my old car was 320 1984 [328] it was the first car the take me up to 220++ KMH for a moment , it's iconic car I still wish to get younger and get it back.
You shifted too early you could heave squeezed more power changing at 6k rpm. These engines loves to rev you can go up to 6.5k. Safely.I am rebuilding mine can't wait to try it when finished waiting for the new pistons to arrive.
Yeah but for reason my limiter comes in at about 5.8k rpm so thats why i shifted earlier. I believe thats gotta do with the jetronic fuel injection instead of motronic.
First gearing is nothing mean you have short gearing diff, good for launch but bad at top speed and mpg. The video is a long gearing diff example. I think shorter gearing (not too short) is good for the low power m20b20 like mine ;)
Raoul Klink my 320i has the 3.46 and im thinking about swapping it for a diff like yours. How you feel the gearing on yours? Is itoo short? Too long? Or just right?

My first car, i'm 43, still have it, wasn't cheap to keep it running, but every cent was worth it, so fun to drive.

M20b20? Good video 👍
I own 320i and just rebuilt. If you had rebuilt too, 320i should take more quicker response when you give a gas!
If you're talking about the beginning, there i started in second gear, not first gear.
Jordi yes !the first gear is nothing 😂
@@anilec333 thats right thats why i like it, nou can pull very hard

@@robertocarloshernandez2862 The car is my mates, and the gearbox feels short range but is perfect for the car, and pulls good through every gear.
longer gearing 3.46
