Please do some more. I also just received my new m50. It’s a little overwhelming considering I’ve only ever shot iPhone videos but I’m fast to learn. KEEP THIS SERIES GOING PLEASE
Guy, where's the second part? Thanks.
@@worditoutwoman Just realizing that Im not the only one looking for part 2 :)

thank you!!
Thank you, sooo much! I thought I had to become a Rocket Scientist to learn the features and settings on my new Canon M50.
Thanks for this video. Who else noticed that the Canon m50 mark II doesn't have 1. Fully pressed and 2. That it doesn't have the enhanced in the part you talked about enable, disable and enhanced. Your videos are easier to understand
This is the BEST M50 tutorial I have seen. Thank you!
That's awesome to hear David - super glad it was helpful. Thanks for being a part of the community 🙏
I've only had my M50 for about a couple of weeks, then started looking at other (more pricey) cameras, but these videos have made me love it again and stop looking. For now.
Glad they were helpful and that you saved some $$$
Is it just me or this guy looks like Ross from friends 😂
WE WERE ON A BREAK!!! 😂🤣
@@TechGearTalk Next time you play with an articulating screen on a camera tutorial, scream out PIVOT!
OMG…my exact sentiments 😊
Way better looking and far more likable.
Wow. I told my wife the same thing 😅👍👍
Absolutely the best tutorial on shooting video with the M50, You totally went at my pace to learn this great little camera. Thank you!!
I’m so glad it was helpful, Brent. Thank you for being part of the channel!
My man, you are on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Another gem. You are providing us an amazing service. Thank you!!
Doing my best to help - appreciate all the support!
👍
Thank you.
Thank you so much!! I just picked up one of these cameras yesterday because I am looking to get better video quality for my UA-cam channel. I was THOUROUGHLY confused since I have been previously using a cheap digital camcorder. This video has helped me IMMENSELY!! You da man!!
Sagee is a good man now.
Glad I could help! Thank you for being part of the channel!
THANKS BRO! I’ve just purchased a canon m50 and really needed this so I can ensure my videos are at the best settings!
Pease Do a video telling us what all the little icons mean on the screen when recording because at the moment I have no idea what they mean
Glad it was helpful. I might need to do "part 3" for that! Good idea.
This is a very helpful video. I've just bought the Canon M50 Mark II, and since I am a beginner (a real one), I need a lot of explanations to get started. You have made things clearer for me. Thank you very much!
The menu options shifted around a good bit in the M50 Mark ii. Hope you'll do a similar video for that model!
Literally stumbled across your video yesterday, so this morning after I picked up my M50 from the postoffice, I sat through it and adjusted it with you step by step and cannot thank you enough. The instructions are clear, concise and you take time to explain them. So many UA-camrs rush through a video, but this had the ideal pace to follow along in real time. Looking forward to Part2 and you now have a new subscriber. Thanks again.
So glad the video was helpful and that you were able to set up you new M50 (CONGRATS!!!).
Here is part 2 if you're ready: ua-cam.com/video/jsmaRS0cyYQ/v-deo.html
I just bought a M50 and this was a great tutorial,
looking forward for the nxt one.👍🏻
CONGRATS!!! I appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback. I'm already working on it!
that is a nice setup
Tech Gear Talk which speed booster do u recommend?
I love your videos and learn a lot from them.
....Hi..i am from INDIA and i love to create videos, just started my journey. Can u please suggest your feedback on the videos i am making? Pls..i need your expert opinion.

The Commlite that I used in my M6mkii video ua-cam.com/video/Nir8pfvfdFI/v-deo.html worked well. There is also one by Viltrox that is good.
I watched your M50 video. Very nice editing! I like all the sound effects and transitions.
I’m still deciding if this is what I’m looking for but the explanation and information you give is so helpful, esp for ppl like me that don’t know what any of those settings mean.. I’ve saved this video to rewatch as I need. Thank you for going into detail for us!!
Congrats for your 60k subs! You definitely deserve many more!
Thanks Bob - I'm super grateful for the support 🙏
Hi there . I can't find the part 2 video
I bought M50 one year ago according to your recommendation. actually you replied my comment below one of your video and after a long conversation you answered my questions and finally you recommended M50 according to my needs and my budget.
That is a great camera. I enjoyed it a lot.
I have to say thank you again and I appreciate you spent time and replied my comment and your honest advice. I wish you all the best ❤ You rock
I'm so glad I was able to help and it's nice to see that you're enjoying it 🙏
This was excellent. Thank you for putting it together. Just picked up a Sigma 18-35mm today and paired it with my M50. Looks ridiculous, but the picture out of the pairing is pretty incredible.
CONGRATS!!! That is such a good setup man!!
Sir! Don't know why I've never found you before but you're the best teacher on here. You are a truly trusted source for me from now on. Thank you.
Thank you! This was great! I just got an m50 and learned a ton of stuff here. I use your logic on our own channel when it comes to detailing. Each situation may be different and there are so many variables, one has to choice for themselves through testing. Thanks again, great channel!!
Just got my M50 this week, and have watched about 3-4 video tutorials on how to set up my camera for videos. Your video is clearly at the top of my list. Easy to understand especially the menu buttons which are already driving me crazy.
CONGRATS on the new camera. So glad I was able to help. Welcome to the channel!
Really keen for part two! Thanks for this vid.
Hi Sam, glad you liked it. I'm working on part 2, almost done.

This video has been so incredibly helpful! I've watched a few different videos on the M50 but you got right to the point and didn't overwhelm me with a ton of things I don't need right now. Thank you for your help!!

Great tutorial. Loving the M50. When is part 2 coming. Thanks
Appreciate the feedback Stevie! Working on part 2 now!
I tired to follow other tutorials but none of them are as complete and easy to understand as yours! Thank you!!!
Thank you for this tutorial. I was just sitting and configuring my camera according to this video and you liked my post on Instagram just now, haha :D
Glad it was helpful! Keep shooting!
It was nearly 2 years since I followed you here on YT, finally I already have 3 Cameras but still not posting yet, I just realized that it’s kinda compllicated but thanks for making life easier☝🏼☺️
I am gonna be vlogging soon and I thank you so much for your tutorials.
Appreciate you being with me throughout the journey! The best advice I can give you is to start! accept where you are and publish what you can - get better with practice! I will keep the tutorials coming!
Tech Gear Talk thank you so much✋🏼😎
You're very welcome.
As always, a great tutorial! Do you know if there is a way to lock the shutter speed? There are often times that I accidentally rotate the shutter scroll wheel as I press record and alter the shutter speed; not noticing until after putting the footage into post. Thanks for the awesome videos!
Hi there - thank you for the kind words. I have not seen a way to do that. I'll let you know if I do.
I’ve been scouring the internet for info to educate my first camera purchase, your channel is the greatest content I’ve found. Thanks!
So glad I've been able to help Ethan! Welcome to the channel.
Man went INNNN!… Yes he did!… :0)
I did my best - glad it was useful! 👊
I just got the Canon M50, I'm definitely a novice to cameras.... but your videos have helped me such a great deal, thank you so much for doing this for us. subscriber for life. keep up the great content
So glad the videos are helpful. Appreciate the support Jed!
This was so helpful from the very start of turning on your camera to really make this camera work for you instead of thinking you have to buy a more expensive camera because these features are unknown to you. Thank you so much, you have saved me so much money and creative frustration!
I'm so glad I was able to help!
I got so much out of this entire video, but even if I had only gotten the tip to be able to customize my trash button to turn off the rear screen or the flash button to switch from EVF to the back display... pure gold!
I'm not a beginner, but for some reason I was watching and got addicted to learning the settings even though I knew what they did lol. I really just wanted to see photo and video quality because I'm about to buy the ark ii version and wanted to see differences between the two. Great vid!
Love that shot with leaf on the ground and the car lights in the bg
That EVF trick saved my life. At first i thought my M50 was lagging and the screen shuts off and on by itself. I bought m50 mostly for making videos so this trick has definitely saved me a lot of hustle
Thank you, so helpful I've had this camera for awhile and have felt defeated cause I was clueless about its features. This has brought so much sense and encouragement.
i am a new M50 user. you just saved me. I have been using a camera phone for my vlogs. great video. you put me on the right path

And a lens video for some more tips: ua-cam.com/video/uORT1dfeS0M/v-deo.html
Welcome to the channel!
This is a first, I've struggled with the complexity, and also the diction of many tutors. Not only was your content great, but your presentation was excellent. Clear, concise and free from idiomatic indulgence (if you get my drift?). Just one word I didn't catch, your name??? Thanks for for your help! I'll be back!
Jim, I really appreciate you taking the time to share and I'm glad the approach and delivery resonated with you. Thank you so much for being part of the channel, Sagi.
I've seen a lot of videos about the m50 but honestly I tell you this is the best. I look forward to the second part. Thank you
I'm so glad the video was helpful and very much appreciate the kind words 🙏 Welcome to the channel!!!
Just bought the m50 and I’m already a pro in one day , by watching your videos ! Keep up with the great work.
CONGRATS on the new camera! Glad the videos are helpful. Thanks for being part of the channel!
Thanks a lot. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks so much for a well paced, detailed teaching. I am a community face to face, musician , who now during covid , wants to make videos to connect with the people that I love to play for. Cameras are totally new to me . Your clear visual and conversation style will make it possible for me to learn this magical medium.
Glad I found this. I just picked up this camera and have looked at a few resources for settings. The way you lay this out is perfect for me. I have saved this so I can come back when I go to setup my camera later. On to part 2 now.
I really like that you actually explain why you are choosing a specific setting over another, I feel more comfortable with my m50 now thanks!
Your video tutorials and reviews are the best on UA-cam. period.
Thanks so much brother!
@@TechGearTalk Always welcome
🙏
Wow! This video is helping us fix a lot of the the little problems we've had. Ready to up our game and get some better video and audio!
So glad it’s being helpful.
Thank you for explaining and showing how to get to settings from start to finish. i watched 3 videos before you and they all showed the screen where the change should occur but not how to get to that screen. as a newbie that is so frustrating.
so glad this was helpful. Appreciate the feedback.
@@TechGearTalk Sure thing. Comments are always valuable
This was so helpful and the best of the tutorials i have watched so far.
So glad it was helpful.
Thank you. This was tremendously helpful for me. I'm learning video after 53 years in stills, and I sorely do need the cinematic look. I watched a Potato Jet video where he set a silly rig with $60,000 worth of advanced cine lenses on an M50 just for fun, and I was impressed - thus I'm grateful to you for showing us how it can be done without a silly budget. :)
I'm so glad this video was useful and hope it helps you grow as a creator. Thank you so much for supporting and being part of the channel!
This video was SO useful. I've just ordered my M50 and while it's on its way I decided to watch this video to get my head around what to do and expect when it arrives. You are very good at explaining and it was easy to understand. Thank you
I'm so glad the video was helpful - make sure to check out part 2 for the complete overview. Thank you for taking the time to leave such great feedback and for being part of the channel!
Where did the option go to put the screen to sleep using a button on the Mark ii?
I just bought the M50 today and your videos have been helpful
This the best tutorial I have ever see, thank you sir
Dude you are awesome. I have just bought a M50 and was wanting to figure out how to use the video settings and you have solved my problem. Thank you, and I will be watching more of your M50 tutorials to get the most out of my new camera :)

Super helpful.. Just sat here and followed the steps, took a small detour to download cine-style. While I was at it, I also updated the M50 firmware.. productive day haha, thanks brother. looking forward to the second part.
That’s getting a lot accomplished - good work! And now I know ow there is an m50 firmware update 😂🤣
Just bought the Canon M50 and I will be testing it this weekend. This tutorial was so very helpful. Look forward to watching part 2

Welcome back Sylvia - how was the trip? Glad the video was helpful - more to come!
I keep coming back to learn about my camera! thank you!
Have been a Canon guy. Bought an M50 returned it to get a S__y Z_1 (for the what I thought would be superior focus tracking). Went back and bought the M50 again. The price had gone up $100. But am really really happy with it.
Your the best so far. You explain so we'll. Thanks for sharing your knowledge
man Bc of your vids I got the M50 as well and I do not regret it Love this small camera
I'm super glad the videos have been helpful and that you're happy with your new camera David!
EXCELLENT and very helpful..you'd be a great teacher. If I might suggestion one thing for beginners as well - when I got my camera and started playing around, I couldn't figure out why my settings weren't matching what you were showing....and I FINALLY figured out my camera came delivered with the setting at PAL and not NTSC. Who knew?! For us real basic goofs out there, maybe add this to your Part 1 info.
Thanks for the great info.
