- In this video I flip through the pages of my most recent sketchbook. The drawings are on toned tan paper using pencil, pens, markers and color pencil. All the illustrations are fantasy based concepts including: Orcs, flatheads, warriors, and various other creatures.
Something I appreciate about your sketchbook tours is your ability to explain your thought process regarding ideation and the journey involved with filling these pages so naturally, i feel like narrating your own work is an art form in of itself. mad respect!
Thanks a bunch and glad you are enjoying the videos!
Very nice! Love all your interpretations of the characters and those flat heads are great. Glad to see you having a resurgence back into your art and posting again. Keep it up!
My goal is to finish atleast one sketchbook i just buy them and hoard them like a dragon lol love your sketchbook tours always inspires me
Thanks, and glad they inspire you!
Beautiful work
Thank you very much!
Love your artwork and love the blood law trilogy, anything written by Joe Abercrombie is amazing !
Thanks! and I will definitely being reading more from Joe.
It would be awesome to see a live drawing with colored pencils. Especially for skin coloring and how you did the white fur. It looked so good and I was curious how that unfolded in real time . I know it's time consuming but some of us enjoy long videos lol glad the channel is alive again! Welcome back friend 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks! and I plan on doing a color pencil / marker drawing that I think will be really be informative for you.
Your artwork is very impressive. This motivates me to continue drawing on my sketchbook. Plus, it helps me to relax and your videos are enjoyable as well. ❤
Thanks! Glad you are inspired to draw!
Nice work man! The Flat-head full body sketch is amazing (impressive anatomy on it). I also really like the full page on Nine-Finger.
I'm currently reading The Expanse (Sci-Fi)
Thanks! I think a good sci-fi might be a nice change of pace after I finish the First law series.
I’ll have check out the books you recommended they sound awesome! Thanks for the video 😎
I like your take on 9 Fingers, Trav! If you would do a graphic novel of that story, I'm there to buy it!
Thanks! I plan on doing a lot more illustrations from the Fist Law series, its such a fun book to draw from.
You got some nice art their
you manage to fill your sketchbooks really fast, very inspiring how good all the work is! The markers look great in that new toned tan! I was meaning to ask you, with your marker pieces in these types of videos, is it biro / ballpoint pen you use for the line art? I wasn't sure if marker tips got ruined by ballpoint ink, or whether it smudges it or anything? Thanks man, looking forward to the next one - also, your ability to draw without reference is insane!
I use regular old bic pens for my marker work, I've never had too much of a problem with bleed. I normally draw my initial sketch with red or pink bic ben. After that I add my markers and then go over the entire drawing with a dark purple or dark blue bic pen.
Yaay! Another tour!
Hi Trav. Can you please post a link to the mechanical pencils you bought on the internet?

@@SketchyTrav Thank you !
Do markers smear the bic pens?
