I love how the eye test says “If you’re reading this, you have good vision” funny and clever detail of Lego’s part!
sean arnold thanks for telling me that. I was trying to figure out what it spelt
7:30 Best use of a Light Brick EVER!
6:34 "If you can read this you have good vision"
:D
Teddy bear, scissors, saw, tree, hammer, bike, teddy bear, scissors, ... and I'm sorry Doctor but I can't read what's below.
Lol Spaceballs reference maybe
We need a Lego City school with this exact quality. Imagine a school with 11 minifigures, 2 stories, some actual depth, for only 100 dollars.
It's so well done that it brings bad memories from real hospital...
Prénom Nom lol
My grandmother had to be in a hospital for a week some months ago, so the set reminds me of this time..
My only qualm with this set is that there are no figures in gowns. Granted, the print for that wouldn’t be too detailed, but I think it would be nice to have a gown so that figures wouldn’t have to be operated on in their street clothes. Other than that, this set is fantastic! The modular style of it makes it so easy to customize and add new floors. Aaaaah this set is so great.
This is what I have been waiting for, for years 😂
If you add a baseplate, some pieces for an elevator and garage plus other things this is an amazing build and personal project.
A lego set showing my profession! Never thought i would see a optometry build. Now i have to get this.
I bought this with couple of other sets as a Christmas gifts for our kids . I can't wait to build this one!
If I get this set, I'm leaving that fish sticker out of it haha
me too, poor baby...
10:42 well thanks for putting that image into my brain forever
Am I the only one missing the days when Lego would include base plates with big sets like this? I know it would likely significantly increase the price but it looks so much more complete with a base plate I think
It would be good wouldn't it, however I think on the whole it's a good idea not to include one, as some people won't want a baseplate and the people who do want one can simply just buy one :)
you are defiantly not the only one. I even miss the custom one with a drive path for ambulance (in this case)
BRAW BRICKS yes you can buy one but they're either genetic road plates or the plain colour ones, the specialised ones for hospital, police or even pirate sets was what made the vintage sets so attractive I think
20:30 I completely understand the baby head change. With the neck it makes it easier to move and remove the read as a piece. Like adding the groove onto a slope or tile piece.
Plus, it looks a little more "realistic" in proportion (baby actually looks like it has a neck now).
I hope LEGO makes small sets to accommodate the hospital. Maybe they could make the other sets have 1 figure each and be in an emergency or in need of the ambulance/hospital. Even if it might be a little dark
So excited for this new hospital set I do want LEGO to do more stuff like this, love this
If you read the optometry chart it said
If you can read this you have good eye sight LOL
they did a good job with the ambulance this time! Like the little entrance for the ambulance to bring in patients!
“Please state the nature of the medical emergency.”
Milenko Jakovljević - TNG here as well, I enjoyed VOY too.
Agree, a 1x2 grill piece would finish off the front of that ambulance nicely.
I love the open plan completed style. Great video Jang👍👍
Wow a new hospital
12:45 60179 Ambulance Helicopter! It’s a separate set though, but they do offer bigger helicopters just like he police station, comes with a small chopper and you can get a larger one.
Jang, I have an interesting idea for a sort of "challenge". I wonder if you can tell the difference between Lego bricks and other brands of bricks just by feeling them, assuming they are both the same type of brick.
I put it in 2x speed to save time and when jang talked he sounded like an extremely happy hyper kid, especially when he talked about the jellyfish on the wall with the face. Lol
Wow, fantastic set!
7:39 I love how the "wrist joint" is actually a cross section of a minifig hand in a minifig arm socket. That's great.
Didn't catch that detail but yeah... love that level of detail.
The helipad at the hospital I used to work at was just a small patch of grass next to the parking lot, so that orphaned Lego helipad would have been a step up for us.
Seems like a very good set that could be bought in multiples to make a large scale hospital. I like the modular units and the depth is astounding! Nice job Lego and Jang!
Great set. Having the stretcher attached to the helicopter like that reminds me of M.A.S.H. Thanks for sharing!!!
Gotta say, before I watched your videos, I would’ve barely even realized what those curved print areas on the torso represented
I would love to see a medivac/lifeflight helocopter. I've actually ridden in one, and I actually really enjoyed it X3 (It helps that the reason I was going by air instead of by ambulance was the distance involved, not the extent of my injuries) so I've been fond of them ever since, so it would be great to get a medium sized chopper, not the size of the recent coast guard set, but big enough to fit a stretcher inside with maybe a flight nurse, but ideally small enough to land on a helipad.
ROTSTarge the closest one I've seen to your description is the Lego 60179; however, it doesn't easily land on helipads as it has ski landing gear for mountain rescues but some slight modification could probably get it to work. But has flight paramedic, and room for a stretcher as well as IV drip and a vital monitor sticker
I remember the older hospital set had one one guy who is in this set but instead of carrying flowers he fell on a banana 😂
I like the aquatic life graphics, for better or worse. It's endearingly cute in a weird way.
As a school paramedic myself it's really sad to see how Lego didn't put as much effort into their Ambulant and medical line up as with police or firefighters. Lego still hasn't been making a single ambulance set for a while now, all we have is this and the helicopter. I really wish they gonna make a standalone ambulance soon
JerKKeR yeah I agree 100%
Well good luck I'm taking it a step further and I'm gonna become a surgeon (hopefully)
JerKKeR well other than the plane and the helicopter they have released in the last couple of years it does appear that they don’t make as much medical stuff as they do police and fire. The last time we got a stand-alone ambulance as a set was about 2012 or 2013 so a while ago anyway. I do think it’s the best medical based set we have got so far from Lego though. Here’s hoping it sells well enough that they consider making them more often and leaving it available for quite some time yet.
I think I am getting this set just because you did a great job entertaining me about the details.
I love your videos Jang your videos helped me get through a dark time in my life and with out you I don’t know if I would be here today. Road to 1 million subscribers!
All of our local hospitals have landing pads off to the side of the buildings.
This is awesome. The ambulance looks a good bit like the Pizza Van Lego City set. But it's still quite different in build too, that's cool. My son has the Pizza Van set and was quick to point that out.
Guy with the green sweater at 18:15 looks like Ned Flanders
brickbuilder711 wow he does
I like how you keep the Brickset page up a while longer and towards the end. Puts the details of the set in a better context.
I always follow Jang’s reviews and buy lego sets only when I have seen the review of his sets. The sam3 way today I bought the lego hospital from lego city as it was well reviewed only by Jang.
Narayana Susarla I do the same and mine is coming next week
Yes
Now all day I’m going to think of a jellyfish eating a baby. 👼
Galaxy _Gaming ...cracked me up
Finally! After 40+ years we get a great hospital. Good review of a great set. One of my top picks for 2018 sets.
all your video's make me happy
I love this, it’s a must buy for me. I hope it sells well so LEGO will make more hospital related sets.
Congrats on 1 million subscribers Jang! You deserve it! Don’t stop making great videos for us all!
I love the large sticker for the eye test chart. Just because it says "If you can read this you have good vision"
I was just going to comment this exactly, but searched first, and found yours. Neat detail.
That's a cool set :) thanks for reviewing it and encouraging me to build lego more and more!
Thanks for reviewing this, definitely going to pick it up. Love the x-ray projection feature and of course the baby in blue. It's small, but easy to modify for a nice fit with the expert modulars.
I wasn’t thinking of getting this set but this review made me want to
9/10 set 👏👏👏👏👏
I agree I think they could have made some mini figures with some gowns
That light brick feature brings me back to its use in the Agents truck in 2008.
the graphic design in this set is excellent
Knew you were going to say that about the studs on the ambulance. Lol!
It is as good as it looked in the photos! Can't wait for mine to arrive this week. So excited! What a fantastic set! Hoping this is the new benchmark for LEGO City buildings! Great review as always!
Thank you jang for all the hard work you put into your channel! I’ve been watching it since herofactory breakout
I had a feeling you would review the hospital pretty quickly after that big Lego haul you made earlier! But it really does look good, lots of play features and details, not to mention that X-ray machine that glows on the wall, that's really cool!
the hospital right by my house has a helipad both on the roof and on the ground. one is just for a quicker access to the ER where the other is transport to another hospital or bring one in not because they are in an emergency but because specialization in care.
I'm really excited for this set. I may need to get a few to make it builder
Happy you reviewed this Hospital as the first city set you review!
And I really, really like the fact that the whole building is designed in a way that looks good on every angle, instead of being 'half of building' like most of other lego structures. :D Will be very jealous seeing anyone affords & brought this set.
Wow! This is super cool. It seems a lot more like classic LEGO with today’s detail integrated in it.
Glad you reviewed this. This is probably one of my favourite sets of this year. This just shows how good the designers were when they were asked to create a hospital. I have spent a fare amount of time in hospitals and I think that this does a pretty good job of recreating it. I think that there are so many useful pieces in this. I might have to buy more than one of this though. All for £70 in the uk that is a really good price. Probably one of the best value city sets you could get. I can’t wait to get this.
I am so happy it's £70! With all of the high priced sets lately in the UK, I was beginning to to think that the days of reasonably priced sets were over, but this proves that they aren't - hopefully more sets in the future have prices like this :D
So hyped for your 1 million!
Im looking forward to buying 2 or 3 of these and then making a large retro looking Lego hospital. Good video as always Jang! Cheers
10:40 Thanks alot JANG! Now it cant be unseen !
Do you really think "alot" is a word?
Looking at the Lego Friends Heartlake Hospital, which is the same price for an arguably bigger building, one could conceivably replace the pastel elements with primary colors (red instead of fuschia, navy blue for lavender, etc.) and combine it with this set to make a larger hospital.
thanks alot jang now i cant unsee the jellyfish! lol
You are sooooo close to 1 million subs!! Great review as usual jang!
We got this set at our local toy shop reduced at £50 which personally I think is a great price for what you get, the light brick X-Ray feature is a great feature I think. I'm also fine with the Helipad being a separate build as here in the UK we dont have such big hospitals like in the US, so our helipads arent usually on the roof of the hospital, I actually work in a hospital and our Helipad is just off at the side of the hospital by the A&E department (the equivalent of the ER in the US).
Overall, especially for the price I paid I think this is a great set.
WOW Really need this!
Great vid i was thinking about getting this set and your review helped with the decision
Glad to see you back!
I like the set, lego was thinking
Looks nice, I like the modularity of it, could plug in new wings of the hospital at a later time.
It looks like they took some inspiration from your custom enterprise medical center! You are the best, keep up the good work!
well jangbricks they probably put it to the side for better play and make it more real because i live in australia and the local hospital in on ground level and they run straight to the emergency area instead of waiting for a elivator i got the set as well its nice and i evan have a make shift helipad area of to the side of the hospital and it works really well
Thank you for that image. What has been seen cannot be unseen....
I remember that light feature being me favourite part of the original Agents line
That X-Ray function FTW! That's just an awesome application, just wants some slides with the light brick.
Looks amazing
Cool set and the detail of the hospital is fantastic
You hit 1 Million subs! Congrats! Btw I subbed!
So glad that Lego Released a hospital set cause it has been a long time since they made a Paramedic set.
That's a good value for 100.
The minifig with the glasses looks like Harry Potter!
I really like this set! It’s amazing! I’m very surprised by how well the X-ray works with the light brick, that’s done perfect!
I can't remember the last time I saw a lego Hospital set.
This set is very cool.
The helicopter needed to have better patient storage though.
Alan Yale I got the last lego city hospital set and it was so awful.. it was called helicopter base or something, and it costed the same but this set is much bigger
Additionally: the middle 2 doctors totally look like Dana Scully and Dr. House
I'm so glad Lego finally made a hospital that wasn't windows and 2 studs back of space.
Imma now get this set. Lego really should sponsor you
Funny thing i did get this for my birthday right now
Good review. I got this set and built it yesterday. I was so impressed. It is awesome.
Love this set it has a lot of nice details, great review as usual 😀👍😀
Wow did the wheelchair and babyfig really come out 3 years ago??
Probably one of the best LEGO UA-camrs out here
I have one complaint with this the fact that ONE ambulance has 16 stickers on it (more then half of all in the set)
When I looked at my notifications and saw this I was like: *"yearryeah!!"* wriggiling on the bed!
There are some rural hospitals that have helipads in the parking lot in Oklahoma where I live. Its odd, but it probably does the trick when they really need it.
West Valley Hospital, a major hospital for the area near me, also has a helipad outside in the parking lot near the ER entrance.
Awesome set! Good job on 1M and I'll subscribe.
