I HAVE to get my daughter to one of these classes. The problem is what I want, and what my daughter does are 2 very different things lol. Do you ever offer these classes around Michigan or Ohio?
They have training centers all over. Just Google maps it. But yeah I highly recommend this to your daughter.
Jiu jitsu is literally the goat combat sport for women’s self defense. Since it’s about all the grappling scenarios, that are the worst case scenario for a woman. It’s also fun and a really comfortable environment in most gyms.
I’d look for a Dafirma training center near you. I’m enrolled in one in Chesapeake, and I remember seeing one over in Virginia Beach. I bet they’ve gotta be in every city you can find. Plus, all the people I know at dafirma are kind and supportive. I bet your daughter would make some friends there while learning some kickass moves!
Make it as convenient as possible. Get her to practice with her friends because it'll be better than nothing. Enroll her in the Gracie online program.
I am 68 and have taken several styles of martial arts over the years. Against a single opponent...jui jitsu is your best bet. However, if you are fighting multiple attackers, you will be vulnerable after taking your opponent to the ground and applying a submission hold. (His friends will kick you while on the ground)
The self defense curriculum addresses that. This video shows no one taking it to the ground for a submission.
Awesome Vid💪🔥🔥
Please add a rear choke defense to combatives.
You can learn standing rear choke defenses in the blue belt stripe 1 course 👍 (Gracie University 👉 Master Cycle)
@@LemieuxJiuJitsu can't wait!
best as usually
👍👍👍
I don't know how to roll. I know close the distance and takedown, and I know a lot of joint locks, but I don't know how to roll to get a dominant position. The BJJ people seem to be the best at controlling a ground fight, from the video I have seen of fights.
Most of my ground work comes from Silat and some Escrima. I am not confident on the ground. I want to move to Torrance and train Jiu-Jitsu for the rest of my life.
Sun glasses
Eye is to mind
As gun flashes blind
Rewind the tape but this CD is key
To the digital sound around on the ground
I light up to try to tuck the danger
Stranger things like life hinges on squeak
Each week I seen a green person
Who lurks in darkness waiting to hurt Men
And Women
My Silat isn’t enough
I probably won’t get shot but that’s all I got
The Jiu-Jitsu on the ground
Is the round the realm down set the trend
Self Defense Health Meditation Practice
I back this fully with what I’ve seen with the team
I shot a dream to block the Tree Branch
Avalanche of Ground Fighting Advanced!
I’m the Killer
Who chill and blow wind around
Kids pick them off their feet in the Street
Like set up track meet pistol shot in the air
As crystal clear as fair in this beware the witness
Of this seen it crisp how I done twist them up
My fiend is truck to buck off the soft crossed up
Enough let’s bleed this like speed around the ground
Found weight for skate on this late down
I try to relax and long impact is a maximum
Death results from this rap and from the Gun
Let’s release the fight and chill in tight
Positions the mission is submission
With minimal friction no fiction we picked in
The business what is this?
I Trip Hit and Split the fight going down tonight
To the ground like fights ignite
I seen the pounds drop and click pop
Choreography with a cooperative partner is nice, but IRL it's a different story.
So don't train then?
Did you just assume the attacker would be male 😮?!!?
What are the odds?
Я за феменизм❤фемкомм навсегда
That second one was the dumbest thing I have ever seen, that will nevr work unless you have a massive weight advantage
How do we know for sure the woman in question wasn't a he/him or a they/them? It's 2024, after all.
Because who really cares but virtue signalers and delusionals?
Why is your personality so messed up that you thought you had to post that?
Why are there no groin strikes with fist elbow knee foot or elbow. You must cripple your opponent with a knee smash or ankle to prevent him from pursuing. Pulling a thumb or throat and eye jabs may be necessary. A heel on the instep rear headbutt to the chin. A person has seconds to respond. These moves are excellent, yet when not simulated combat a woman should not hesitate to use nails teeth etc. I was once attacked by three large Korean men trying to drag me into a large brown Cattilac on Power in road when I was 28 but I probably looked like a skinny kid 21 or less. They pulled in front and behind and grabbed me. All outweighed me. Only my training in martial arts since childhood, and especially Shoto Khan and Jui Jitsu by Sensei Shilosky saved me from likely horrible traumas torture and death. I have since learned of the horrible things done to young women and young men who are feminine looking (especially if not homosexual). I used the extended knuckles of my middle fingers to strike the tops of both fists, then pried his fingers while butting his chin white my head, they had already lifted me off my feet. I also yelled at the top of my lungs to a church letting out across the street as I ran from them. This was not the largest opponents I ever fought on the streets, but I was the most frightened. These guys didn't look like they had one ounce of goodness or humanity in their cold dead eyes. I was also much older and more densely muscular than they would have thought.
Thanks for sharing your story. You did an excellent job. It reminds me of the time I was sucker tackled and then mounted. I reached up to claw at his eyes and he screamed and hopped off of me and ran away. I try to keep an open mind and learn these techniques the Gracies teach.
I still to this day have no idea why I was tackled. I had some Silat and Escrima training and clawing the eyes was the best thing I could come up with.
The Gracies teach trap and roll in the Combatives, which is a method of escaping mount and reversing it so you mount them. I was so excited when I saw the technique I almost jumped for joy.
Peace to you! Mike.
Full curriculum does include palm strikes, elbows, groin strikes, etc. It's taught to be used in certain circumstances but you are also encouraged to learn the principles behind the techniques so you can flow between them or improvise on a principled basis. Anything that has a high likelihood to draw blood isn't usually encouraged for health reasons (you never know what can be in someone's blood and you don't want that getting on you if you can help it) and regular punches or protruding knuckle strikes are also usually discouraged due to the higher probability of breaking a finger or wrist with no glove/wraps on your hands. Glad you were able to make it out of the situation.
Brandish an axe
Blades fast
As Y
Flash the task or die
I rehashed the Sun Splash
Never dry
We relax Eye
And get higher than the slaughter
It’s over
And over the shoulder we Cold as roll into ball
We crawl
Light relax and draw in and out the breath
Take eight steps in eight directions
Bet you get it
Don’t sweat it
We don’t threaten it
The externalists wet in it with blood caked
On Weapons
Broken down into sections
These moves you suggest might work, but if they don't, you're going to sleep, maybe forever.
You can't headbutt your way out of a rear naked choke.
Eve you should really wear a fat suit for you’re new video some other day or week?
