's why you break them up into smaller sizes maybe?
Hey! I've been designing (in my own creative) emails for my client the past few months. Can I send you some tests and hear your opinion about it? Because I'm not really sure if I should continue doing it haha thanks!

Hi! How do you create a narrower layout in MailChimp for mobile???
Hey Sara, that's a question for MailChimp support!
@KaseyLuck thank you!
Do you know how to update via SMS flow for a profile property for the "First Name" property of a profile?
Hmm not sure what you mean… to update a profile property, you need to go to said profile. You can’t do that from a flow or sms.
@@KaseyLuck There is an Update Profile Property drop in feature in Klaviyo within the flows section but I'm not setting it up right. I'll find someone to help me. Thanks!
Is there any tool or platform where this type of images can be created for free

What's the magic ratio of image and text if I design in canva so the email doesn't go to the promotion tab?
All was amazing, but was is "ALT TEX" ? thanks
alternative text - what shows up instead of images in code or for people who have images disabled by default
How this gif are made
What are the best dimensions that show well on both desktop and phone?

Is there a way to add an opt out button in a gmail email?
