Installing A Much-Needed Exhaust On The E30 | Sound's Fantastic!

- Hey Everyone,
Today we are working on the e30 and continuing our quest to make it as fun as possible to drive. First thing on our agenda: the exhaust. The current sound isn't inherently bad, but it's also not really that good. So I went ahead and sourced a catback for the car that I think will be able to help quite a bit.

Just a quick note regarding the blower motor resistor: there's another version, I think for non-A/C cars. These, you can access from the driver's footwell, left and above the loud pedal. It looks a bit different and is not compatible with the part shown in the video.
There's more detailed info to be found elsewhere, just so viewers don't order the part without a closer look.
On the quality of the video: I totally agree with the others - excellent. I must say though that I'm reminded of FortNine videos, the bike channel. Probably because I think you got similar voices or speech patterns. But his videos are also very good, so that's meant as a compliment.
Camera work and angles are getting better bud. The narrative storytelling is working too. Good job dude keep rocking 🤘

I had the same issue with my heater switch, but it wasn’t the switch. It was just a blower motor and I had the same issue as you. It would only work on four. I replaced the blower motor and it works perfectly fine now.
The production value skyrocketed, great job!

Really enjoying this build - find the simple fixes like the blower motor resistor to be some of the most satisfying things to do - although have cut my hands up a few times in and around that motor! The exhaust sounds great - had an Eisenmann on my last E30, and currently have a Larini on my touring - both made a nice improvement to the character of the car. Like your own - nothing too obnoxious, just enough to add some throatiness!
Came to listen to a new exhaust, found out how to fix the fan in my e30, nice!

I bought a 320i last week. It surprised me how silent the car is. I might not buy the same brand of exhaust, but now I get an idea how much of a difference I can expect.

Great video! It takes a lot of time and effort to be your own director, producer and mechanic lol!
The problem with the heater resistor is very common. The Golf MK4 and your TT have the same problem unless you not only have the climate control but an automatic one with selectable temperature. These don't have resistors. So if your TT has the 'Climatronic' you're good there.

is the MPG figures same as the M30? was getting ~ 14 mpg on my E23 733i but also weighed +1000 more pounds than a E30. was alot cheaper than my E32 750 that had a 5.0 V12
