I'm a 40 year old dude. Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda of all time. The soundtrack is also incredible! I'm trying to recall any song from BotW and I just can't. Zelda really lost some magic in that game.
I agree. Other than the fact that the game became a better version of Tomb Raider, it doesn't really have much to offer in the way it makes you feel when you play it. I honestly hope this game never dies. The ambience and the soundtrack alone trump that of any other game's by a long shot.
Sounds like a personal problem. Botw has tons of amazing songs. Just because it does not have a bombastic overworld song does not mean its lacking in music.
It's too bad Windwaker wasn't as appreciated as it ought to have been (I thought the cartoon style worked very well). The only bad things I can say about it is it's missing a dungeon (lame) and before you're able to warp around the ocean, frequently needing to change the wind direction is tedious. The game is a step forward in storytelling and animation.
Yeah but to be fair, many games release incomplete. Halo 2 is the perfect example, but it still has more missions than any other halo game. Times have changed

It's a memorable adventurous march. I don't think it's underrated. I just think there are other pieces within the franchise that are more iconic.
