A few things... On the current tour, they've been opening with Creeping Death on one day and Whiplash on the other (Friday and Sunday in each city). Then closing with Master of Puppets at one and closing with Enter Sandman at the other. They typically break the show up into 4 mini 4-song sets for a total of 16 (4x4) songs. This allows enough rest every 20 minutes or so to stay fresh. It also allows them to switch the drum kit from one "quadrant" of the stage (show is in the round) to another so that each section of fans gets up-close looks at the band for 4 songs. (Note: They are using multiple drum kits, but they still need a moment to elevate one and descend the other.) They have videos playing during these breaks to allow the band to rest. The cursing has dropped significantly. James does not use curse words nearly as much. But there are certain moments that happen at most shows. (Rob saying "Motherf***er!" before the last "Die by my hand..." from James in Creeping Death. James screaming "...I shall pass, a-mutha-f***-ah-yeah!" before the last guitar breakdown before the last chorus in the same song. Kirk yelling "F*** yeah!" when they are saying their thank yous to the crowd after the last song. Lars telling the crowd that "Metallica will see you very f"***ing soon!" also when saying their thank yous and goodbyes. Anything beyond all of that is a bonus.)

35:10 This show is apart of a box set, a few shows were shot on 35mm Film and spliced together to create what we now know as "Seattle '89 Live Shit Binge & Purge". The mix in the version you're watching if I'm not mistaken was a 2019 remaster of the original raw tracks. If you want a good example of what their live shows sounded like straight off the board I suggest listening to Metallica - Live in Copenhagen (1991). There's a lot of moments in this show where they cut the shows together quite clearly like Jason switching basses. Also another tid-bit (this is like my third time editing this while watching) NONE of them used in ear monitors.

Making short comments aren’t an issue, I wouldn’t think with most people.

Metallica do play fast songs at the beginning of the concerts pretty frequently. Especially in the 2022 when they used to open setlist with either Whiplash or Hardwired. In the latest 90s they also tended to play something fast at the beginning, something like Breadfan, So What and etc. Even in their 60s they still manage to keep pauses between songs almost insignificant. The obly big pause they do, it is after the Encore before the last 3 songs of the show. Metallica is one of the best band live.

I started listening to Metallica in 2014-2015, I liked some of the songs but the ones that really stuck with me where the ones from that Movie they made called "Through The Never" it was a live show with a substory happening from behind, the show was really cool, great songs from their repertoire and great energy. I dont think the songs are actually live because I remember seeing that they did a "live performance" in an empty stadium and after that they added the crowd with digital effects.
2 more live performances I highly recommend watching, Creeping Death in Moscow 1991. And, this one AJFA performance, I will leave a link to ua-cam.com/video/HbokBTEBEOE/v-deo.htmlsi=VJame-OwhWAHYq4F
The title of this video should be my personal dissertation while playing Metallica songs in the background. Then you talk about Shiny Toy Guns and Taylor Swift’s band? Great! It’s your video, you have the right to say anything you please but maybe try to find some balance here. The guy on the right keeps trying to get you back on topic and then you just go off track and mostly talk about everything else but Metallica. I still like your channel and will continue watching your videos …just some advice from a subscriber.
I definitely want us to check out some more recent videos of them, but doing the video really was hard on my computer so I think we're going to have to stop doing anything with UA-cam or videos for a little while until I can get some better equipment.
Love the videos. I believe patrick said in one of the load videos that he doesn’t like the 90s grunge scene. (I could be mistaken) I highly recommend Alice In Chains not just their heavy studio albums but their ep’s
IMO saying something "you having a good f**king time" is like the equivalent in baseball when someone gets a hit and the yell to the dugout "let's f**king go!" Until I watched Jomboy Breakdown videos I had no idea how common that is to say, but it's become like a reflexive thing to say.
I definitely want to do that soon, but the video of stuff proved a little bit difficult for my computer to handle. So I'm working on trying to find a new way to record if we want to include video!

Listen to Newsted, Jasons own band. its awesome old school thrash that sounds like how Metallica should have for the past 20 yrs now. You'd love it!! His frontman presence is great too.
First of all, you’re looking healthy! I hope your healing journey continues and you kick cancer‘s ass. Onto the video … Dude. The talking. It’s too much. Too too much, like, sincerely and constructively, you talked so incessantly and with total disregard for what was happening in the video that it was nearly unwatchable. I get the point is to hear the commentary, and I do want to hear your thoughts, but the desired vibe is more like experiencing the concert with somebody, versus hearing them talk over it and basically ignore it if that makes sense. There’s got to be a balance. I like your concept and your perspective, but at this ratio, it makes me actively not want to listen to it anymore. I say this as a fan. Some other channels I’ve seen accomplish this by pausing when they want to go up on a tangent or an in-depth commentary. Maybe something to consider? I understand Chris being remote makes that a little more complicated though.
The most successful metal band gets criticized for missing a note 😂. Not sure if you ever played live? I have. Everyone misses a note. Never go to a movie with the bigger guy. Omg! He won’t stop talking
As for you not liking live songs, I remember present chris asking if you really enjoy music or you just enjoy production, and your answer was "I wanna hear the best they can do, and that'll happen probably in a studio" and I get you. I kinda like the band less when I see a live version of a song and its a complete mess.

In James’ own words, the EET FUK label is just him referencing his two favourite things to do lol
Patrick, please listen to both S&M albums with Chris P. and Chris S!!!! Make a video of both S&M albums, please!!!
Box above the stage was a Metallica LiveShit Binge & Purge Box set you could buy...tapes,cd,mag,stickers
Lars being born in Denmark 🇩🇰. It's A Danish Flag.
Dude it’s like pure ADHD
The point of doing these is to
see how they perform live both visually but mainly sound.
Sweary, angry drunk Hetfield doesn't exist anymore
And we have a shittier version as a result of him. But hey, health first ,cant argue with that.
Off the mark, when it comes to… Denmark. 🇩🇰 🇩🇰🇩🇰
O careca não cala a boca no creeping death pqp
Been a Metallica fan since I was a teenager. Now I'm almost 50. Weird to see them here still in their 20's...Where has the time gone?
Fade to Black is my favorite Metallica song. I have the line Emptiness is filling me to the point of agony tattooed on my shoulder 🤘🏼
Actually, they sound way better on their recent tours! Listen to their 72 seasons tour and you’ll see, they still rock!
1:04:58 Anything else people can yell when they're having fun other than f*ck yeah? F*ck yeah!
James uses ZERO whammy
that comment about watching bodom live sounds super cool. As a Finnish I would love that.
IMO saying something "you having a good f**king time" is like the equivalent in baseball when someone gets a hit and the yell to the dugout "let's f**king go!" Until I watched Jomboy Breakdown videos I had no idea how common that is to say, but it's become like a reflexive thing to say.
I wish they would’ve watched one of their new 72 seasons performances from their channel
I definitely want to do that soon, but the video of stuff proved a little bit difficult for my computer to handle. So I'm working on trying to find a new way to record if we want to include video!
@@PatrickMusilek right on, they’ve uploaded a ton of great cinematically shot recordings from the 72 seasons tour of songs from that record and others of which they’ve been uploading 2 from each day of the tour in each city . 72 seasons has proven to me to be a fantastic album with great repeatability. Especially songs like screaming suicide, sleepwalk my life away, 72 seasons and shadows follow of which the latter two, you seemed to enjoy immensely on your reaction last year. I’ll be on the lookout for it soon big dawg. Looking healthy. Stay up🤘👍
Between live songs, James is THA bridge!
I was going to leave a huge comment under each of your videos I watched but for some reason I haven't. I'll still probably do this later. Will The Present Chris be present for the S&M? Will you do at least one track off of S&M2?
I'm not a big discord fan but if there's a channel I'll consider joining it
New performance of “fade to black” are better, especially the Lincoln 2019
Oh god...horrible video. Reacting to what?!?! your own impressions about random stuff? to the sound of your own voice about comments that has nothing to do with the video you're supposed to react to? Listen, watch, react and THEEEEN make comments. I like you guys but this has to stop!!! it's like showing something to someone that doesn't care at all about the content, that makes you mad instead of enjoying the experience of sharing something
I would like to hear a little more about what Patrick is thinking.
Dude... you commented (over solos) on hair styles, nail polish and James' left earring. You're not audio engineers, you're cosmotologists. You're very disrespectful.
I'm gonna dress up in my nicest suit for the S&M reaction
Hell yes brother!
Love that you did fade to black! I wish you did Lincoln NE 2018 fade to black reaction. In my opinion that live show was better than the original fade to black. And fade to black is my favorite song.
When are you guys going to react to garage inc disc 2?
You should also watch ...And Justice For All from this show, that the absolute best performance of that song,
also Master of Puppets starts with a really cool base solo from My Friend of Misery
You should definitely listen to the same three songs from the last tour, interesting comparison
Onto the video …
Dude.
You should react to performances from recent years as well so you can see how they have evolved live over the years
Let's go boyyyyssssssssss
Should've reacted to Battery from this concert. Intense double bass.
You gotta do Battery from this show, it's the fastest they ever played on a recorded show
As for you not liking live songs, I remember present chris asking if you really enjoy music or you just enjoy production, and your answer was "I wanna hear the best they can do, and that'll happen probably in a studio" and I get you. I kinda like the band less when I see a live version of a song and its a complete mess.
Patrick, you miss no fade out in Fade to Black 😱
For Megadeth, I'd vote for:
Hangar 18
Symphony of Destruction
Trust
Whaetver new song, there are some
A Tout Le Monde
pls react to all concert, love u patrick
Patrick been watching for over a year now. Love your channel. Please react to the some kind of monster Ep. It came out in 2004 a year after st anger. It was to promote the documentary. It has a shorter remastered version of some kind of monster on it. It would be fun to see you guys talk about the difference from st anger to the ep. It was remixed and remastered.
They did...

You talked through the whole video....how did you hear any of it to justify a "reaction"
@@mattelliott1925 I agree with you 100%. This video was a terrible performance by me and the fact that this was the first time we tried to do a video reaction of Metallica and I was approaching it from a more of a "laid-back let's just chill and talk about what we see" reaction, is not what people wanted.
In the future I will pay much more attention to the music and focus less on what they're wearing and how goofy they are or how badass they are.
Yoooo Cowboys From Hell reaction!
Jesus 20 mins to start the reaction?
Grrrrr….STOP TALKING!!!!
Patrick, Patrick, you wear a shirt like that on camera you gotta have a fit check -- stand up for 5 seconds and show us the shirt. A shirt like that practically demands it.
God Patrick, the description of the metal you listen to sounds like absolute shit. Glad to see you up and about though.
DO THE WHOLE ALBUM PLEASE!!! And Meteora pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase!
Discord link is invalid....
I fixed the link and it should now permanently work! Thank you for letting us know and make sure you head over there and check it out! We recently held pools to decide which four Megadeth albums were going to listen to one song from and which song from each of those four Megadeth albums we're going to be listening to!
