higher dead zones setting heavily affect your reaction time so make sure they’re as low as they can get once your drift is fixed

How do u do it because the Xbox accessories app look different and updated now I went to pencil but after that only the mapping showed up

Even though the delayed sensitivity curve didn't work surprisingly the blowing into the stick actually fixed the whole drifting issue so thank you so much!!! If only now that would actually work on the Joy-Cons.

This worked like a charm! Controller had drift for about 3 years, and this instantly fixed it! (Still have a VERY slight amount, though its almost non existent.)

Found a elite 2 at my Walmart today and it was $135 cause it was used and got returned. Bought it and came to find out it had decently bad drift in the left thumb stick so now I know why the person returned it. I was like ok the first tip helped but it's still drifting. Then the word of the fucking decade! BLOW! Holy shit it works now. You legend. If only the first guy found this video but hey. Saved me $50

So the problem is caused by dirt in the joystick which makes sense why cleaning the sensor works (cleaning solution/ blowing).
Changing the software settings to mask the issue is just a way of dealing with the symptoms of the issue.

@@Khoithekoifish I know im a month late but it is pretty much how much you move the joystick for it to actually get registered into the game
@@Khoithekoifish the point at which games register the movements you make. beyond the deadzone it will register and do the action you made. Thumbsticks are actually extremely sensitive but depending on the game will make them feel blocky like rainbow six siege.

I ain't gonna lie i had doubts about blowing into it but it did the job
I did some research sometimes stick drift is caused by a build up of dust or dried sweat so it does make sense.
2021 and it worked for me by simply just doing the blowing instructions as instructed. Thanks alot

This helped while I waited for Microsoft to send me a new elite. Got tired of how in Cold War it was sooo hard to navigate the menu cause I had a LITTLE stick drift in my left thumbstick. Now I can actually choose things without getting irritated lol

Buddy said “blowing into the analog stick took the drift away” after attempting to show a way to fix it which doesn’t. They’re designed to drift. That’s why there’s a class action lawsuit against Microsoft.
I will disagree with you on this as I know way to many people including myself that do not nor have they had any drift issues. So to say thats the way they were designed is a complete lie.
