Hi Ms. Graves, As an old Lowrey salesman from the 60's and 70's and a Stardust owner...I can honestly say that the digital organs of today are truly "Orchestreal Instruments" that have no limitations other than the ones the player sets themselves. You have demostrated what I say is true Your.excellent demo of the instrument proves that. Best regards, Jerry
Wow...this is the first time I've ever applauded in front of my computer screen! This gal is terrific! I watch all kinds of organ you-tube video..and all the various artists..you Lori are TOPS! Excellent registrations, perfect timing, great clear video and sound quality as well! For sure you are to be added to favorites! Oh yeah...even though I'm partial to Roland At 90SL and Technics FA series..(I own several.) I must give the organ a bit of praise as well! Great performance! Well Done.
OMG! Lori, this is awesome, fantastic, super, stupendous, classy and whatever other adjectives I can use to describe this playing!!! I'm so glad you'll be my organ teacher starting this week! WOW! Thanks!
LORI, that was fantastic. Your organ is amazing and so was your playing. I have Lowrey Sensation. The Star Wars piece I watched earlier was also brilliant and invigorating. I have played No 2 in many concert halls on piano. And many other of Listz's pieces. Thankyou. Keep it up. Bob.
I love the arrangement that you keep stored in your head!!!! Whomever said the classics should be layed only as written oviously have NEVER performed at Carnegie!!!! Have fun doing what you do!!!! You are amazing. I love how you lay 2 octaves at the same time! Hard to and cramp causing in some!!!! beautiful, amazing and specacular!!!!
I owned a few Lowery's back in the 80's and had a great time with them. They can do a lot, but it takes real talent to get this kind of sound out of a couple of keyboards and a foot pedals. :)
Yes they can and I started on a Lowery Holiday. I LOVED the sound of Lowrey then. I still own an old one...AND a Hammond T500. I now prefer the Hammond. Lowrey now seems to be more a "juke box" where you punch a bunch of buttons to get chords. Lots of unnecessary lights and doodads catering to the retired set. Played correctly like Ms Graves, they STILL are awesome! Played with the Genie and "magic chords" thingy, they sound kinda fake to me. I like my old Lowery better! But mostly play the Hammond now. It makes you WORK and LEARN!
The organ wether, pipe or digital are amazing instruments, you can do so many things,on these 'The King of Instruments,"they take music to a more beautiful demention, that cannot be described, one has to experience this instrument,to really appreciate all its virtues. That includes all of them Allen Organ,Lowrey,Ruffatti, and Wurlitzer, even though baldwin and Wurlitzer are both now owned by Gibson guitar, company, organs are great.thank God for these instruments.
Playing this on a pipe organ would be difficult if not impossible because the action of the organ could not keep up with the tempo of of the music. Even this version is of more moderate tempo than Liszt originally composed because even an electronic organ imposes some limitations. For an up-to-full-tempo version of this see Valentina Lisitsa's You Tube channel. Unlike the mechanical-sounding Lang Lang, she hits all the emotional keys perfectly.
Yes I perform fairly often. You can go to my website by spelling lorigraves with a . com after it and click on the section that is listed as "Where's Lori"
pure enjoyment and incredible talent. I am looking forward to more videos on youtube. Are you still playing concerts? If so is there a website I might be able to find your schedule? Thank you so much
Amazing ! Lowrey reproduce digital sampling great Steinway Piano sound, and orchestra digital sample, with digital drums ! I suppose the Lowrey have a MIDI interface, perhaps USB port ! Is it compatible with GENERAL MIDI files, perhaps GENERAL MIDI 2 !
CUTE! -- I can see Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd running around the place in sheer pandemonium! GREAT PLAYING - BOTH VIDEOS of this concert! Curious if you ever played on a real organ, like a WulriTzer Theater Pipe Organ? Would love to see what you could do with one of those!
Neuentdeckung persönlich! - Ausgezeichnete Organistin auch bei der Interpretation von klassischen Kompositionen,- gute Registrierung der Register,- sowie ausgewogenes Handling bei dem Spiel auf der Orgel! - sehenswert!
Lori Graves,is an amazing musician, and can play any piece, including the famous piece she is playing the hungarian Rhapsody,by Franz Lizst,it sounds great on an organ, too bad it was never given lyrics,a great lyric tenor, would do it justice, just like the organ the king of instruments,Thank God.Amen.
+Wilbur Snaffel Lowrey not only still makes organs, they advance the virtual orchestra technology every year. The new ones are AMAZING even the lower end instruments are really good. I am on My third one now, and may eventually upgrade. But probably not for awhile yet. kevlutu
I liked the 1st 1/2. Good variety of sounds though. Those strings still sound phony though. Still, pretty good. I wonder if she can play the original? ha!
Lovely. Beautifully played. However, if this was what was considered "romantic" at the time, I'm surprised the human species survived. But keep going...it's still beautiful music.
I heard an organ for a split second at around 5 minutes. So this can sound like an organ too? Uh' wow. Why does that organ have a back on it? So people sell their houses move to Florida and buy Lowrey's. I have 6 organs that I've invested $500 total in. If you are older and want to play the organ get a used organ. I saw a Lowrey GX-2 for $300 today here in Ohio on Craigslist. Last week I saw an MX-1 Lowrey for $100! So you need not invest thousands of dollars. I play Wurlitzer 4500,625t & a 31
Two years ago I got my Lowrey Royale for twenty-five dollars ($25.00 not a misprint!!) from an online estate auction! Bought it sight unseen and it is in BEAUTIFUL shape.
Really?? you performed the original Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 at the age of 14 at Carnegie Hall? What happened??? Why did you not become a pianist? I would love to see you go back to the piano and play this wonderful piece for us............ This organ arrangement may have been fun, but it sounds horrific (still fun to watch, but ughhh!). Phony strings and fake piano :( Give us the real deal Lori, you can do it! :D
She had a great opening and then she switched the rhythm on! Why couldn't she have just played it as it's written, it would be much better. The automatics let the whole show down in my book. That's what kills electronic organ.

I remember hearing this and tons of other classical arrangements on Loony Toons back when I was a kid in the 70s. :)

Antonio é Isabél.-
Somehow this reminds me of Tom and Jerry. I liked how the piece goes all "Hooked On Classics" from 3:40 onwards.
Lori, your playing is absolutely extraordinary. A true pleasure to listen to,
Magnífico, Bravo !
fabulous
Just brilliant.
Wonderful!

"Unique" is certainly an understatement.
Great you had the pipe organ on the upper manual and a piano on the lower manual.
Absolutely brilliant
Thank you Ken!

Okay, so after the formal part, I love where the Kama Sutra comes in and after a run through the house, the garden, the woods, they finally get it on.
That's really cool...
Yes, I performed the original at Carnegie at the age of 14.
With this organ arrangement I was just having fun with it.
Wunderbare Musik!🌠🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I change my presets with the right foot switch inside the volume pedal.
Amazing !

@EclecticOrgan This song is FABULOUS!!! May I PLAESE use it for my show? I'll give credit and a link to your channel.
@MLDG100 Thank you sssoooo much! :D

No, the arrangement is loosely based on the original piano version in C# minor and arranged in my head. Sorry
Mooi!
Jonathan I watched some your videos. Go ahead and have some fun with this video.
Good Luck
Spetacular
3:18 is beautifull
I consider Rhapsody #2 by Listz to be the hardest piano piece to play.

@@kevlutu Just wondering... Did you ever upgrade?
Is that a Theater Organ?
I want this in DDR
I liked the 1st 1/2. Good variety of sounds though. Those strings still sound phony though.
Still, pretty good. I wonder if she can play the original? ha!
this is in tom and tom and jerry :D
Dear Ms. Graves,
Is your arrangement of Hungarian Rhapsody commercially available.
Many Thanks...
Sorry Lori.... the "P" seems to be acting up on my laptop :-( Might have something to do with the Coke i spilled on it a month ago!!! LOL
