Meet the Doctor: Mark Kawachi, M.D.

Dr. Kawachi is the Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery, Urologic Oncology at City of Hope. Since his arrival in 1992, Dr. Kawachi has spearheaded the development of two of the most prominent programs in the curative treatment of prostate cancer: Robotic Radical Prostatectomy and Real-time Computer assisted Prostate Brachytherapy. With these two programs on the cutting edge of prostate cancer care; City of Hope is in the enviable position of being one of the only a few centers in the world capable of offering both treatments to appropriate patients. Dr. Kawachi has one of the world's largest experiences with the da Vinci robot for prostatectomy.
